Great video- is LLY flavor of the month ? Sounds like it…. Even if they kill it with their new offerings, the stock price seems overhyped…..only time will tell
Mounjaro (weight loss) launched in June 2022 and brought 1 billion in revenue last quarter. More efficient than Ozempic for weight loss. Expected to decrease cardio vascular disease risk. They cant keep up with demand. Great runway.
The study which showed mounjaro had greater weight loss effects compared to ozempic was funded by Eli Lilly... I do agree that mounjaro will likely have the same positive cardiovascular effects that ozempic/wegovy has shown with time. Lilly also has orforglipron (oral administration with similar weight loss effects) in early clinical trials. Eli lilly also has retatrutide (glp/Gip/glucagon) in phase II trials which showed even greater weight loss (also being studied for many other metabolic disorders). I do think these medications, if proven safe, could be very profitable but I do think there will be a lot of competition in this space.
As a 25 year old that just started investing for the long term i really appreciate the reality of your content! Very tired of the of content creators selling dreams. This channel is golden
I have played options with these bio companies, and if you follow the news, for news releases, drug releases, patents etc, you can capitalize on short term options, and in some cases 0dtes, become 300-400%ers. That being said, I set an allotted amounts each month to play around with high violability options and futures, bios are great, but I would not do it if I was not in a position to do so.
As I do enjoy seeing how overly priced things are and it spreads awareness and probably gains new viewers when they wake up to the reality. As a regular viewer I would love to see company’s that u have at least hopes and thoughts that maybe this is something worth buying I should look into this. I don’t think there was any chance right off the bat this stock was in consideration. Love ur content thanks
LLY makes a new high almost every single day it has a grave yard of gaps below its new intra day high is 559 like where is the top here cause you can't short it I tried maybe maybe a quick intra day scalp every single drop of 7 dollars or more gets immediately back up to pretty much a new high. In my opinion to keep shorts away they will continue to rip our faces on but hogs get slaughtered, so you can't buy it here either. I think the stock continues to run up till next earnins and then sell the news hard
This video really just made me think of Prof. Aswath Damodarans quote that numbers without a story is just spreadsheet. You really missed the story of Eli and the weight loss drug in this analysis. Not saying Eli is over or underpriced. Just that i think a lot of investors allready have priced in the obisity market revenues.
Look at the optimistic time Moderna had… its what now? 70% less its high? im less worried about NVDA at 30 times sales then i would be about this evaluation in this industry going fwd!
As a physician I have seen too much difficulty predicting which companies will maintain a drug pipeline that continues to impress. They have to continue to reinvent their products over the long term. So many drugs come out like gangbusters and then a competitor comes out with a similar drug that is better and cheaper. I've seen that too many times. I stay away from drug companies.
I hope people go back and look at these videos a few months later. These guys are always super conservative. Don't follow blindly as you will lose out on opportunities. Eli Lilly is over $900 buck today with analyst expectations as high as $1100.
mo do you know how these new weight loss peptides are diffrent that drugs. not sure at all but i kno ozempic is a peptide not a drug. not sure how that works with patents. alot of these new drugs are peptides. which i think is diffrent from drugs? a peptide is a amino acid made in our body not a patentable drug
why would you use 5 year sale ratios? the obesity drugs just started to take off in the last year or two. you are trying to value all companies with the same metrics. that does not make sense.
Great video but the hype and increased revenue estimates are really based around the weight loss potential and efficacy of Mounjaro. It’s a competitor to ozempic in a growing field but the data shows it’s better (associated with higher percentage weight loss and more sustained) and is much better tolerated (fewer side effects). It’s going to be the best selling drug ever.
Best selling drug ever. Sad indeed. Probably true, but sad that we have to pay people to develop drugs because we can’t control our eating habits. People are funny. Constantly attacking problems with more problems instead of just stopping and thinking. Rant over lol
If you had bought say Macdonlds a long time ago, you would be rich today. However such companies may not be value companies as there is obvious upside potential. The value metrics results given here have to be taken with a grain of salt for this reason. Oil p/e ratio vs healthcare p/e vs retail store p/e ratio will likely never line up. Further more within an industry certain companies are forecast to grow while other are shrinking. If you are buying the total dollar earnings of a company over its lifetime you might always end up buying only cheap oil stocks and nothing else. On the other hand other industries might have a higher p/e ratio for a really long time into the future. The company has a p/e ratio today of 71 that people are willing to pay , and at today's prices that p/e ratio of 25 a few years from now, in comparison looks very cheap. Continued growth over many years (even if it slows down) is not priced into the stock.
Exactly. Comparing the P/E ratios of high growth industries to low growth industries can cause you to miss out on fantastic opportunities in the high growth industries.
Yes we do Mo is in charge of that section go to our website and you will find him under the Oracles of EM he does trading long short or day trading .AP
If you need 30% earnings growth for 10y straight to justify the price of a business, you might be speculating. Lol At least your in good company with Stanley Drunkenmiller.
Too much of the pricing is riding on 2 drugs, one of which isn’t necessarily approved for use in the US. Vastly overpriced company that has too much riding on a single area of treatment
LLY is a beast. Three years from now you'll be happy that you held.
Finally something different 🙌🏽
Thanks for the comment ! AP
I'm asking for a UNH or Elevance analysis in months, but instead we receive BABA, Intel and Meta analysis all over again :))

Great video 🫡 I would love to see one on MCK McKesson thanks EM family!
"Something for beginner, Something for advance" is the new trend line for EM.
need an update on this one.
Thanks for the analysis. It would be great to see you use your tool to screen for a less well covered company with better numbers.
anyone who bought this is happy now wow what a blowup
Where's the source of analyst estimates? Any idea?🤔

lilly is up 40 percent since they made this video. they missed the glp1 which very likely could be the highest rev drug class ever

Ciao complimenti vi seguo sempre dall'Italia. Analisi molto accurate, si può avere un video che analizzi General Mills? Grazie un saluto dall'Italia.

Does that guy understand growth?
What’s everyone saying about Q3 earnings? Beat?
