How cute are those chicks! I've never seen them before. And you are right, I should check this place out for woodland/landscape - I enjoyed seeing you take some tree shots! Great texture on those gums too! Hope you're well mate, thanks for great video!
I didn’t realise you had coots in Australia. We have them over here, I was laughing out loud when you were calling the chicks cute. I think they’re the scruffiest chicks of any species. Glad you found the parrots you wanted. I really like the one at 9:36 - even without the reach. Lovely and minimal. I’ve got a couple of species that I’m on a mission to find next year.
Yeah, coots look the same I think as the eurasian version😀. The chicks might be scruffy but still cute😝😝. Hopefully I’ll be able to capture those parrots again from much closer one day. What species are you after mate?
@@peterviragphoto Mainly the bearded tit. They’re fairly common across Central Asia but we only have about 600 pairs in the UK. I’ve been trying to get a photo for years. I’m determined it will happen in 2022.
Great video mate! That in-flight cockatoo shot at 3:26 was amazing, as well as the one at 6:22! Love that beauty of a tree at 4:44. And that beautiful baby at 8:26 was just too cute! Wonderful location mate, looks very similar to the interior of Florida. So many great shots in this video, thanks for the adventure!
Fantastic Video, 02:23 I love it, "who is watching who!!! 03:23 brilliant action capture 0539 Beautifully lite and composed 05:58 brilliant capture, well done. 06:61, fantastic action image, thank you 06:63 wonderful action capture, love the coot chicks. fantastic video, thanks Peter
Absolutely LOVE it!! I shot a picture of an oak here one time with a 300 prime much like that - I had quite a discussion going on Facebook with it - that was years ago. I have to say that I have never seen Coot chicks - that was AWESOME, and a snake head........ and that amazing place to shoot. More reach - that is one thing we all wish we had when shooting wildlife LOL - those parrots were awesome too. You have such amazing wildlife there. We are desert and so most things tend to be brownish. Thank you, thank you for sharing your amazing adventure!!!! 🙏🤗💖
Thanks heaps John, glad you enjoyed! We sure do have some colourful birds here. Hopefully I’ll be able to capture those parrots from much closer one day, their plumage is amazing. Have a great weekend bud😊
What’s been the most elusive bird species for you to photograph? Let me know! Also don’t forget to subscribe. Cheers😉👍📸🦅🦉🦆 P.s. how cute were those coot chicks?😃
All happening that day Peter. Wow! How cute were those little hens. Amazing array of birds. That storm certainly knocked those trees about. Great video mate thanks for sharing the adventure out 👍🙏
A really enjoyable little excursion Peter thanks for taking us along. Strange isn't it no matter the focal length of your lens you always want more 😂😂😂 Great video 🙏
Pete - I love how passionate you are about your subjects. Gotta admit, those little Coot chicks were bloody cute, and your images - as always - are stunning! Lovely work, mate. 😄👍
Fantastic video, very relaxed. I don't actually think I've seen a black swan here in the UK before! Those chicks in the water were stunning colours and very cute!. So many great shots, must take a lot of patience to spot and photograph them.
Awesome pics and video. As common as coots are I have never seen a single chick in my life. Loved that black swan and its funny how all those "common" shorebirds are so different in your neck of the woods.
Nice video Peter. I love bird photography, it's one of my favourite things to do. Azure Kingfishers are my nemesis at the moment, not because there aren't any but because I never seem to be able to get a clear shot. Anyway mate keep up the good work. All the best, Brian.
Thanks heaps Brian. Azure kingfishers are an amazing species😍 I have never captured one. Hope you’ll get lucky soon and grab an impressive image or two! Have a great weekend😀
Omg - I jumped out my skin with the lightning effect 😨😨😨. That looked like a big storm mate 😨😨😨 We had two Black Swans fly in here in the Spring. It caused quite a big stir locally not only in the Swan population!! Cygnets!! 🎉🎉🎉Black and grey rather than white and grey!! 😀 Some wonderful photos there - especially the in flight captures. Loved that tiny Cisticola!! Coot chicks are wonderful. Fantastic photos. They look exactly like ours. But all of ours were predated as soon as they hatched!! 🤦🏻♂️ The red rumped parrots are incredible. Well done mate - great captures there!! All in all a brilliant film - following you around. It’s just great mate Thanks for a great mornings viewing 👍👍👍👍
I used to be huge on bird photography but I was spending too much time on it without making money. I had the Canon 100-400 Mark 1 and it was my most used lens. Then I got the Mark 2 and wasn't as happy with it. I wound up selling it and getting into drone photography. If I am ever able, I'd be interested in the one of the Sigma 150-600s and get back into birds. Meanwhile, I am appreciating your video and your knowledge of birds!
Love that type of content 👍. Do you think 400mm enough for birding on a full frame body? Although i have the same lense and its a v versatile performer.
Always guaranteed some stunning images on your videos Peter and this didn't dissapoint, that storm effect at the beginning was attention grabbing. Great vid
Love how you caught the birds in flight. Our swans are not like yours, ours are pure white in North Wales though in Dawlish in England there are some black swans but I thinks it's rare. Haha and I loved the lightening storm edit 🙂👍👐
Thanks for video! I just bought my first more expensive lens (which is Canon EF 100-400 mk1) actually its my 1st lens besides kit lens 18-55mm ( im beginner ) , hope its gonna work well like mk2
Great vlog Peter, love the shots of the Snakebird and Cockatoo in flight, not that any of the other shots weren't great. If the Coots are the same as UK ones then they only ever raise one chick to adulthood (unless there is an abundance of food) unlike ducks they will bully and harass the weaker chicks to death - cruel parents.
I don’t think so. I’ve seen some unscientific claims, but even if it’s lower than 400mm, I’d say it would be more like 395mm rather than 320…that would be absurd. Cheers
Oh, and the Teal at the end and especially the rabbit at the start - just gorgeous.
Haha thanks Pete! Wasn’t gonna rabbit hunt ( for a better pic😝) , gotta stay in one place for those for a long time😬😀

I skipped through the video looking for the canon 100-400mm which is a black lens, but I never saw it.
Maybe because it’s the EF 100-400 IS II🙄
Without a good zoom i guess you can't do much with bird photography
