I watched GG for the first time this year. I loved it at the start, but I would've enjoyed it a lot more as a teenager. But now, being around the same age as Lorelei, I have a lot of issues with it (but I don't feel like writing a thesis, lol) Rory is also someone I wouldn't have wanted to be friends with. It's okay to have unlikeable/flawed characters, but it felt like the writers themselves didn't intend her to be and she was only called out like twice in the show... Anyway, back to the vlog
Aww I so understand!!! Rory is definitely a flawed character and the show has its share of faults. But I think it’s also a show that is nostalgic for lots of people who have grown up watching it and for lots like me, the small town atmosphere acts more like a comfort show!!🍂
A lot of the books you stated are required reading in high school (such as Romeo and Juliet, Catcher in the Rye, and To Kill a Mockingbird for instance). I took the little test and it says I read 51 of the books, making it 15% read. I am a bookworm and so many of these books I would NOT read at all and some are on my to-read list. There are about two books on the list I read this year. Cute outfits! I like the red sweater. Although the show of Gilmore Girls was coming out when I was in high school, I didn't watch it until maybe 7 or 8 years ago but I wasn't crazy about it. I had a hard time liking the main characters and their fickleness with men or attitudes towards people. haha.
I love the structure of this video! I’ve definitely read way less off the list than you 😅 I’m watching Gilmore Girls for the first time this year and loving all the bookish vibes ☺️🍂
Awww thank you so much!! I really had the best time filming and editing the video so I’m filled with warmth to hear you enjoyed it🥰 it’s truly such a great show for the bookish vibes!!🍂
hi ahya this video was so cosy to watch 🤎 I haven't watched Gilmore girls yet but I plan to soon!!! I loved all the simple retro pieces they are so timeless and beautiful. I would love to see more videos like this 💌 ps. I hope you have a lovely and wonderful day 💕
Awww thank you so much lovely!! I couldn’t agree more that all the pieces are so timeless🥺🤎 I’m so happy you’d like to see more videos like this because I really loved filming it!!☁️
Thank you for the video! I used to watch GG with my mum many years ago (she passed away since then), so I have a lot of warm, precious memories associated with the show. I scored 38 on the list, although there must be about 5-6 classics I’m not sure that I read, or whether I only read excerpts, so I didn’t count those titles. (If I did read them, that was 20-25 years ago 👵🏻) The test kind of challenged my memory TBH 😂 And Northanger Abbey is also one of my favorite Jane Austen novels, I think this one is truly underrated. (I mean, a man who “understands muslins”!)
Oooh yes! I’ve been meaning to film something of the sorts but I haven’t gotten round to it yet sorry😢 I’ve included some footage of how I use my notion library in one of my videos though - I think it’s the one called cosy reading vlog, unboxing bookish mail, writing in cafes and my notion library: ua-cam.com/video/o-wWAQffjOI/v-deo.htmlsi=VA5O_EbggLvx459e 🤎
Awwww ohmygosh this is so sweet of you!! Thank you for enjoying the video🥺🤎 I hope you really enjoy reading Alice in Wonderland and The Master & Margarita!! I’ve still yet to finish reading Through the Looking Glass and, so I’ll be trying to finish that off this week>
Every video of yours is just so cozy and relaxing. The best start to my day 🩷🍂
Ohh, you have no idea how much that means to me!! Thank you so much🥺🤎

@@AhyasCottage Yes, the small town cosiness also drew me, at first, so I get that! Also, you look absolutely stunning in the red top and long skirt!

I have read just 28 books, but I have many Rory's books on my TBR. So maybe someday. ☺ Thank you for your video, it was really enjoyable.
Ohhh I’d love to know if we’ve read the same books!!🥰 Thank you so much for enjoying the video🥺🤎
I've read many books as you and what I want to read is russian classics, especially Anna Karenina. I quite afraid of it because it's huge book. ☺

Your videos are so pure and calming Ahya! I also love your "State Flower of Georgia" sweater, where did you get it?
Awww thank you so much!!😭 It's a sweater that I bought from Korea from a brand called SPAO I think🤎
You really give out Rory vibes to the fullest❤❤❤...you kinda resemble Rory too...
Ohmygoodness, how kind of you!!!😭😭🤎
Can you do a video on how you log your thoughts while reading using notion? I'd love to see that 🐇 Greetings from Germany!

Watching your video I wish it was fall in my country, to get cozy reading a book 🤎
Awww I really do love autumn as well🥺🍂 sending all the cosy vibes!🤎
Your Alice's Adventures in Wonderland...which edition is it??? It looks so charming ❤
It’s a copy from Italy that my husband gifted me🥰 I think the publisher’s name is Giunti Editore🤎
The thing about Romeo and Juliet is I kind of hate it... but I've read it about three times in the years since GCSEs
Hahahaha I totally get it!
