I really appreciate comparing latest phone with older versions. It allows for users with older phone make a decision if it is worth upgrade. As much as it is cool to compare pixel vs 20fe for example but people won't be switching between them.
I got mine Samsung 10+ used from Back Market website, I couldn't tell it wasn't brand new, came with brand new replaced rechargeable battery, for about $190 USD. I also grabbed a smartwatch Samsung Galaxy Watch SM-R805U 46mm, believe it or not it has more features than the newer samsung smartwatches, & samsung ear pods. Everything works great, & all together I think I paid less than $500, including the cases I wanted off Samsung's website. One of the super neat features is I can use just my watch as a phone, leaving my phone at home. I can make & take calls, stream music to my ear pods, & the smart watch uses the same cell phone chip "virtually", & only costs me I think $8 USD more a month, so I only use it during the summer months, when I'd not be wearing a jacket because we all know the Samsung 10+ is BIG. And one of the features this older model has it can be used to swipe at the gas pump, Samsung took this feature out of the newer models. Last thing I want to do is carry my wallet, the state I am in, cops have to accept digital copies of everything I'd need to drive. So my summer involves me only carrying my car keys, & my smartwatch.
I just bought a Pixel 4a 5G and have an S10. Was doing the same tests and got the same results. Though the camera and vanilla experience alone on the Pixel is worth the tradeoff. Not to mention retaining the unlimited Google photos storage on the Pixel.
@@dannnsss8034 actually you continue to get storage saver unlimited up to the 5/4a 5G. Just not original res which they stopped with the Pixel 2 as you mention.
even if performance is a bit lower on the pixel 5, it gives you way better battery life, in the long run it is going to outlast the s10 in every department. Not only is the camera and screen better and you get 5G, you are getting almost all the same features and also guaranteed software updates.
Review heavily biased to Samsung. Testing speed of phones goes beyond just opening up apps. Eg, Messages opened faster on s10 because you hadn't set it up yet on Google pixel. No one really cares about milliseconds of difference in opening apps. Instead of quoting battery life stat's and saying "maybe it's faster I don't know" you should do a battery test. An extra 600mah is pretty massive difference Instead is saying the camera setting has more features, do a camera test and let's see the results. Your channel and vids would gain more traction if you planned and put more thought into your reviews and what the audience really wants to know.
Great vid! You should turn off animations before testing like this. There is little to no validity in results when looking for speed when 2 different companies implement animations differently. please run this back with animations turned off in developer options! thanks...
Pixel 4 is faster than pixel 5..and literally almost identical in speed. With the S10..own both pixel 4 and S10..my S10 is just as fast ..I switch between both for cameras .sometimes Samsung's is better but at night pixel is king..check out mike_c775 @instagram to see example pics.
I really appreciate this video as I have been trying to decide which of these two to purchase next. A bit of friendly advice for your video production: I think you could use more inflection in your voice. I am also guilty of speaking in a more monotone voice. Good inflection keeps me interested in what you're saying, and helps me differentiate the different facts you're trying to showcase.
The pixel 5 is literally just another boring android phone with a hole punch. Literally the s10e already had that. And people want to laugh at iPhone when android phones basically do the same.
Android phones come in many different offerings, so I am not sure what you mean by boring. Apple doesn't even innovate any and simply copies Android innovations. Plus, what the hell brought you here since you're such an Apple fanboy.
@@anonymousguy3826 the notch in iOS is implemented FAR better than ANY notch or punchole on any android. iOS devs only have one notch so size their apps for and that’s what contributes to iOS being a smoother more consistent interface, something u wouldn’t know due to the fact that you’ve clearly never owned an iPhone. U take something you’ve never experienced and compare the numbers and notch size to your fragmented android without any knowledge on how iOS operates.

Exactly 👌

S10 is my all time favourite design smartphone specific in white colour
For future comparison videos: keep the phones on the same side throughout the video. They switched sides when you started talking about the cameras.

Yoi don get unlimited Google Storage on new Pixels. That stopped after like the Pixel 2.

I've been waiting for one of these!
Interested to see if the animations affect the loading speeds, pixel 5 animations seem a bit longer drawn out?

I liked this video but I hoped that you show photo and video samples, so we could compare. 👍
Was actually debating which one to take thank you
S10 is a nice and speedy, but the screen is extremely sensitive to the cracks
Yep. I'm on my second screen. $330 for the screen and replacement
Yes, I now need a new screen
Pixel 5 has more freedom than the snapdragon s10
Why does it appear that the colours on galaxy s10 look washed out?
S10 may be one of the best phones ever made...
What about Pixel 5 vs S10e?
Same result.

You don't press the apps at the same time. I can tell from the beginning which one is going to win. Try a better method than just trusting your hands.
I'm glad i keep my snapdragon S10
The S10 doesn't have 120hz does it?
S10 have dynamic amoled. Which is the best display from samsung on a smartphone.
Hello Simple Alpaca

Atleast Android phones don't use a giant notch. Iphone notch looks like a 100 metre sprint track.
