There's no metaphysical difference between 'white' and 'black' souls. The distinction is a legal one and the soul trap spell was specifically designed with that in mind by the mages who created it.
@@TheDieselMK3 Then why do they require entirely different soul gems? In fact, Black Soul Gems didn't even exist until Mannimarco (or maybe the Ideal Masters) came along. There would have been literally no way to house a humanoid soul until then with the possible exception of the Amulet of Kings.
Mannimarco was a contemporary of Galerion who was the one that designed the current soul trap spell. The black soul gems were created to bypass the restrictions on Galerion’s spell that prevented the capture of black souls. As for why people didn’t use a different spell without such restrictions? Galerion’s spell is simply so much more effective than what anyone else has been able to come up with that others consider the extra hoops to jump through worth it.

12:18 turn undead+ enchants that reduce the cost of restoration magic to 0 is so much faster than the wind wall past level 80, its not even in the same ballpark. it could take 10+ minutes to get a level at the wall, but like 2 minutes to gain a level in a crypt. spam casting it as fast as possible will crash your game after some time though. the radiant light effect overlaps infinitely and has a long duration.

26:52 Actually, if you do my method by using the restoration glitch, give a rando follower a mega damage weapon, and then wear mega defensive heavy armor with a shield, you'll level both heavy armor and blocking instantly if you aggro them (recommended to do it out in the wild away from other NPCs). In my experience, leveling light armor at the same time actually slows the process down since heavy armor and blocking are RIGHT next to each other, and in the time it takes to scroll all the way over to light armor to legendary it, you can get more level ups in heavy armor and block. Plus, leveling light armor at the same time makes leveling heavy armor inconsistent. I'd take damage and level heavy, but then my light didn't level, and when I leveled light, my heavy didn't level, so I bet it's probably a percent chance to level based on how much of each type of armor you're wearing, or dependant on where the enemy hits you. I'd also recomend giving a mega dagger to the rando enemy you don't care about, so they can attack the fastest. THIS is the fastest method of leveling that I've personally discovered in Skyrim using glitches. Legendary Difficulty has been the standard for me for years now. I cannot imagine playing on anything lessor. In fact it has come to a point where I really need something beyond Legendary Difficulty. I wish Bethesda would (they them selves not modders or mods) release a new DLC for 2025 with a wayyyy more harder difficulty then Legendary.
its kinda interesting that when you kill anise for the house. there is a hagraven in the game that techinically counts as her sister. so she is the one who sends the thugs lol. also the fastest way unfornately to grind restoration to one hundred is getting enchanting to 100 and then spamming the turn undead spells. it really goes go fast. especially when you reach level 50 spells. took like a half hour irl time tbh lol. but you know enchanting to 100. which, i usuallyy collect about 150 soul gems and random clothing items and try to just enchant as many things with sneak as possible, also useful to just use gold rings from kolskegger mine and if you have money. the second orc black smith in the castle of markkarth, not the female orc the male who always stays inside. if you save load kill him. he usually has about 3-7 silver ingots and can be used to get like a 100 silver ingots. if you also have prowlers profit from using the A button exploit by picking up two to three of them. it helps so much
@@OSKGaming123 im not sure if i gave good advice. i basically was like yeah collect all 24 stones of barenziah then level enchanting to 100. then you know you can level restoration in 30 mins or so. and smithing. but you know i was trying. great video super entertaining loved it
@@OSKGaming123 THANK YOU! 😭 I beat the first WarioWare 100% on Gameboy Advance, but I could not place the melody for the life of me. I was thinking Malo Mart from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess but it did not match. I was about to start asking everyone I knew to help track it down.
36:35 bone breaker does nothing to 90% of the enemy types in the game, because the devs forgot to add armor rating to almost everything. dragons don't have armor rating. guess what, the sword perks that adds a chance to crit? also worthless. crits do 1.5 times base damage of a weapon. not the damage on the card, not the damage after sharpening, 1.5 times the damage of the weapon at skill level 1. they reduce your damage. they only thing that they do is stagger the enemy, which you can do infinitely with soup.
well, as someone quite familiar with this strategy, having completed Skyrim on Master before there was Legendary with it, i have to say that DPS wise - two-handed sword is top tier, with gloves, amulet, and a ring all enchanted for two-handed damage, and a 147%+ damage to two-handed potion (i dunno how you got 153%), combined all of that bumps a daedric greatsword (there was no dragonbone back then) to ~15000 damage per light attack, no Berserker Rage, no Elemental Fury, no poison, needless to say Alduin, the World Eater, Firstborn of Akatosh, the God of Time, dropped in 3 hits, while the strongest of his siblings got packed in 2 TL;DR: i can do better
Great video and very well done... but it reminds me why I _hate_ meta gaming, lol. Metas take all the fun out of things, and it seems like modern games always have a meta. I am also aware that Elderscrolls games have had a meta since Morrowind. I didn't get into Daggerfall but something tells me it existed then as well. I wish games like this didn't have metas.
