I look forward to these videos every week. It was great meeting everyone at Retro Toy-Con a few weeks ago! I spent over $2000 there over the weekend and added some great stuff to my collection and had a great time hanging out.
I work on cars for a living and deal with small plastic pieces that want to break. I've found that gentle warming from a heat gun and a non silicone lubricant spray can help get things apart and back together without breaking. There are always exceptions though.
knowing a good deal when you see it is half the battle. both parties satisfied. looks like a win win situation to me. scratchin' that sweet 80's itch for the viewers. we all win!

What’s really grinds my gears is you never get a close up shot of anything. I wish we could see what parts are missing or what part isn’t broken they are talking about or even like a shot of the item to are looking at, I feel like I’m looking over someone’s shoulder to look at the things they are show casing. Just a gripe, I do love to watch the channel.
I remeber a lady at the grocery store having a Crown Royal bag full of nickels and pennies. She just paid for ramen noodles and Claxton chicken family pack of drum sticks with EBT and paid for a few packs of Black N Milds after dumping a whole full bag on the counter. Good times, gtfo of the line and the bag is a bad omen.
The seller was awesome. Thats how its done. No bargaining no complaints. Didnt set there for 30min with his chin in hand pondering.. Thats a guy who Understood the assignment 😂❤
It's crazy how we collectors and especially all you guys at the store can remember all the parts and accessories that go to all these different figures and vehicles haha.
Never miss an episode. I made a great score today and you guys get all the credit. I found a carded Dino Riders set in great condition. I had no idea what they were before tuning into this show. Thanks Ryan and all the TF crew
I know barely anything about most of the toys the Federation buys but watching Ryan name small parts to most everything that comes into the store never ceases to amaze me. A total Toy Savant 😂 Love the channel 😎
The dedication to this gives me validation that im not alone in my passion for collecting specific toys ,art, skateboard memorabilia, and old monster figures, its awesome and i love it, Ps I always loved the villains more, cobra comander is a prime example 💯
@@PunishManFrank Cool you are the guy....i feel you man i dont collect the toys just love too watch and leanr about there history, specialy like the Gi Joe Stuff we never had it in austria only the street fighter ones ^^
Have you ever considered setting up one of the satellite retail spaces in your complex to sort the toys? I like seeing you guys sitting on the floor sorting toys, but the customers walking around while you're doing it makes me nervous! There are lots of trip hazards. Edit: the seller at the end, not only dropping the toy but also stepping on it proves my point! lol
Great video and large haul of loose GI Joes there. I love seeing the variety of figures people have in their collections. That was certainly a fair offer.
Editing suggestion, consider using shorter clips of toy commercials rather than the full version, I think it would help with pacing! Maybe just 10 seconds of the commercial or so?
Love the video Even though it was a little short😅. I know its a lot of work putting the videos together and I do appreciate it me and the kids watch every week. Looking forward to the podcast coming back and possibly less edited longer form video would be cool. Toy federation for the win
"Wow! Look at that [insert part name here]! It's still there!" Back when I was stupid and traded off my games, I'd go into a game store and watch the guy at the counter helping the guy go through his stack of games in front of me." He pull out the cartridges, look at the game, lock it back into the case (if they were Sega Genesis games) and then move on to disc games. As he went through the disc games, if you were to review their camera footage, you'd see my fingers grip my stack of games tighter and tighter as I looked on watching this guy at the counter snap open the game case, like a savage, remove the disc from its case CHECK THE DISC FOR SCRATCHES and then drop the disc on the case, pressing down with his fingers slide the disc around until it snapped in place. And I'm thinking: Didn't you just question the guy trading his games honesty by looking for scratches, and then you did that!?! So, when I got up to the counter when it was my turn, the guy always looked at me like a baboon when I told him I'd remove the games and show him the other side of the disc. He wasn't touching my property unsure if he was going to low-ball me because if he was, I wanted my property back I made very effort to take care of only to let him act like a savage and send me packing, no! Every game store I've been too does that, EVERY! So, it's interesting watching these guys go through a box to the brim with toys because, you've gotta go through that and you pull one toy out of there not thinking and it catches, there you are saying: "Yeah, [such and such piece] usually goes there." Well, it did until you snapped it off because that plastic becomes brittle. Ergh.... Brings on PTSD. And then you're going through the box before it goes to the trash, if you give it a second look and see a bit of plastic and fo "Gee, what's tha......? Oh s**t! I gone done broke it." Yeah......
Yo, love the Blade shirt (and the vid, thanks) I was playing Marvel Midnight Suns last night and was working on leveling up Blade. Oh yea, talk about pwn. he is awesome
It seems like you wld have to be a GI Joe expert in order to run a vintage toy store - no other toy line has so many accessories with every figure/vehicle. My generation of vintage Star Wars toys is so much easier in comparison. I “aged out” as GI Joe arrived.
I just got a super clean rattler with un used sticker sheet complete but same problem landing gear backwards and same lot a working complete dragon same thing un used sticker sheet
Fair trade?
Yes the seller was very happy. So fair indeed.
After you pay employees, rental/lease fee, insurance, etc. It still was a good deal for both of you.
I keep expecting a video saying you can't buy anymore. it feels like you buy more then sell given all the backrooms and shelves are always stuffed!
Absolutely fair
"Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" .. Toy Federation that's who : }

For the love of everything, get a table please😂😂
True statement how our toys seem so much smaller now in our adult hands now.
IKR I remember my Max Ray Centurion and Matchbox miniature Voltron being so much bigger!

I think that's kinda the whole point though man it's not meant to an in depth analysis more like fly on the wall which I'm into it
He can't believe he got 900 dollars lol.
The Crown Royal bag! So true! If you spot one, there is usually tiny delicate expensive goodies inside! Nobody drank the whiskey, but we had one too!
Crown Royal but agree have my expensive coins and jewelry in them

@ShooWam absolutely. If I went uninvited somewhere to sell anything then I'm at the mercy of the buyer.

Clean collection! Very little wear, missing. Crown Royal bag for the win!
Yeah it's funny don't we all have one of those bags in our family with coins in it or something of value?
Guy at register be like:
"Yeah, my contract says nothing about no floor".
I got the feeling he was jealous as he had to watch the register.
I get to have fun sometimes and help lol. Saturdays are our busiest day usually.

Have you made a “not broke” t-shirt yet? If not, you definitely should.
Dude, I suggested this in a comment several videos back! Haha. "That's broke" on the front & "That's not broke" on the back, or vice versa.
That was awesome collection awesome. Video
$900 Ryan will probably make $2500 not bad
How long does it take to sell tho
Isn’t he 50% usually ? So 1800$
That ad inlay was great 😮
Do a hitters recap at the end, don't always pay attention. Plus, you get some Grails in most videos. Point em out!
Yep do a heavy hitter summary!
I think it would add a lot of entertainment value if the boys flashed their totals to the camera so the veiwer feels like an "insider".
