Thank you for making these videos. I've binged watched your series to this point today and every single video is to the point, answers your question, and shows the end result. Well done. I plan to finish your series this weekend.
Recently bought a 4040 from foxalien....was thinking about upgrading machine to a larger work surface, then came across this video. Can stay with my "desktop" and be able to carve by tiling!! Awesome, thanks for the insight!
That’s a very cool idea bro I’m new on this trade I like. And I try to learn from everyone who shows videos like yours. Thank you for your very good work
Thanks for subscribing and welcome to the club. The fastest way is to get in there and start making mistakes. I’m trying to share videos on how to avoid them buuuuut it’s still part of the process lol.
Great idea! I'lll have to figure that out because I did end up cutting the bottom strip to size and that removed any nails holes but the top side did have nails holes to cover up. If I center it just right I might be able to trim both the top and bottom sides and remove all nail marks!
i keep getting a line through the middle when i remove the last tile before toolpath. the toolpath wants to cut through the center of the project to make halves,
Hey Mike, it’s tough to say. There could have been multiple factors or a simple fix. I hope you were able to get it figured out. If you’re not already in cnc FB Groups, I’d recommend joining so you can get help from the cnc community.
You are the FUCKIN' Man Bro!!! I've been trying to find out how to do this on UA-cam (With a decent explanation explaining how) using Carbide Create for a while now! You simplified to a "T"...Thank You...I've saved video and Liked/Subbed.
Hey got a couple questions on the emblem in vcarve. Are you doing each piece individually compared at once for the look cuase i did all at once and not what i expected. Will this change the look
Hey man, I did the emblem with multiple toolpaths.I would not use a vcarve only on this design. - text is vcarve - snake is advanced vcarve - any circles could be done with vcarve or pocket, depends on your preference. - stripes: I always use advanced vcarve And so yes you’ll get different looks between text and image but that’s okay. You could also go advanced vcarve on the text if you wanted everything to be carved to the same max depth and Match the emblem (snake)
Can you tell me how much time/effort you spend on clean up after cutting your design on the CNC? I noticed that with the VCarve, my lines are sharp, but the interior (where the router cuts) is mostly fuzzy, especially with thinner, smaller areas. I have to clean it up with sandpaper and a brush. End mill cuts are fine. I only experience the fuzziness with a v-bit. I’m wondering if this is normal or if I’m doing something wrong.
i don't spend too much time, I use a toothbrush to clear out most fuzz or just rub them away. Once I start seeing fuzzies that I cannot get ride of, i will replace the vbit. Try a new one and see how that goes.. You also may need to speed up the router rpms slightly. But most of the time I think its just time to replace the vbit.

Hey Russell, thank you very much for the feedback!
I like to get you guys the info as fast as possible so you can get carving as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for this vid. A year later, and still one of the best on this topic. Thanks again!!!
Thank you Kuz, I appreciate it very much!
9:40 that gap is actually engineered into tape measures. Hold it tight. Should be accurate
Thank you for the heads up! I was on the fence whether or not it was accounted for!

Awesome to hear it helped, good luck with the tiling!
This was the tiling video I said I was using to tile my dad's flag on Facebook.
Yeah this is my best and most concise one yet.
Can’t wait to see it man!
Thank you for explaining the tiling process. This is something I have be wanting to learn for my CNC.
Glad it can get you started in Tiling. Thank you for checking out the video!

Thank you Pedro I appreciate your comment!
Great video. Will need to try that on my Shapeoko!!
Once you do it once or twice it’s not as hard as you thought. I’m getting more confident each time!
Thanks for checking it out!
Very informative video. Still trying to wrap my head around the process. I think it will make more sense after I try it for the first time.
Oh for sure! I tried to break it down so that you can follow it step by step or in sections. Just take it slow the first time.
Just got another sub man. Great video, just bought my shapeoko pro xxl so trying to learn all I can!

Very good video. I knew our machines could do this but have never seen it done.
Thanks for checking it out!
GREAT VIDEO.
Thank you!
At 1:08 where you indicate it's best to copy; how do you copy?
Got it..wasn't highlighting the entire image. Thanks much
Yes thank you for this video
No problem! Thanks for checking it out!
Good tutorial
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
have you ever done tiling with an added 3d image in the flag? and great video and details.. Keep up great work
Thank you Tony!
I have not yet. I would think it’s very similar but unfortunately I don’t have experience with 3D flags yet!
Good video. Another tip would be to cut your stock at 21 inches so you can Brad nail it and not have to clean up and can just trim .5 off both sides.

@@aetimberpine I did advanced vcarve 1/8 uncut and a 60 vbit well let me try setting max cut depth shallow depth
@@northwestgaming4049 I would do a max depth of 0.03” or 0.04”.
