Not sure what it is called in my language but there is an old wives tale in Pakistan that whoever scrapes the pot to eat will have rain on thier wedding. So I decided to scrape the pot and not get married :). esp when it's sweet rice that is being cooked.
do you use in nearly every day though? For many Japanese households, the rice cooker is used every single day. That might be one reason why your family’s rice cooker still works. Also, appliances today are crap compared to 20-30 years ago.... the capitalist market rewards cheaply made appliances because consumers don’t want to spend the kind of money required for quality manufacturing. According to the us bureau of labor statistics, prices for appliances were 20.41% lower in 2020 vs 1997. The consumer price index started tracking prices for appliances in 1997. Appliances costing $20 In 1997 would cost $15.92 in 2020 for an equivalent purchase. The market is forcing those prices down and manufacturers need to cut costs in order to make any margin of profit. If consumers want better lasting, better quality appliances, they should reflect that in the prices they are willing to pay for their appliances. It’s basic economics.

I love watching Jun cook, he's so talented! You did great too, Rachel, this looked so good!
"This one is also expired, but more recently!" That's basically my secret kitchen technique!
Bokksu having a map showing you were everything comes from is so cool! I wish they could do that everywhere!
Rachel nailed the Japanese dating game voice in the "sweet love" section at the beginning: D
This whole video is so pure, cute, and funny! Thank you for making my day a little brighter R&J!
Rachel: "We are going to enjoy eating these slowly over the next month--"
Jun in a sing-song voice: "Liar! Over the next few DAYS!"
Seriously, you two are just too amazing and hilarious!
I ordered a 3-month Bokksu subscription for my best friend for Christmas (using your link). She loved the first box! Thanks for accepting this sponsorship and sharing it with us!
"It's in your blood, woman! You can do it!" I've never laughed so hard at something Jun said before. That was hilarious! LMAO
学校の環境が酷くて毎日しんどくなって気分が落ち込むんですけど、お二人の動画を見ると癒されて気分が晴れます
A great way to wake up is to see you guys upload 🥰
I love watching these two and their cats. Very wholesome, thank you Rachel and Jun.
