Claire Saffitz's Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting | Dessert Person | Recipe Test Review

Today I'm making Claire Saffitz's Cream Cheese Brown Butter Frosting from her Dessert Person cookbook. The tanginess of the cream cheese and the nuttiness of the brown butter help offset the sweetness of the powdered sugar in this frosting. Not only is this frosting light, creamy, and smooth, it's also gorgeous to look at! This cream cheese brown butter frosting is studded with flecks of brown from toasty milk solids as black vanilla bean seeds. It comes together quickly in a stand mixer, but you could also make this with a hand mixer.
