Because its running on a browser.
Its probably software render meaning the whole game is being rendered by the cpu only
No gpu used.
In minecraft i get 1600fps
But in eaglercraft (which is a real minecraft copy on a browser) i get 40fps...
So..

@@TheDavidJankovicI’d say this is mostly correct but I don’t know enough about software rendering to confirm this. If you have hardware acceleration enabled in your browser (you should, no reason to disable) it will dramatically increase fps in browser games.
