To celebrate the release of unReal on iTunes (radi.al/unReal), Teton Gravity Research (TGR) and Anthill release one of the most acclaimed segments from the film. Widely recognized as the best slopestyle mountain biker in the world, Brandon Semenuk has become the first mountain biker to film a full segment in a single continuous shot. This uninterrupted shot was filmed by the most advanced gyro-stabilized camera system, the GSS C520, mounted to a truck on a custom road built next to a custom trail that took three weeks to build. This true cinematic achievement required perfect coordination between Semenuk, Anthill Films, and TGR with regard to athleticism, planning, timing and logistics.
Injured at the time, Semenuk only hit the full line once.
The historic moment was produced for unReal, the feature mountain bike film inspired by the unprecedented creative union of production companies TGR and Anthill Films, and the limitless imaginations of a group of the best mountain bikers in the world.

GET LOST IN THE MOMENT
"There comes a time in all our lives when we must let go of all the chaos and clutter of the modern world and tune our minds to a simpler idea…to see into that empty space just a few feet in front of us and see nothing else… to see the path ahead as a story yet to be written. Entire days of our lives can pass by without meaning, yet within these moments of absolute clarity there’s an entire lifetime worth remembering. It’s simply a matter of letting the rest of the world melt away…"

One take, two bikes, pure MTB progression... and a sick song. A+ part Semenuk
Red Bull damn it's the real Red Bull
Bed Rull
He was never on a hardtail? He does the first half on his slope bike, a trek ticket, as it is a mellower, more dirt jump-style start. He switches to his downhill bike, a trek session park, as the bottom of the track has much bigger hits.
I could do that. Prretty cool, Red Bull.
hey guys! great work, did you make any behind the scenes/making of? really interested
6 years later and this might still be the best segment ever filmed.
It still is 7 years later
@@christina4411 8 years later, it has stood the test of time.
The fact that it was released in 4k 8 years ago is insane
I can't even walk that smooth.
This is with a drone
_LorenzHD he is taking about the riding
@@lorenz9956 it actually is filmed with a car watch the making of
Pure dope killing it
@@lorenz9956 It's not a drone, it's a stabilised rig on a car
7 years later and its still my favorite video of all time
Is that the best MTB segment ever? We think so.

i like this Rider,
verrry nice :)
The greatest MTB video segment there is. Riding, Music, Cinematography. It just flows.
It's good but not as good as dirt blizzard.
Yes it is
i agree
That is one of the most impressive pieces of cinematography i've ever seen. Not to mention the exceptional trail building and riding! Unbelievable and so unique. Hats off to everyone who played a part in this.
Danny Huber it’s even more impressive when you realize this version is slow motion
...and not filmed with a drone or helicopter!
are yoy new to bike movies ?

My channel name you ruined the perfect comment on the perfect video. How dare you :3
Underrated comment
@Aifze eu I’m like the first person to comment in 5 years
So smooth it almost makes me believe even I could do it :)
Nicely done!
***** For real. The best always make it look easy.
+Michel Bertrand Great comment! Just what I was thinking.
happens a lot on the internet. specially on youtube!
I appreciate the lack of dubstep
omg so much
the music is SAIL
Nope not really... try Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth... It should give better results ;)
Literally the same song? I love the song tho
@@efdbjon2114 xD
Wow, Unreal Engine 4.0 has gone a long way!
toutagamon LOL!
toutagamon Haha, this is the most funny comment I have ever read :D My day was not the best, thanx for making it better! ;)
if only we had a mountian biking video game. that would be great.
+toutagamon my thoughts exactly
+GladeStone Why not buy a real bike and enjoy it outdoors?
8 years and I still get chills from this.. where the hell has time gone
Amazing camera work, video editor got an extra hour for lunch
15 minutes of basic color correction and boom! Done! 😅
@@AxelNavaja I don’t think they even did that! Just put the song in then put it in the movie
@@caleb5882 it’s slowed down
I’m.
Wouldn't expect to see you in these comments😂
This right here inspired me to push the limits in my riding back in 2015 and began to learn jumps (in my 40’s) 3 years later I’m hitting jumps, riding faster and loving every minute I’m on my bike. 🤘🏼🤘🏼

