I'm so happy to find this ! I just had my DNA done in April and found out I'm 66% Scandinavian. Found my birth parents as well. Most of Father's side from Norway so Nisse's are in order !! I'd better gather supplies and get busy !! Thank you so much !!
I just love a person that can randomly cut material and create an actual thing from it!! wow. I need a pattern and step by step for everything. lol I love these and might still attempt to make them one day.
I'm fairly late to the party (I've just discovered Nisse half a year ago), but I'm planning to make some of these for friends with small children or grandchildren. Thanks for the tutorial.
I was bored one christmass day a few years ago and went through my parrents house trying to collect how many nisser my mom had put up. There was over 100. My mom is obsessed with them. The one in the video is a very popular nisse these days. When I was a kid it was more kravlenisser everywhere. Nisser that looked like they where crawling around in weird places.
Oh So Hygge . Wish we had good dollar (£) stores here. Ours aren't so good for decent craft materials. I'm going to watch this video again, just love it x
So cute!!!!! But just a tip, if you use a craft knife or the like on the wrong side of the fur, you can avoid cutting any of the hairs! I learned that the hard way...
Hi! Sorry I didn't make a pattern for this one. I just made a circle then wrapped another piece around to get the width of the triangle. Hope this helps!
Thanks to your vid I have built my own project for norvegian gnomes, but I have a great doubt about the circular base: how much It have to misure respect to conic base? How do you misure the body and the base just to have the perfect base for that conic body? I have already tried several times, but I’m not able to fine the perfect misure of the circle for that body... Many thanks for giving me an explanation...😊
Thank you for your question. For this project I didn't have an exact measurements. I cut both the circle and the triangle roughly then wrapped the bottom of the triangle shape around the circle to see if it lined up. If the triangle is too big just cut off the excess/if the circle is too big, just cut it smaller. Hope this helps!
Hi Diane, these little gnomes don't really have any measurements. You can make them whatever size you want them to be. You make a circle for the base and a round bottomed triangle for the body. You can keep cutting them down to size to match 😊
Oh So Hygge I'm not mad LOL. I got some awesome faux fur in the mail today for my Tomte making adventures. Thanks to you and your awesome vid. Much love!
I am planning on posting another tutorial on how to make these gnomes with dimensions very soon. I only made this video as a quick idea of how to make one. I never used a templates or measurements when making them in the first place, I just cut the fabric/felt until it fit. Hope this helps ☺️
I love your Gnomes! So cute! I think Gnomes are magical and very secretive. I have a book about Gnomes, by Wil Huygen and Rien Poortvliet. It tells many things about Gnomes, and is my favorite book! Thank you for your tutorial! ~Janet in Canada

Oh So Hygge grazie, io ho pensato di fare un cerchio, piegarlo in due e poi disegnare il cono dalla metà del cerchio in su, non so se si capisce....belli, io ne ho fatto uno ma non é venuto bene....ciao 😘
I love how you fast forward thru it! I do t have time to watch a person hand sew! So very darling!!
I'm so happy to find this ! I just had my DNA done in April and found out I'm 66% Scandinavian. Found my birth parents as well. Most of Father's side from Norway so Nisse's are in order !! I'd better gather supplies and get busy !! Thank you so much !!
Wow that's so awesome! Enjoy reconnecting with your Scandinavian heritage, there's so many more adorable traditions to learn ❤️
I just love a person that can randomly cut material and create an actual thing from it!! wow. I need a pattern and step by step for everything. lol I love these and might still attempt to make them one day.
Yes I agree! But this is all free handed and no dimensions are given anywhere? It would be a hit and miss trial and error thing for me for sure..
I'm fairly late to the party (I've just discovered Nisse half a year ago), but I'm planning to make some of these for friends with small children or grandchildren. Thanks for the tutorial.
Wow.. Watching somebody sewing again was different.. Too cute!!
Thank you 😊

I love this story. Over 100 is impressive. They have become very commercial looking now, but I love seeing all the different styles ☺️
My Mom has had a collection since 1958 and adds to it each year. I agree they're getting too commercial. I like the older ones.
Totally adorable.
Thank you ☺️
My gosh! This is adorable, thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're welcome 😊
Oh my goodness, I'm off to order some faux fur. Thankyou for sharing xx
You're so welcome! I used old faux fur from a Santa hat from a dollar store that was lying around 😉
Oh So Hygge . Wish we had good dollar (£) stores here. Ours aren't so good for decent craft materials. I'm going to watch this video again, just love it x
Oh I'm sure Poundland or a 99p store might have something. If not, there's always Hobbycraft 😊 Good luck on your hunt! Thanks for the lovely comment
I can't wait to make a nisse and name him!
Great video. I love it!!!!
So cute!!!!! But just a tip, if you use a craft knife or the like on the wrong side of the fur, you can avoid cutting any of the hairs! I learned that the hard way...
Yes that's a good tip! That's how I managed to keep the end of the beard long without keeping the backing. Very useful 😊
very cute!

This is gorgeous - but how do you get the right size of the circle to fit the cone? Could we have a pattern please?
Hi! Sorry I didn't make a pattern for this one. I just made a circle then wrapped another piece around to get the width of the triangle. Hope this helps!
So cute! Can you make a video on how to make the larger Tomtes? And make it slowed down a bit? Thx
This has been one of my most popular tutorials so I may make another for this Christmas 😊Stay tuned!
@@OhSoHygge I agree with Lynn Lee on slowing it down a little bit. :D LOVE THIS TUTORIAL btw.

Wouldn't the decorative edge been put to better use on the hat? Just a thought. X
That's such a good idea! I didn't think of that-whoops! Thanks though 😊
Yes, agree, I feel they could be decorated up a little more, say a bell on end of hat?
Super cuuute! Adore-A-Thon. ~X💗X~
классное видео=)
Спасибо❣️
Where do you get the beards from ? thanks
wondering how to know how big to make the circle for the bottom?
Good question ☺️ I cut both the circle and the triangle roughly then wrapped the bottom of the triangle shape around the circle to see if it lined up. If the triangle is too big just cut off the excess/if the circle is too big, just cut it smaller. Hope this helps!
thanks, i will try again lol
Ok great! I hope it works out for you ☺️
Lindos!!!!!!
bello , QUALI SONO LE MISURE DEL CORPO , LA BASE E IL CAPPELLO ? grazie
Spiacente, nessuna misurazione è stata tagliata. Nuovo video in arrivo con maggiori dettagli. Mi dispiace, Google Translate 😊

What are the measures for gnome ?
I didn't have an exact measurements for this project. I cut both the circle and the triangle roughly then wrapped the bottom of the triangle shape around the circle to see if it lined up. Put the beads in before the stuffing.
Come fate a tagliare la base rotonda a misura perfetta con il sopra...
Tagliare all'incirca entrambe le forme e allinearle.
¡Buena suerte!
