The reason why most of these “busts” go so high, is because owners, GM’s, and coaches will override or flat out ignore the scouts recommended picks for their own bias or whoever their heart gets set on. Also, some franchises will allow fan opinion to influence their pick too.

Picking up Murray to play with Jokic was the absolute perfect pick for Denver man. And the moves since then have been prefect. Just beautiful roster construction for that run.
Kris Dunn looks like he could become one of the most surprising career revivals of all time honestly. From a virtually a whole season out of the NBA and in the G-League to looking borderline elite in a short stint with Utah and following it up just this week in preseason

masai loves a tall, lanky, athletic african and it worked out. pascal didn't start playing basketball until he was 16 in cameroon. he left home young and took basketball seriously since his dad was a huge fan and it was his dream to see him make it. sadly, he died so pascal worked hard to make it to the nba. the raptors development team is one of the best. pascal, van vleet, barnes, og, poetl, etc. all became starting players/all stars after dominating/winning in the g-league.

This is such a forgettable draft. There are a few all-stars but no superstar and every player, even a successful one is disappointing in some way. Like Simmons never developing an outside shot, Brown never developing a handle and a killer instinct, Ingran never fully healthy for long, Siakam kind of disappearing.