When I'm sad I watch this video to cheer me up. Works every time, so satisfying!
+João Pereira Either this one or "the ridge" with Macaskill.
+thewirah1 Yes, just checked it out. It's amazing
Sorry to hear that you're sad. Go for a bike ride! ;-)
Simple Sam Someone stole my bike :/
But i'm over it now thanks :D
+João Pereira Wow :/ Cheers mate!
Superb skill by the bike rider and the cameraman!
Camera arm costs probably the same as the car carrying it
Guys isn't this a render
Brandon makes it look so effortless, like he isn't even trying and yet he is so smooth!
This video is honestly what got me into MTB.. Can't tell you how many times I've watch it now.
Amen brother, same here!!!..the best!
I simply want to know how he plans to get his truck back at the end of the run ;)
Beautifully shot!
Maybe he'll ride his bike to get it?
Shuttle

Someone at the top drives it down. Common sence. :/
+Jake Sharam mate its a little joke, common sense*
They eventually chose a 2,000-acre ranch in Cambria, California, near San Luis Obispo. A crew of men with a mini-excavator and a Bobcat skid-steer spent a month building the track, the jumps, and the road, parallel to the track, from which the crew would film Semenuk.
Thank you for this info. Thought it looked like the central coast! Makes this segment that much cooler.
This is the most satisfying video I have ever watched
Perfect video! The skill and fluidity of the biker is matched by the epic camera man! The fact that there are dislikes to this video proves that no matter what you do, there will always be trolls out there that will not appreciate it.
til this day. this remains one of the best MTB videos ever made!
These videos are like therapy. If I'm having a moment and I need to calm down, I always know I can go onto UA-cam, find a sick MTB edit done to an amazing song, and I'll always end up in a better place
Perhaps the greatest MTB segment ever made. From the ingenuity of the trail-building to the filming and the music. It has everything
It gets even better every time I rewatch it!
Who’s here in 2024
Me
Every year since
Me
I am. Daily.
Here watching from Bentonville Bike Fest 2024!
This is my backyard, well to be honest about 10 miles up the coast from Morro Bay where I live. You can drive on HWY 46 west toward Cambria and look to the south, you will see these hills.
Didn't want it to end
Thing I love: Whole video, One drone, No cutting and editing... ALSO SO SMOOTH ON EVEN HARDTAIL..
Really appreciate able.
No drone bro
@@juliusvogt3747 than what was the flying camera 😕😕
There is a reason why this ride seems so smooth: it has been slowed down a bit (I guess to match the song better) You can't have such air time with this speed. Check the video about the making, it's about 1.2x faster.
Still an awesome video with an awesome rider, on beautiful landscape. MTB video of 2015 for me.
+Zsombor Albert Yeah it looks normal when you watch it at 1.25x speed
+Zsombor Albert Either way it looks amazing
+Zsombor Albert True enough, though if you watch Semenuk's head and torso they are rock-solid at any speed. The guy's riding is just butter.
I disagree. He looks twitchy in the beginning, no one moves like that. I think it's just his flawless jump technique that allows him to make that much air.
i think its because there's not much to show speed and because the cars moving at a similar speed
I bet his bike is worth more than his truck 😆
Probably
TomsVlogs trek ticket s is $3000
TomsVlogs obvio
cj Slammed his is probably custom built though, I would say his is around $4500
easily in the 4-5k range just for the slopestyle bike. the big bike he gets on later in the clip is likely near twice that. downhill parts are so expensive.
So we’ll filled, great music, great riding, great location. This is one of the best MTB videos out there, and I try to emanate it every time I make a video. Great job!
This video is beautiful. Perfect day. Perfect course. Perfect ride. Perfect shot. It should have 400M views. You don't need to ride to appreciate this!
Тимур Каргинов посоветовал🤟🏻
seen it so many times and it just doesn’t get old
probably the slickest thing i've seen in 2019!
Still watching this video after 2 years its coming out , thats the best mountainbike freeride video in history !! Brandon Semenuk is the greatest Slope rider on earth for sure ! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
simply the best thing i have ever seen in my life.
Two years old, but still my number ONE ! I am getting so emotional every time i watch.
Thanks to all involved in the production process creating such a masterpiece. Perfect match of landscape, cam angle, track design, smoothness, spectacular riding skill and music. Really unreal...
It is really that hard to find out WHERE WAS THIS SHOT??????? I've looked everywhere online, sseeeesh
RarityGamer Could be New Zealand, looks like their type of hills. Beautiful too.
lestki Tijaunna, Mexico apparently
RarityGamer OK Cheers. Spectacular countryside.
RarityGamer It was shot in Windows XP background desktop.
RarityGamer Cambria, California!
NEVER get tired of watching this beautiful ride, Semenuk , What a Professional ;0
Everything was just right in this clip. Perfect one shot scene and paired music and of course the gymnastics . Great job, would love to see more of these.
WOW!
Now THAT's some mighty fine truck driving -- he actually made it look effortless.
And rather than stick around to soak up all the congratulations, he hopped on a bicycle and rode off somewhere. Truly a class act.
Почему-то это видео очень расслабляет
I've watched this 40 times , B. S. IS THE GOAT! FLAWLESS!
The part where he does the drop off and song matches to "everybody look what's going down" is so perfect and probably overlook. Amazing.
Great job. Very fluid.
Beautiful. So refreshing to have a video with one cut. I may be old but modern bike videos with half second cuts drive me absolutely mad.
Smoothest ride I've ever seen....Amazing!
The riding style, smoothness and slomotion in the filming tied together with the song perfectly amazing edit 👏👏👏
This track is done in such a way you could do it chainless. I wish we had all downhill tracks here.
pedaling sucks
Why did this take 5 years for me to see? Such a mood
Оу, всем привет, это Куджи подкаст
9 years later and it is unreal to watch it over again!
Yeah, i think this is the best video i've seen in my life. Thank you
Why in the world would anyone give this video a thumbs down? Jealousy? Makes no sense...oh wait...some people give everything a negative twist. Now I get it. Beautiful video guys!
Спасибо Тимур, правда расслабляет:)
Я искала этот коммент!
I’ve watched this dozens of times and it never gets old
Mahalo for sharing the moment. You are truly a devoted!!!
I can't stop watching this.
Реально расслабляет
I saw this video a couple of years ago and it was amazing. it just popped into my mind today as I heard Buffalo Springfield's song. I looked up the video and it is still one of the smoothest, most calming biking shots that I've seen.
wow. this looks like heaven
Nope. It's Cambria--or as the locals call it--Cambrilot!
I love the trail and this piece of music is perfectly chosen!
i respect you man!
I'm totally blissed out after watching that...
Расслабляющее видео
i love how he's going relatively slow in the beginning section compared to other mountain bike edits yet he still manages to pull of some crazy tricks and hit some crazy jumps. sick vid

