Love seeing non metal people get in to Spiritbox. If you want a song with some painful lyrics, watch the video for Constance or Blessed Be. Two songs I think you’ll love.
I have seen them live in Pittsburgh. The best part is... they sound just as good live as recorded. One of the best concerts I've been to in this genre. Constance still makes me cry.
Spiritbox rules. They’re a husband/wife team, Courtney being the vocalist/lyricist, and her husband Mike playing guitar/writing/composing. They’ve previously played in a band called Iwrestledabearonce, but both have other bands they were in previous to that too. Courtney was in a band with her brother called Unicron, and Mike played in Fall In Archaea, as well as a pop punk band called Kickflip. They’re personal friends of mine, so I always watch people reacting to their stuff.
I don’t normally go for the pop metal stuff, but this song is absolutely incredible. And I’m with you, there’s something so deep and monumental sounding to the sound of it
You were right on with super saiyan, the words when she starts screaming there are: "I have the power of a dying sun, I climb the alter and claim my place as god"
If you like this kind of screaming and instrumentals I'd recommend Architects. They're one of the progenitors of metalcore and Spiritbox took a fair amount of inspiration from them. Sam Carter has a really distinct screaming style that's actually really legible, and Tom Searle was one of the best songwriters before his untimely death in 2016. Lost Forever//Lost Together and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us are their best albums by far. Naysayer, Broken Cross, and Gravedigger off LF//LT; Gone With The Wind, and A Match Made In Heaven off AOGHAU are the songs you'd most likely enjoy. Everyone will also suggest Doomsday but I feel like people need to listen to at least a couple of the others first.
At the risk of sounding somehow racist or, whatever, I LOVE seeing Black people get into metal music. Where at a point in society now where the historically Black dominated music genre of rap has come mainstream and branched out to peoples of all race and became so diverse. I would love to see that happen more with metal.
Haven't listened to this genre of music since I used to with my oldest daughter in her late teens/early 20s.(she's now 32) I really enjoyed this song and her voice is beautiful, even while she's screaming.
May I recommend Jinjer "Pisces?" I first got into Jinjer then found Spiritbox. Both are female fronted, and Tati is a BEAST, both in vocals and false folds ("screaming"). Pisces one take is an excellent intro into Jinjer! You'll get a lot of views too. This video content is highly sought by uberfans like me. DONT WATCH AHEAD. Go in blind. I promise you, it's worth it.
Please try this one: "Hotel California" by The Eagles Live in 1998. You really have to listen to the hidden meaning [fame, drug abuse, etc] in the lyrics though! It's epic.
Just recently discovered you and am loving your reaction videos! Keep it up man! Would also love to see a reaction to Kygo - Freeze if you ever have the opportunity.
Loved your reaction and breakdown. Beautifully done. Please, can you react to Blessed Be & Constance by Spiritbox? These 2 songs are so beautifully emotionally haunting. I would love to see and hear your reactions to those two songs as well🖤

Uuugghh both of those...cannot listen without getting emotional.
Definitely one of the best vocalists/bands today

Yep, Courtney is a goddess and a monster all wrapped up in one pretty package.
Shoutout Jared, thanks for suggesting this one for sure

Nothin better than melancholy metal

Amazing reaction and welcome to the family bud. LOVE spiritbox so freaking much.
I'm not into heavy metal/metalcore all that much, but i absolutely love Spiritbox. Amazing talent vocally and all around sound!!! 🤘
Secret Garden and Sun Killer are amazing as well!
The ending of this song gave me goosebumps!
You will love blessed be then, deff Give it a listen
Every time I watch this one take the last 30 seconds make me get choked up
Loved your reaction videos. Glad to see you get into metal. If you want to, you should try For Today - Fight the Silence.
i missed them live at a festival as I was on another stage but from what i have seen and heard they are brilliant live!
Nice!!! Keep uploading!!!
Spiritbox and Asking Alexandria started my metal spiral, enjoy the ride

Should react to her preforming all 3 mara effect songs in this similar manner.
Ice Nine Kills - Farewell II Flesh
Try the song Demolisher by Slaughter To Prevail or for something not as heavy any of As I Lay Dying.
Nice try
Yes pleeeeeeeeease

You are absolutely spot on.
Lil Dicky - Save Dat Money 🔥🔥🔥
Please try this one:
"Hotel California"
by The Eagles
Live in 1998.
You really have to listen to the hidden meaning [fame, drug abuse, etc] in the lyrics though! It's epic.
Listen to the album Garbage 2.0 for the same style 😉
You gotta check out a band called Coheed and Cambria.
Specifically maybe this video. Live acoustic version of a song that is totally different in the album. ua-cam.com/video/MCtqN1vLc0k/v-deo.html
Just recently discovered you and am loving your reaction videos! Keep it up man! Would also love to see a reaction to Kygo - Freeze if you ever have the opportunity.
new to the channel. Check out Jinjer, In this Moment
Wanna get confuse ? Sleep Token - Alkaline
Please listen to spiritbox - constance
Audio is off. Feel like it is played back at around 95%?
I hear it too. I notice it occasionally in reaction videos on YT. Seems like the tone is just slightly lower and/or slower than the original audio.
Probably to avoid copyright strikes, but it absolutely sounds off. Couldn’t get through it.
Hip hop stunted your growth in music. Classic rock stunted my growth but I still hate hip hop.
Todays rap IS a bunch of noise tbh 😂😂
Stop pausing so much 😩😩😩
Do you think you pause enough, or what?
Hope they blow up. Landscape is ripe. Happy you liked it.
Dance Gavin Dance - Inspire The Liars
Highly recommend

I'd recommend the title track Eternal Blue off of this album. It's absolutely beautiful and it's one of my favorites by them.
The title track broke me when I first heard it. God damn is it ever perfect.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So you prefer Metalcore and as said before Architects will be in your interest they are great
Try some Iron Maiden or Tool
You should listen to spiritbox - sunkiller :)
JINJER is next
This is a great song!
Check out Peter Buka. He's the piano Harry Mack.
