Hear me out - Corley played for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The campus is built on a hill and the students have to walk up the hill to class everyday. Corley has climbed hills literally and is a hilltopper metaphorically, therefore, he will climb the hill of our dynasty WR rankings (I am SOOO biased).
Desperately needed the AD Mitchell info 🙏🏽 Never made sense why the analytics never matched the eye test. Appreciate the dedication man. Keep up the good work.
Great video Ron, you talked me off the ledge with AD Mitchell. You made some great points about draft capital and landing spot not being a huge concern with his profile still being strong. I was turned off by the landing spot and draft capital but never gave up on the talent. He’ll still be a target of mine in the second.
@@BreadVanVleet this draft is so deep if youre gonna rebuild and ship everyone out this is the year to do it .. took over 2 orphans and bombed them both for multiple picks this year also
I like the backwards ranking. I already know the top WR’s, but I have picks: 2.03, 3.03, 4.03, and 5.03 Also, where do you get these RS prospect rankings (silver, gold, etc.)?
Another banger Ron! Got a rookie draft starting Friday and I've had a lot of difficulty ordering the guys anywhere from BTJ all the way down to Pearsall. This helped me big time. About to join that patreon!!
Great video Ron, I really enjoy your prospect breakdowns that you’ve done the past couple of seasons. What are your thoughts on Javon Baker? A lot of people like him in the third round of rookie drafts
Personally love the positional ranking videos - might be harder to do one for RBs given that there's fewer with decent probability to be fantasy relevant but would love to see if you could throw one together. Gonna have to butt heads with you on the AD ranking. Take it with as small a grain of salt as you can - I'm still doing deeper validation on this - but I built out a similar model that generally agrees with these rankings except that I do prefer Pearsall and Legette to AD, even if you remove the effect of draft capital on the ranking. Our models seem to use pretty similar metrics - draft capital, years in college, SRS - but I've also included one metric that I believe to be reasonably correlated with fantasy success (Y1-3 PPG): ADOT Adj. Catch %, in the player's best season. Qualitatively, it seems like such a metric would be meaningful given that catch % can factor in either how open a player can get, their ball tracking, and catch point skills all in one, and then removes the factor of ADOT. And, given that it's only considering their best season, it should theoretically represent the sample in which the receiver was most involved in their college career. AD ranks low amongst peers in a similar tier (pick 30-64 from this class). It's just one of a handful of metrics in the model, but for me it does bring down his grade below these other players who are available at similar spots in rookie drafts. You showed some pretty solid stats to back up your hit rates on Silver Rd 1 vs Gold Rd 2 so I may defer to the expert on this one lol. Curious though if you've used this metric in the past and come to your own conclusions about it
The issue with catch%/adot stuff is Texas had awful qb play with ewers x.com/joshnorris/status/1783526826213589140?s=46&t=F2CAq8lnyxFxtOXcAHt0Xw. So Mitchell had a lot of off target throws (check the tweet this is quoting). Also think his 15.5 adot was more of his role in the offense than his actual skillset, harmon charted him as great on slants/comebacks/etc x.com/recepperception/status/1784019423747289549?s=46&t=F2CAq8lnyxFxtOXcAHt0Xw. Could see him be more well rounded, less of a deep threat, and bettet qb play
@@RonStewart_ Very interesting - appreciate the qual explanation on this. I'll likely revisit the adot catch % stat and evaluate an adjustment for on-target throws as well (though this is presumably also affected by ADOT so might not be so straightforward). The reception perception analysis is particularly insightful - it'll be interesting to see how Indy deploys him considering their current WR room
I took Roman as my first WR at the 2.10. WRs went flying off the board early, so I zigged when everybody else zagged and grabbed Caleb Williams at 1.09 and Trey Benson at 2.01. Also grabbed Javon Baker with the 3.10. Here's hoping he's the Sleeper everyone is projecting him to be!
I'd throw Javon Baker and Polk back to back. Baker probably has a higher ceiling and talent path to WR1 value. Polk is more of a reliable WR2 for life styled guy.
Thing about Ricky Pearsall is his reception perception is outstanding. The other guys in his comp list weren’t guys who can eat against man and zone the way pearsall did. Is that part of the reason you have him as an early - mid second?
Ron, where you ranking Odunze overall? I too can see him being the guy in there on 2-wide sets over Allen since Keenan excels in the slot and is older. Just risky business with Allen and Moore in the WR room with him, but def wouldn't wanna miss out on him.

I took over an orphan dynasty team where my only assets were Kyler, Dell, Jacobi Meyers, Njoku and maybe throw in Mingo. I had the 1.02, 2.02, 2.09, 3.02, and 4.02. Hey Ron, we started a keeper league last year and I'm not sure who I should keep. Amon Ra for my 1st round pick (considering him if I have a late draft position), Rice for my 10th pick, Kincaid for my 8th pick, or Swift for my 6th pick. Any suggestions for me? Thanks and love the vids!