The amount of times I’ve watched this
It’s too good
This is like at least the 30th time I'm watching this vid.
I watched this once and it's the best mountain biking video I have seen, now after several watches its still so satisfying to watch
И правда расслабляет😊

The Ease of Fluidicity and Grace is Unmeasureable..on in Emotion and Application is the true feeling of..Freebird.
The moment when he landed on that tiny patch of dirt in the end was so satisfying for my ocd.
Five years later, that's still a hilarious comment.
Still watching this
frickin therapeutic
Took the words right out of my mouth...uhh...keyboard.
One continuous shot, no cuts. What's not to like? This is pure bad-assery.

Never get bored of this masterpiece 🤯
2:30 that drop is so sick!
***** idk sorry
cave man
+Zep dabs isnt it a ninja drop?
Killer Karrot it is, a caveman is when you run into the drop
Not to mention it's essentially a double drop, since he has no time to adjust his footing before blasting another!
These are not the best MTB skills.
This is not the most difficult line.
This is not the most risky ride.
This is not the most awsome landscape.
But this is the the BEST MTB video so far.
This is "just" a perfectly smooth ride filmed and edited perfectly.
This was 6 years ago. Since then I did not see any MTB video like this.
Why didn't go this masterpiece viral?!?
Is it slowed down?
Still one of my all time favorite videos... of anything. The flow and the music is top notch.
This jump after bike change O.o
that caught my attention also
Still one of the more amazing videos in UA-cam.
Take your breath away riding from Brandon Semenuk..!

Probably the biggest statement I've seen in a while, that beautiful but crazy huge line, the smoothness and the technical tricks, even the cave man drop in when he changed bikes, all mixed with that song... wait.. he is #1 In the world now right? Well if he's not anymore? I'd bet he's top 3 and a huge threat in any competition. New era of biking is here and they area raising the bars of these sport even higher.. BEAUTIFUL!

What it's all about, the fun and freedom you get in the flow! Spot on.
I wonder if they just left that track there, if so, probably worth a visit...
Iove how the course goes from these really easy rollers n stuff right into massive jumps and Brandon's steeze makes it look sick
