I love this because Franco seems so happy, so natural, so relaxed and so perfectly at home in this "lighter" stage presentation. Bravo Franco, as always...
I remember well watching this on TV in the early 1970s. In was a Nana Mouskouri TV concert and suddenly the divine Corelli appeard and started singing wit her!
Ah, oggi nessuno canta come questi grandi artisti. Franco Corelli ch'era unico!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Corelli looks like the kind of guy who goes by 'If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you are with." He looks like he is nuts about her! Well, I would be too.
"Music to soothe the savage breast, soften rocks and bend the knotted oak." William Congreve A charming performance from two of the greatest talents that God ever gifted this "mortal coil."
He could have gone in this lighter direction, had fun, made money, and not have been so nervous. Even if his voice started to show its age, it would not have under these circumstances. I don’t know why she didn’t just faint, I would have.
Next to that titanic voice, the little peeping organ of Madame Mouscouri sounds rather ridiculous. I wonder what they have paid him or with what they could blackmail him to sing with her :-))))
Corelli was not singing forte. Both were singing modestly and harmonizing with each other magnificently. With or without Corelli, there was not anything ridiculous about Mouskouri's performance. It was eloquent, charming, and gorgeous, as always. Your obnoxious remark slandered both of these beloved artists. And for what purpose?
Hello folks, "A Vuchella" is not an opera aria! It is a Neapolitan parlor song. Corelli shows he knows the difference between powerhouse opera, and lyrical chamber style, AND can vary his style appropriately. YOU show that you do not know the difference! Nana's voice is perfect for this song. It's lyrical, sweet, not dramatic. The two blend very well together. Find something to complain about that actually makes sense.
The great CORELLI sings beautifully without upstaging the young lady.
I love this because Franco seems so happy, so natural, so relaxed and so perfectly at home in this "lighter" stage presentation. Bravo Franco, as always...
Corelli semplicemente meraviglioso, una leggenda , orgoglio nazionale.
Magnificent in every way, Great duet.

She would humbly agree; but Nana was a world class star in her own right.
To the extent that I'd never heard of him 🙂

That was adorable.
In fondo son donne di greca origine.
Excellent!! I remembered my childhood, when I heard this work performed by artists of La Scala
Yes, a curiosity for me, too.... and as you say very beautiful. Thank you!
Amazing, Thank you!!!
geez, if corelli kissed my hand like that I would have fainted......
Christiana Serafin de Ocampo you won't be able to sing? You're out. Lol.
The way he walked to her too. And the look on his face. Incredibly seductive.
Lucky Nana Mouskouri.
Died.
Lovely

Todo much contraste; Corelli's voice Is todo Big and hers top weak and small.

Bellissimo, does anybody has the translation in English or Spanish please? I don't speak that much Italian and i missing some words, thank you.
