- In South Africa, a convoy of Interpol agents led by Lin transports a prisoner, Keith. At a checkpoint, they are ambushed. Most of the agents are killed, but Lynn escapes with Keith.
Travis Conrad a hitman, goes fishing with his father-in-law Frank .They scatter the ashes in the sea, marking the one-year anniversary of their death in their memory. After Frank falls asleep, Travis goes to a bar to get cocaine. He follows him and attacks two thugs who tell him that Jim wants to see him. Jim offers Travis $2 million a day to clean up the assassination attempt on Keith and Lynn. Although he initially refuses, claiming that he is retired, money convinces him. He travels to Hong Kong and meets Lin's son, from whom he steals his cell phone and determines Lin's location. He meets her at the airport and seduces her. The next morning, he gets Keith's location from his phone but decides not to kill him; He realizes he is an agent and kills him.
Travis' company, Red Mountain, uses an experimental method to bring him back to life. Once he tells them Keith's location, Jim, his friend and former fellow Marine, informs him that they only revived him to get the location and that the Doctor plans to kill him upon his return. Travis gets a scalpel and cuts his restraints; When the Doctor returns he kills a guard and learns from him that he has 24 hours to live with a timer on his wrist. He escapes with her as a hostage and chases after Lin, telling her he won't regret not killing her.
Keith testifies against Red Mountain, revealing that they experimented on over 70 civilians to develop a resurrection method and forced him to dispose of the corpses. Right after he testifies, Jim snipes several guards from a clock tower and attacks the Red Mountain building. Lynn and Keith escape when Travis arrives to help, knowing that Red Mountain has betrayed him. During the chase, Keith is killed, but he manages to get the camera's memory card before they leave. Travis entrusts the card to Lynn, but Jim calls to tell them they took his son in exchange for the card. Travis decides to help her recover and collects guns and explosives from a safe room.
They travel to the village where the Red Mountain civilians live and enlist their help in taking revenge. Travis knows prisoner transport protocol; They cornered the convoy and ambushed it and brought the boy back. Travis tells Lynn to testify to the authorities and decides to live his last half hour to delay his pursuit of Red Mountain. He forces a surviving Red Mountain agent to take him to the base claiming he is a prisoner; When he arrives he kills several guards and drives the car into the building. He detonates the car and storms the office where Jim and Red Mountain leader Wetzler are hiding. After killing all the agents in the room, Wetzler tries to convince Travis to kill Jim, who knows that Wetzler ordered his wife and son killed in an attempt to get him to leave the company. Although angry, Travis feels remorse for all the killing he has done and lets Jim live. As the police arrive, Jim approaches Wetzler to kill him. Although they warn him not to shoot, he shoots Wetzler and kills himself.
Travis dies and his family has a vision on a beach. She beckons for her son, but he runs away. Travis begins hearing the Doctor's voice and wakes up in the lab where he was first resurrected.
