  • There is nothing quite as magical as hunting elephant in Botswana.
Elephant hunting is considered one of huntings pinnacles and Botswana has the best elephant hunting in all of Africa hands down.
Join Limcroma Safaris as we embark on another big five hunting adventure, this time around to harvest a big Botswana tusker to complete not only the big five but also the dangerous seven with very dear friends.
For many avid hunters elephant hunting is by far the best hunting safari and once you fall in love with it it's hard to beat. No doubt one of the most exciting animals on the planet to hunt but hunting these silent giants in some of the best areas that Botswana has to offer presents an opportunity to also harvest a really big trophy elephant bull.
Ivory is special and being able to hunt big bulls doesn't only make it more exciting but the tusks and trophy even that more special.
Tracking elephant on foot and assessing ivory, getting up close and personal with these magnificent creatures is what truly makes elephant hunting in Botswana stand apart from anything else. Elephant hunting is both a very humbling but rewarding experience, something that every serious big game hunter should strive towards doing at least once in their life.
The biggest and best elephant trophies consistently come out of Botswana since they have reopened and the prime areas offer unmatched elephant hunting and trophy quality. It is easy to see in excess of 50 bulls a day and make approaches on a few most days of your safari. Typical elephant hunts in Botswana are 10 days.
One of the most important things to know about elephant hunting in general, not only hunting them in Botswana is that the overall experience of hunting elephant is what makes it so magic. I't not just all about the big trophy size or the weight of the ivory but the hunting experience as a whole.
Hunting elephant in Botswana contributes greatly to the rural communities and provide many jobs and a source of protein for many.

To educate the unknowing, Botswana has a very healthy population of elephants. Much in the same way that in America there are deer hunting seasons to control population and generate wealth for people and conservation, you can hunt elephants in Botswana. This is no worse than hunting deer

Haai, it's actually nearly out of control, not as bad as Kruger in South Africa, where the Government has done nothing to manage the Pachyderms & they have virtually destroyed the mature tree canopy & consequent Ecosystem of all important soil & plants.
      Take care.

To throw in my two cents - elephant hunting has the full support of the indigenous people.
There are no supermarkets. They are protein starved, and a harvested elephant means food for the people.
Another thing to remember is that elephants will kill the people from time to time.
Elephant hunting has lots positives. The negative is the uneducated liberals who think conservation is explained by
      cuteness

I read that the most of the female elephants in South Africa had been inmunocontracepted and a few bull males vasectomised.

Has anyone heard about elephant genetics and the essential role genetics plays in a healthy elephant population. By the way elephant cows prefer older bulls and they breed right up until they wear out their last set of teeth. Elephant bulls never become redundant!

Please do not hurt these beautiful creatures. God has created these beautiful magnificent animals. So that our children and grand children enoy these beautiful creatures.

The elephants are a well managed, abundant, renewable resource. The elephants provide the enjoyment of dangerous game hunting in the immense African wilderness. The elephants provide massive quantities of biltong that the Negros enjoy eating.

God created this particular one to breed for many years and finally feed entire villages for much needed protein and nourishment. Funds generated will go to anti-poaching efforts. Have you been to Botswana? There is no shortage of Elephant in Africa for your children and grand children. Pulling them off their computer screen might be what you should be more concerned about.
