Thank you very much for posting this video! Since covid, the cost of a brake job has sky rocketed, so I really appreciated this step by step video that allowed me to do my own brakes without having to pay an arm and a leg.
Most shops are getting $250-$350 per wheel to do a brake job now. It's INSANE. Glad our auto repair video that shows you how to replace the brakes on a KIA Sportage has helped you out. Have a great day!
This was my exact car. The breaks were shaking a bit, so I replaced pads...they needed it regardless, back more than front. Shake on driver side front was still there. Tonight I just replaced both front rotors. Did the whole thing in about an hour. I would not have dared without this video. This made it such that it was a very simple thing. My largest fear were those screws that needed to be taken out of the rotor. Lucky for me, they were easy. Then hammering off the old rotor took a bit... it all went back together slick. Test drive was great smooth as could be.... total repair on my own was under $150 for all four brakes and two front rotors
On my 2018 KIA Sportage it is AWD the front brakes on my year, make and model do not specify any options as far as 2wd or AWD. The REAR brakes do have an option of a manual or electric emergency brake so the rears do seem to be different depending on the emergency brake option that you have.
If it is the rear brake rotor that is being difficult, the emergency brake shoes might not be backed off far enough to allow the brake drum to slide off. Hope this helps you out.

The rotor is loose but won't come off. Is there something holding it in place? I've removed the screws and the parking brake is off.

What’s the tool for the rotor screws? Where can I find it or what can I use to remove them
It is a manual drive impact driver. Here is a link to one on Amazon, hope this helps you out. amzn.to/3RlGVcn

We currently do not have a video on this particular repair.
38:08.... I've changed rear brakes on GM and Chrylser vehicles and I've never seen clips before. Is that a Kia thing?
No, It's not as common as other setups but I have seen them on other vehicles.
Whats the brand and part# for the pads?
