I'm new to Carbide Create. I've been using Easel for about 6 months now. Your tutorials on Carbide help me with my craft and make me feel more confident in the software.
LoL at your shirt. Brought back a ton of memories. Heard that one often on the 1MC by guys really flustered when "passing the word" along with the ocassional "do not "ratate and rodiate" :) And as usual, nice video!
Hey Chris, just want to say thanks for another great video lesson 👍. My wife and I have recently just bought an xxl, and it's out first cnc. We are currently getting ready to revamp our pool table rails. Where can I get one of those dust boosts at man?
Hey Chris looking to get the precision collet kit I have the ER11 nut and collet for 1/4. 1/8. 1/16. What do you sujet ? Newbie here by the way very easy and nicely done to under all of this and the 3D
Question. With carbide create. Next to your import button where do I get that favorites icon. Is that cause your using a Mac instead of work windows? I am using windows.
Honestly I hate how you have to jump through hoops to make the program do what you want with carbide. The shapeoko is an amazing machine but as soon as I can I will probably switch to vectric. Chris you are the man at fooling carbide into doing what you want it to
To be honest with you, I’ve been using Carveco Maker + more and more. I do enjoy the challenge of manipulating CC to do things people don’t think it can do, but it does get old after a while. Check out Carveco Maker and Maker +. I’ll be doing videos on that when I get a little more comfortable.
Have not used Carveco Maker as Chris mentioned in his reply to you, but this along with the exceptionally wonky Tool Database is another reason I am so glad I invested in Vectric Aspire many years ago.
I hear you. I suppose for the hobby guys Carbide Create is a viable option but I had to jump in with both feet because I'm much more into full 3D work. I wanted to buy Aspire but the developers said it was still 8 months out till release and I couldn't wait that long so I ended up with Artcam and when Autodesk bought then killed Artcam I jumped on the huge discount for the new full version Artcam replacement, Carveco. Aspire is a great program, sort of a slimmed down version of Artcam/Carveco which makes sense since the developers were former Artcam writers and Aspire still has a very attractive price for a full 3D program.
Thank you again for a very informative video on Texture Toolpaths. I saw a video on setting Z height on the waste board surface and then putting in a negative number on stock thickness. This seems like an excellent idea, however I don't think carbide create will accept a negative number. Is there a workaround on this? It would sure save my waste board. Thank You again
Don't need a negative number. In Carbide Create, set your toolpath zero to bottom, and then your stock thickness. (digital calipers are a must). Z height zero is then set to your wasteboard.
For all you spindle users..... Check out PreciseBits for collets and collet nuts that can reduce runout over the Chinese collets including with your spindle. Plus all kinds of spindle related items that are generally not available on websites tailoring to just selling bits to inexperienced cnc users. They have helped me get the best out of my most expensive upgrade.
I’ve had great experiences with Precise Bits, Amana, and Bits & Bits. I can’t say one is necessarily any better than the other, but I do like the collars that come on the Precise Bits. I also like that they give you more data on the bits themselves. Seems like there’s more quality checks in place.
great video you explain things so well I recently did a stacked text sign but wanted to add texture to the bottom layer I tried one didn't turn out so well so I did it without the texture any suggestions?
I haven’t tried one of those. I’d probably cut everything normal like in my stacked text tutorial, then come back through and do the texture. Just adjust the start depth.
Don’t worry, I’ll keep making videos on CC, I’m just running out of stuff I can do with it. I never would have imagined some of the projects I could do before getting Carveco.
I’ve been following along with the tutorials Leighton on the Carveco UA-cam channel does. There’s a lot to learn, but it seems to be pretty logical. Hopefully I’ll be confident enough to do some of my own tutorials soon enough.

Glad to hear it. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to make this. It has been very helpful.

I swear they said that once a day when we were in the yards. The bottom says “Belay my last.”
Thanks!
Great video. Love those new bits you have with collars. Thanks Chris.
Really great video Chris. Thank you
Thanks
Thank you Chris. As I have been watching your videos I'm convinced you're a genius ..Tim
Thanks for watching!
Great video. I am a beginner and the video is fast. It will be better when I get through my course and am ready to do more advanced techniques.
Jason, really great video - you get right to the point. Love it.
Great video. Answered several questions I have had.
I really enjoy your videos, Chris! Great job.
Thanks so much
Nice video Chris. Love the shirt too!
Thanks!
Great tutorial, Chris. I'm going to have to try this out. Thanks
Brilliant videos, very many thanks. Answering so many questions!
Thank you!
I really like your video, thanks for the great information
Great video as usual, great detail explaining the choices
Great tutorial. Thanks much.
Thank you

Awesome Job as always!!!
Thanks man. I’ve been meaning to mess with that feature.
Cool video Chris!
Thank you
Thank you for the info.
Thanks, big help!
Thank you
Great videos!!
just subscribed I am new to CNC what bit are you using to get the fine details on your flags they are awesome
Thanks. Generally a 60 degree v bit.
Hey Chris, just want to say thanks for another great video lesson 👍. My wife and I have recently just bought an xxl, and it's out first cnc. We are currently getting ready to revamp our pool table rails. Where can I get one of those dust boosts at man?
Thanks. It’s a PwnCNC.

Newbie here by the way very easy and nicely done to under all of this and the 3D
I’m not sure if they have a 1/16” collet. I’ll have to look into it. I generally just use 1/4” bits.
@@ChrisPowellFSD no problem il take the and 1/4 and 1/8 also probably the 6 mm
I LIKE YOUR VIDS THANKS!
Thanks. I appreciate it!
Great Video, Have you found a way to use Texture with Advanced vCarve? I'm looking for a way to create Raised text but the pocket be textured.
Thanks. Honestly, I dumped CC a while ago in favor of Carveco. It’s too hard to keep up with the constant changes.
Thanks very much.
Thank you

Do you know if the precise bits with dept setting rings can be used with the carbide create router?
Yes they will work with any router.

Hi there is the depth rings work with a spindle?
Yea they will work with anything.
"Lets check this simulation out, it's a little hard to "C" lol
Thanks for the Video!
Haha, thanks!
OK, so tell me - money not withstanding, who do you think makes the best bits and end mills??

Chris, please don't jump the carbide create ship! I get so much out of your videos.
Don’t worry, I’ll keep making videos on CC, I’m just running out of stuff I can do with it. I never would have imagined some of the projects I could do before getting Carveco.
@@ChrisPowellFSD well, thanks to you, I bought Carveco maker last night. It's half off. I could do $90 for the year. Seems cheap enough to learn it

i have noticed your beard is getting long!