Every system ever created has an "optimal" way to operate it. In this instance, i just wanted to see how far it could be taken without mindlessly exploiting. Future runs will have heavy limitations
@@OSKGaming123 Thanks for the reply; I must reiterate, I loved the video, your commentary and your playthrough. You're right there is always an optimal way, but what makes it boring and saps the fun is there always seems to be only one optimal way. Sure, that's the nature of "optimal," but it really takes the fun out of things, when there could be many different ways to achieve the same end result. It's difficult for me to articulate clearly why. But as an example, I love Morrowind, but it's hard for me to play it without playing it a certain way as is the meta, because I know the meta is the best way to be successful without the added overly challenging theme due to poor choices in character building, when there should be many ways to enjoy it. Another example is Oblivion's level progression system. It becomes increasingly stale, while also increasingly difficult if you level too quickly, because utilizing your major skills as your primary means of combat and spellcasting is not necessarily the meta. Controlling your leveling by having a manual major skill like alchemy is. It just saps the fun. I remember I played Oblivion the way one intuitively would, without realizing the metas, and quickly realized after fast leveling that all the monsters in dungeons were the same. They were all liches. I hope this makes sense.

Yeah, I just started a legendary survival One Life Run, with the added bonus that I'm playing specifically as a necromancer. No armor, no weapons, no elemental damage spells, no non-undead summons. Gonna be FUN!
Wow,I did a legendary run before the anniversary edition and did similar stuff, but damn, I never perfected everything so cleanly.
Enjoyed the full 49:22 seconds of it!
Thanks
I have 1 question tho.
How did you survive the jump from the tutorial? Because you take fire damage and that killed me so often. I only survived because I got lucky 1 time
Must've taken one tick or so from the fire on the ground. I did die there in the test run. Sometimes you get lucky
Most Aura in a Skyrim video ever
just got your channel recommended, cool vid pal!
also, zero spell damage.
Thanks!
I found powerleving alteration the easiest with waterbreathing in Rifton...
Once master spells are unlocked iirc there were faster methods though.
Hey just wanna say, if you wanna easy exploit just go sneak attack some praying gray beards (yeah it’s a bit later then your sneak training in whiterun) they are essential npcs, so they won’t die. You can train any attack skill on them, and train restoration by healing them. They will just go back to praying when they get high enough health. Although been a year or two since I’ve done it but it shouldn’t be that wack
If i remember correctly theres a guaranteed spawn for telekinesis in the red water den next to a body
That Build was Elite! Good Job, still looking like a disabled student with that goofy backback tho...
20:56 Aww. He's so happy!
btw there is a mod called necromage fix that gives u back the bonuses if u have the unoffcial patch installed.
been here since you were making naraka guides when the game was still new, love the skyrim content!
Damn you been here a long time, thanks dude!
NGL THIS IS HILARIOUS
Genuinely a good vid, good shit.
Genuinely the best compliment coming from you bud
wtf hella underrated channel blessed my front page!
Bless 🙏
"...drug dealer, she's supposed to be about her wits for this kind of thing."
Oh buddy, they ain't smoking them mammoth tusks. She's in a... different kind of illicit business.
Maybe they just caught her "sleeping" 🥁
Great video man
Love your build. Now i wanna play some skyrim
Using Necromage to make you immune to magic... might as well have used the resto-loop at that point.
I always found the college pretty poor at fighting dragons. Its only happened post storyline, so no savos or mirabelle, but ive only ever had arniel gane come out and start using his fists??
If you give a beggar a gold piece it elevates your speech enough to persuade the bard so you don’t have to throw hands for 20 minutes and risk hitting a civilian.
TFW the ebony warrior wanted to enter sovengard but you had a sole gem ready

🗿
It's amazing that you're dealing zero spell damage.
It is lore accurate that shouts cannot be absorbed by magic absorption. Shouts are simply not magic. They are what is called tonal manipulation which is more or less the power of remodeling reality
Nice job. I'd like to see a 100%, using only items that are looted.
Just curious, why didnt you use a falmer helmet and circlet combo when enchanting?
