Thank you for showing this museum. I'll never get too see it in person. And BTW the electric car has been around since the turn of the 19thcentury ..look it up
This is one of the places I want to go to so badly. We were planning on visiting Washington D.C. last year but then the pandemic happened unfortunately.
The best thing about Smithsonian museums is that they offer admission free of charge! Even the DC museums that don’t offer free admission are still worth checking out.
I grew up outside of DC and visited the various museums including this one. Some of their exhibits haven't changed in 50 years. Back in the sixties for a kid this place was magic.
thank you for sharing this video, we're from Canada, Alberta and all these museums in DC are on our list to visit. But your video gives us a great prelude to what we can look for.
Let me help ya on a few features so you'll know next visit. The Ford wagon is referred to as a "Woodie". The part you mentioned muscle(those were pre-muscle)cars, when 'Merica was in the Rocket or Fins era. Now you said Delorean and a car he probably helped create was the red Gran Prix you walked past. And the biggest fumble was calling the Tucker an EV because you saw the gas tank on the fender. That is because the car was rear engined with a used helicopter engine. The fuel tank was uo front. Check out the movie please because he definitely did a backflip in his grave. All right have a great day. Hmu next time you're in the srea 😉
hi ariel :) thank you very much for a wonderful week full of history and just to be able to take in all the areas explored. i liked the museums alot and hope i get the opportunity to visit them someday!
I found your channel a few days ago cuz it said LIVE Alexandria...had to step in and see your walk.i loved it. I lived there years ago and took my baby girl, at times visitors to thee museum and I loved it. Never close to seeing it all. Sad not seeing it all. Your a great and funny guy who loves the past and lives in the today’s. Great great video!🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
Just to clarify, the reason the employee was shooing you away was because you were approaching the actual Star Spangled Banner. Yes, that one. It is, I believe, not allowed to be photographed for preservation purposes. It is considered by many to be one of America's (not Murica) most precious and treasured artifacts. It's just inappropriate to run in with a selfie stick and call it the "Betsy Ross flag". She didn't make that one. There are videos here that tell the story of the flag and how Frances Scott Key wrote the song. I challenge anyone with a beating heart to watch one and not get choked up. I genuinely hope that given more time to record, you would've shown a little more respect for the things that represent the the sacrifice so many gave for our freedom.
I love traveling with you. It opens my mind and my soul to everything in the world. Thank you for this experience!

Nice video. I visited this museum in August 2019 and it was ok. I liked the Air and Space museum a lot better.

Bruhhhh same my family had plans to go and visit DC and the upper East coast last year but then the covid pandemic ruined it all🙃
I wanted to go here aswell-
The pandemic didn't get in the way, my mum being underpaid did, and so does a flight across continents, pricy.

They should make a Smithsonian auto and transportation museum by itself and a military museum by itself
1955 "Woodie". Throw a couple of long boards on a rack on the roof and you have the ultimate surfermobile of the 60's and even this very day.
