I think I listened to this 100 times... Sheikh is very accurate and humble: "People praise me which is no right, people criticise me MAYBE it's not right"... He is even shy to say that people wrongfully criticise him. May Allah reward him with best of rewards in this blessed month!
I can recall this lesson and how this shows that shaykh is not just about information but has got a lot of wisdom, spirituality and practicality as well mashallah. He is not just a great teacher and scholar but amazing example as a muslim too
Some very pertinent points raised but I would say that you can't ignore all criticism and just carry on as though it doesn't matter. All of us should be aiming to improve and sometimes that can only be achieved when others point out your faults. It should of course be constructive and sincere, and not aimed at defaming and getting one over someone else. And analysing academic differences is part and parcel of being a scholar so even more reason not to ignore criticism

Masha'Allah sheikh is deep, insightful and incredibly knowledgeable. Very friendly, approachable and a diamond amongst the scholars of the UK.
ماشا الله what beautiful advice
Unfortunately most of these criticisms of SAN are based on sectarianism rather than valid Islamic opinion.
