Aldi is great.. You don't really have to look at the prices - it's so affordable I'm usually stunned when I go to pay.. This evening I bought a frozen pizza, big bag of chips and a half gallon of chocolate milk and it only cost $3.75, where else can you get a meal like that for less than 10 bucks? lol...
I have taken those pasta kits and made pasta salad by just adding the seasonings to mayo and milk mixture and letting it set in the fridge over night then mixing it into the cooked pasta. Add cucumbers tomatoes or whatever if desired. Always get compliments wherever I take it!
The Aldi in our neighborhood is in a nice area but attracts a very eclectic crowd. The store is also a little rough inside and kind of low rent. The first time my husband went in he said no way am I shopping here! My brother swears by it where he lives so I went in and bought one thing and ran out! Lol! I gave it a second chance when I went organic and was going broke shopping at Whole Foods! Now I love Aldi and find such good deals on cheese, produce, diary products and salmon. It’s a small store so I can get in and out in half the time as my regular grocery store.
Now I can understand what people on the Aldi video are commenting about "only poor people shop Aldi" just look how poor this lady looks & that tacky kitchen with the worn out appliances! First, I must say, it looked like it "hurt" her thumb when she put that quarter in the cart & it looked like it was a lot of extra trouble to have to bother with that trouble! How unorganized the Aldi store was & what poor quality everything looked! I wonder why I could never see it before! NOT...she & the Aldi she shops in is what I see when I have shopped at Aldi!!! It is awesome that you ladies are "showing the truth" about Aldi! Shopping at Aldi IS a good experience!!!! Very nice, healthy food shopping trip, thank you for the video!!!! Lol Judie

As with most things if you want to stay in the game you have to evolve with the demands. Aldi has come leaps and bounds from it’s prior association with low prices for the not so well to do. Good job on your hauls. While I am a recent Aldi convert I do find as with other stores not all products are found in all Aldi’s. As usual the market drives what is on the shelf at any particular store and at any particular time. I am extremely happy with my 2 minute away Aldi although some Specialty items take longer, or so it seems, to get to my shelves 🙂
I shop at Aldi because it's a 2 minute walk from my front door so it's like having a second pantry.... Also, Aldi is pretty inexpensive and the majority of their products are just as good as the name brand - some products are better... I mean sure they have some products that are crap, but Aldi does offer their version of "premium" products.... Hot dogs and cheese are good examples... They have nasty cheese and nasty hot dogs but they also have premium cheese and premium hot dogs and they're just as good if not better than the name brand.... Besides, I had no idea there was such a thing called "poor people food", lol... I mean is there honestly a difference between name brand green beans and Aldi brand green beans? yea, I think not..... Sure there are some items that are nasty like their soda and such but usually Aldi does carry name brands as well.... IMO, when you shop at a "name brand store" it's clear to me that you're paying for the service, because their products are no better than Aldi's..
My first experience with Aldi was 15 years ago in Northern Va and not a good impression. Fast forward to last year and a brand new Aldi in Virginia Beach and totally different experience. I a regular shopper especially when Im in a hurry

This Crazy Life Trader Joe’s is awesome (and Costco too). The TJ near me is about an hr away. So we don’t shop there often. I love their Green Tea mints they sell at check out!! Mmmm. My husband is always putting berries in water to have at work. I always stock up on berries when they are on sale - this time of yr is tough. Those blackberries were a great price!

This Crazy Life ooof...i hope you don't get too much of a price shock. While Aldi's is owned by the same company, the stores are vastly different. TJs is a solid 5 times more expensive than an Aldi's and has an even smaller selection of items. I wouldn't bank on doing most of your shopping there. Look for a Kroger affiliate store in Utah. That's where your bargains will be.

