I started watching around a year ago, and finally bought a Wii/mkwii/SD card+reader/HDMI adapter to start playing ctgp myself. It's such a blast! Still one of my favorite series on YT as well :)

@@drewce390 custom tracks are just modded files of the default tracks. So essentially they are just playing on a modded maple tree way while everyone else's tree way isnt modded.
@@FrogInShorts I was really surprised when I saw they were playing against other people and not the ai. Everyone is playing the normal track while they have all the extra stuff in it? Could the normal players interact with the modded stuff? Don't you think it's kinda wired that other people are playing the track normally and these guys are going backwards and riding around on different parts of the track and stuff?
@@drewce390 normal people couldn't interact with it. And I can see how that'd be strange, but that's kinda the nature of flounderfest. At it's heart, it's a competition between Nick and Troy where they have an advantage/disadvantage compared to everyone else. There's been exceptions to this rule but overall I love the format
The first track was literally my dream track as a child, I always wanted maple tree-way but the track was the rainbow road one, not exactly how I imagined it, but it’s the closest thing

Who remembers the previous race insanity on that same version of Mushroom Gorge where Troy made a comeback. Was hoping they’d bring it up because it was probably one of the best races in the entire series

That Dry Dry Ruins mod is really cool ngl, it could genuinely be a proper track of its own
With a few modifications, it kind of makes me think it could be a nice Donkey Kong Country temple level.

This was very cool for them to take their favorite tracks and mess them up. I do appreciate the tracks like Wario Gold Mine where you interact with the other players cause I feel that makes an obstacle for Troy and Nick to endure.

If you look at the speedometer, Troy is still going 84 when drifting, so I think the stats are the same. Probably placebo'd themselves XD

These cursed tracks are great fun to watch...maybe not to drive
One time I chucked a banana while going off the blue and white shortcut ramp on Raceway and sniped Birdo down at the end of the straightaway. I ended up winning that race 👍
I think that Mushroom Gorge mod should be fixed so that you can actually make the jumps

Hopefully the tiebreaker will be a fair game unlike the past 2 episodes. The last 2 were just a dice roll, more so than regular MKW. Thankfully their luck evened out and it didn't tank the whole season...
