- How can children learn God’s truth if we don’t know it ourselves? Dr. George Barna joins Pastor Allen Jackson to discuss the current state of children’s ministry in America-both in churches and Christian schools. The Director of Research at Arizona Christian University’s Culture Research Center, Dr. Barna’s research shows that seven out of eight youth pastors currently serving in Christian churches across the country do not have a biblical worldview. “To imagine that the church is going to lead a transformational culture without having a biblical understanding is insanity,” Pastor Allen said. Their discussion shows that taking children to church and enrolling them in Christian schools doesn’t mean they will be taught God’s truth. Ultimately, parents are responsible for their children’s training, and the podcast offers action steps we can take to disciple the children in our lives.

I had 3 sons in the 70’s. I was a “newly born christian” and knew little about the Bible but read it everyday. One day I read that this Word was good to instruct my boys so that they could grow to a perfect human being. That day I started to read the Bible with them every night before bed. We would read and then talk about whatever we had read. Then, we prayed together. We also prayed before going to school and always blessed them (in high voice) when I took them to school just before they entered the building. They waited for me to say all the blessing in Numbers 6:24-26! This went on until they started going to University! They grew up with faith in God and in Jesus and are now blessing their children in the same way.

It’s no wonder the enemy is dividing the family. He doesn’t want the spiritual influence of grandparents on their grandchildren. If you are like me and have an adult child who has estranged him/herself from you - don’t give up! Fight that spiritual battle through prayer! The eternity of our children and grandchildren is at stake!

Yes, we as parents need to take this serious and raise our children with a biblical view. This is the only way, to make the world a better place. We are facing the consequences of us not taking our walk with God seriously. Children need God more than anything. God help us.

We Need The Holy Spirit in order to teach our children!!!! God has promised , " if we ask we will receive" God wants to give us The Baptism of The Holy Spirit..... By His Son Jesus Christ
We have to ask for it, ask for wisdom ask for understanding, seek , knock, ask, till it happens, we are soldiers of the kings army, we have no clue what to do, that's a problem. Pray, seek knock ask, ask for a clean heart and a right spirit, ask for our households ask for a renewing of our land, of our hearts of our children, stand up and stand firm. The Lord will fight for us if we recognize we are all sinners and have fallen short, don't run like Adam did, run to God, confess, ask for forgiveness, He didn't say confess to the world so they will judge you, He said confess to Him, tell Him you recognize you can't do anything without Him. Nothing! Call out to Him, before it's to late, He loves us, good bad and ugly He loves us, He died for all of us took on our sins and now He's looking to see if you love Him for helping you.
I am begging God to help me as I have grown so discouraged and fearful and I am struggling. I very much desire to make a difference as I battle so many issues and challenges that seem well impossible and I know in my heart all this guilt and shame are not from the Lord but I also know I can do NOTHING without the Holy Spirit power.. I need Jesus to rebuke the enemy that is lurking in every direction I look. Lord bring me the grace to Stand and be the witness to my family for I feel like running away and hiding most of the time, please help me in Jesus mighty name, Amen! 🙏👆🏼✝️😔

Powerful conversation! There’s ah saying in the Caribbean “ children do what they see and not what you tell them to do”. This is why I try to be so careful of the example I’m setting for my children, after all they are souls loaned to me for ah time from God and one day I’ll have to answer to Him about my influence and the manner in which I raised them. Yes Pastor Allen, the Church begins in the table kitchen in our home, I teach my children and grandchildren to honor God with our lives daily, now they are young in the church but they are not serving the Lord as my desire, but I am praying and praying for them.

The country and the world are in deep trouble. We need a Biblical world view and Allen Jackson is upfront about how to do that. Make a commitment.
God is doing big things! I am so blessed to see what he’s doing in the life of our teens. 2020 had a terrible impact on our teens, and it’s taken a lot of time and patience, and letting go and letting God. And continuing to read scripture consistently with them. But what the enemy meant for evil, God turned it to good. Praise Him for his goodness! My daughter and her friends started an independent Christian Lounge Club at their high school. They got permission to set up a booth at Freshman orientation last night.
WORD!!! Speaking the truth in LOVE!!! We didn't attend a church or raise our children as disciples of Christ, but GOD is going to use us now to influence Ezekiel (meaning "strength of God") our grandson, who I believe is going to lead his parents to Christ!!!! My son went to a Christian university to become a pastor. However, the university hired a Greek professor who was a known atheist because of his knowledge. Unfortunately, he chose to turn my son into an atheist. He told me the worst thing I'd done was to raise him to believe the Word of God. However, Acts 16:31 is the eternal promise of God. Isa 54:13 is the eternal promise of God. There are so many others. God cannot lie. He will pursue him (and all the lost children of Christians) until my son (and they) realizes the amazing Love and mercy of Jesus once again.
Thank you, Pastor Allen, for having Dr. Barna to having the heart to have taken the time to show how down through so many generations parents have not listened to their instructions given in Bible, specifically Deuteronomy 6:7-9 and Proverbs 22:6

in the 60's the catholic church didn't teach any emphasis on end times, rapture, 2nd coming, persecution, or to apply scripture to your life..being a christian slacked..it is so awesome the holy spirit boldness and unction these days esp; is so powerful in truth..🕊

Thank you addressing these cultural issues. I have no children but have many friends that do and it is evident they are more influenced by culture than their parents or the chur h. I particpate in our church's VBS...now more earnestly than ever.
Awesome- great Godly/ humble wisdom. I truly think we’re in the overtime phase of the end times and don’t believe our nation will ever turn back to the Lord. Like the Titanic reached a point of eminent doom- I believe we need to keep sharing the Gospel of Jesus and pray that many will get into the rescue boats ( be saved through faith in Jesus)

The first thing is keeping the families together. Reform the courts to make commitments mean something and parents more than a monthly check.

We have to know the complete Bible OT & NT to pray scriptures over the children, the good Pastors, our communities, everything, and our needs.
I agree with Pastor Jackson but I am 78 years old. In all these years I have witnessed cliches that can’t be ignored in churches. The church has really failed in disciplining new believers. No program to mentor new Christians to help them understand the Bible and find their place of service.

This accurate view of a faith world view is exactly why I won’t bring my granddaughter with me to Easter service at WOC. I absolutely love WOC and pastor Allen. However, I’m not in support of a dressed up “easter bunny” present on Easter Sunday as a distraction from the real reason we’re showing up on Easter Sunday, to celebrate Christ rising from the grave. A display of the open tomb would be more appropriate and generate thought provoking conversation with our children and grandchildren.
I left my home church because the pastor was touting the broadway play Wicked from the pulpit. It’s becoming harder and harder to find church’s who trust God will show up if they stick to biblical world views. The general population’s and the church’s need to be liked and accepted by everyone is causing true conviction to fall by the wayside.

Pastor Allen… the segment of the Christian body that I’ve seen deep growth & commitment are those who’ve been rejected by the church because we adopted a Supernatural Worldview of the Bible.
We found people like Chuck Missler (from Calvary churches) and Dr. Michael Heiser teaching a more cohesive and informative way by filling us in to the worldview of the first Century Christians & Jews.

Great topic. I am the only one in my family my two young grandchildren age 7 & 13 that is a believer. Both their parents are atheist. Please advise what I can say to my grandchildren. All I say is how much Jesus loves them. The 13 year no longer believes as he has followed his fathers beliefs.
