- In this algo trading video, I have created 5 different expiry day option trading strategies which can be run one strategy per expiry day and shown the results by backtesting it for one year at AlgoTest.
These expiry day option trading strategies are created with 1 lot of option selling (call and put) in the form of short straddle but with good setup and execution to get good returns.

I have tested the strategy on last Friday, yesterday and today. It was extremely rewarding.
Today I traded banknifty where 47200 straddle was sold. Within a few minutes, i generated 1% profit and I closed the strategy.
Banknifty thereafter dropped and it is currently trading at 45000 level. If I had waited, i would have lost the profit which I have booked.
I suggest that tsl should be incorporated in the strategy as you have done in buying strategy.
you are right. We can exit at 1% gain. But the strategy is to eat the premium till 2:15 PM.

Very helpful. Good strategy. I would check it manually. Selling in the morning is good idea. At the end of the day one side atm will be zero.
Yes, but make sure to do your own backtests. And still not confident, try forward testing for a week or two.
@@ApnaTraderCan you make a video on momentum trading suppose you activate the strategy the order will be in triggered at 110 but due to theta the price has gone down what to do then if momentum comes?

Dost, kite requires API access which costs Rs. 2000/- per month, that is why I don't use them with AlgoTest. I use Dhan and Finvasia (not a recommendation, DIY diligence).

Try changing various aspects of the strategy and do backtesting and then forward testing for few days, and see if it produces better results.
Can it not possible to autoactivate based on DTE=0 setting ?
on monday it will activate midcap , tue day : finnifty as so on based on DTE =0 condition

Another question, when SL is hit, will it exit both legs or only the leg where SL is hit? If only one leg is squared off, how will it add this leg again?
No. We sell CE and PE, so stop loss will hit in one, the other will be in profit. If prices of the SAME option (where SL is hit) comes back to its price, we sell again.

No, algotest does not allow that. But you can create your strategy and test yourself.

Sensibull does not allow automatic algo trading. You have to manually take the trades as you have to exit and enter based on pricing.

Indicator based trading can be done in AlgoTest and what broker is used has nothing to do with it. Brokers are used just for the EXECUTION of the trade. Nothing else.

Build it in steak. But that will not execute it. and there are many times selling and buying in a day. So how will you build and execute it without programming or Algo platforms.

Don't do selling on sensex, bse is not capable of handling the options, too much spike in option premium but no such moves in index, your SL is going to hit again or again or may be skip some time, and if your SL limit is skipped you cant handle the pain.