Ironically, I found it a bit TOO exploity for this run
"a thousand different mods"
the 100 thousand mods for special edition:
the 72 thousand mods for the regular edition:
the unknowable amount of mods on loverslab:
i think you may be underestimating.
Great video 😎
Legendary Difficulty has been the standard for me for years now. I cannot imagine playing on anything lessor. In fact it has come to a point where I really need something beyond Legendary Difficulty. I wish Bethesda would (they them selves not modders or mods) release a new DLC for 2025 with a wayyyy more harder difficulty then Legendary.
its kinda interesting that when you kill anise for the house. there is a hagraven in the game that techinically counts as her sister. so she is the one who sends the thugs lol. also the fastest way unfornately to grind restoration to one hundred is getting enchanting to 100 and then spamming the turn undead spells. it really goes go fast. especially when you reach level 50 spells. took like a half hour irl time tbh lol. but you know enchanting to 100. which, i usuallyy collect about 150 soul gems and random clothing items and try to just enchant as many things with sneak as possible, also useful to just use gold rings from kolskegger mine and if you have money. the second orc black smith in the castle of markkarth, not the female orc the male who always stays inside. if you save load kill him. he usually has about 3-7 silver ingots and can be used to get like a 100 silver ingots. if you also have prowlers profit from using the A button exploit by picking up two to three of them. it helps so much
Taking notes 📝
@@OSKGaming123 im not sure if i gave good advice. i basically was like yeah collect all 24 stones of barenziah then level enchanting to 100. then you know you can level restoration in 30 mins or so. and smithing. but you know i was trying. great video super entertaining loved it
I am STRUGGLING to pin down the music at 21:20 but I cannot recall the source.
Warioware inc I think
@@OSKGaming123 THANK YOU! 😭 I beat the first WarioWare 100% on Gameboy Advance, but I could not place the melody for the life of me. I was thinking Malo Mart from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess but it did not match. I was about to start asking everyone I knew to help track it down.
Np bud. Merry Christmas
Never played this game
But I like to find little startups
Might try it even though it’s old
Nice dig music at the end. Anyone got a title for that ending song?
I'm afk for the holidays, but I'll try and remember to post it when I'm back.
I haven't played vanilla Skyrim in so long. I forgot about all the exploits lol.
A rather interesting video of exploitations and grandeur strategy. How long did this adventure take to complete?
1 week
36:35 bone breaker does nothing to 90% of the enemy types in the game, because the devs forgot to add armor rating to almost everything. dragons don't have armor rating.
guess what, the sword perks that adds a chance to crit? also worthless. crits do 1.5 times base damage of a weapon. not the damage on the card, not the damage after sharpening, 1.5 times the damage of the weapon at skill level 1. they reduce your damage. they only thing that they do is stagger the enemy, which you can do infinitely with soup.
What song plays after 33:18?
That's the one in the description
@OSKGaming123 thank you man!
You're welcome! I'll try to remember to post a full song list for the next one
Could have gone for the spell breaker shield too.
Power attacking with daggers while duel wielding does Triple damage if you manage to hit the enemy
Get 30x + 3 attacks while power attacking + the damage of the weapon =death
38:50 the Vsauce music
"arent dragons cold blooded?"
even if they are, they are magic-proficient, it should be no problem for them to cast some fire magic to warm up
Ah so that's why they breathe fire all the time. To keep warm
@OSKGaming123 Yes. And if some village and its inhabitants burn down, it is purely accidental. Dragon just tried to warm them up.
well, as someone quite familiar with this strategy, having completed Skyrim on Master before there was Legendary with it, i have to say that DPS wise - two-handed sword is top tier, with gloves, amulet, and a ring all enchanted for two-handed damage, and a 147%+ damage to two-handed potion (i dunno how you got 153%), combined all of that bumps a daedric greatsword (there was no dragonbone back then) to ~15000 damage per light attack, no Berserker Rage, no Elemental Fury, no poison, needless to say Alduin, the World Eater, Firstborn of Akatosh, the God of Time, dropped in 3 hits, while the strongest of his siblings got packed in 2
TL;DR: i can do better
36:06 best part
I too think Necromage is a feature. It's just someone's opinion that it would be a bug.
just started the vid, but i hope he takes zero spell damagee
Underrated channel
🙏
Damn, Karstaag actually hurt you like 1/5 of ur hp tho. tough dude.
What is the backpack you're wearing? If its a mod, is it available on playstation version?
It's a creation included in the anniversary edition
@OSKGaming123 ok cool, makes me think of remnant