Love the quinoa crunch patties! I hope my Aldi will get the southwest flavor soon. If you have not fixed them before, it is worth noting that they do get rather soggy and crumbly while unthawing, so it is not a good idea to microwave. Have tried it in a pinch and regretted every bite lol! Oven or pan frying is definitely the way to go with these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! 😊

Donna White I got them years ago from initials inc... they are called the out and about tote. I’ve looked into it since I have gotten so many comments on them, but I found out this style was discontinued. However there is another bag from them that is the same as mine except it has a zipper you can choose to use to not. That one is called the day tripper 😊

I’ve made one for my mom too using a different dimension one to fit her space better. You can definitely make it your own, but I love having a menu board! WOWZERS... GREAT haul! I also got the crunchy quinoa burgers. Can't wait to try them this week! All the healthy items they had this week was CRAZY! I was sooo excited to see the oranges on sale! I recommend you Mi Tienda. You can get a really good deal for some stuffs too. It's like H-E-B and bought by H-E-B but named Mi Tienda but with lots of more stuffs.... If you do try it let me know how it went...

I have a question? Doesn't Aldy sell everything cheaper cause they are not the real brand. I wouldn't mind shopping there but last time I bought some Oreo cookies they tasted not so original. Walmart is really expensive so I shop at Sam's.
Yes they have their own brands for most things. And there were a few things we tried that we didn’t love, but most of the items we as good or better than the name brand. It’s definitely a different type of store than most, but I loved it when we lived by aldi♥️
A good portion of Aldi's products come from Europe. Can check that by looking at the packaging. European countries do not permit GMO, high fructose corn syrup, etc. I'm eating a quasi-paleo diet so not eating cookies but what I have purchased at Aldi's has been delicious!

This Crazy Life I made mine last night I had the chili pepper one and I love spicy food but it definitely had kick to it. Because my kids were eating also I put some red sauce to it added Parmesan crusted chicken from aldi then put little more sauce on top of noodles and chicken. My fiancé didn’t care for the noodles but like the taste of the chili pepper seasoning.

As an adult I ate frozen dinners, hot dogs, pizza, etc. for breakfast. Not healthy!! NOW I'm changing my diet so I have been eating a lot of scrambled eggs for breakfast but will also eat them anytime. I'm not rigid on what to eat when. ;)

She said ours is bigger than typical Aldi stores because they moved into a preexisting structure and didn’t build it from scratch. I don’t have anything to compare it to since it’s the only Aldi I’ve been in, but I definitely love it! It would be nice if they made all stores a bit bigger it sounds like.
sunnyalways68 I just shopped at Aldi for the first time this past Sunday and thought it would take a quarter every time you use their carts but I was totally wrong. You put the quarter to release the cart and you get your quarter back when you return the cart. I went to the Aldi in Houston, Texas.

This Crazy Life Trader Joe’s is awesome (and Costco too). The TJ near me is about an hr away. So we don’t shop there often. I love their Green Tea mints they sell at check out!! Mmmm. My husband is always putting berries in water to have at work. I always stock up on berries when they are on sale - this time of yr is tough. Those blackberries were a great price!

This Crazy Life ooof...i hope you don't get too much of a price shock. While Aldi's is owned by the same company, the stores are vastly different. TJs is a solid 5 times more expensive than an Aldi's and has an even smaller selection of items. I wouldn't bank on doing most of your shopping there. Look for a Kroger affiliate store in Utah. That's where your bargains will be.

Necole Allen we loved the ravioli last night! It was definitely something I would love to keep on hand because it’s frozen and it was tasty and so quick! I’m thinking I will plan to film decorating the cake... I also filmed my other sons polar express cake. If you have not fixed them before, it is worth noting that they do get rather soggy and crumbly while unthawing, so it is not a good idea to microwave. Have tried it in a pinch and regretted every bite lol! Oven or pan frying is definitely the way to go with these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! 😊

Donna White I got them years ago from initials inc... they are called the out and about tote. I’ve looked into it since I have gotten so many comments on them, but I found out this style was discontinued. However there is another bag from them that is the same as mine except it has a zipper you can choose to use to not. That one is called the day tripper 😊

It’s awesome 🙌 and my menu board was just a magnetic chalk board from hobby lobby several years ago and I got the days of the week magnets there too. I’ve made one for my mom too using a different dimension one to fit her space better. You can definitely make it your own, but I love having a menu board! WOWZERS... GREAT haul! I also got the crunchy quinoa burgers. Can't wait to try them this week! All the healthy items they had this week was CRAZY! I was sooo excited to see the oranges on sale! Oranges have been sooo expensive in our area... like $1/ea! That's CRAZY to me! You'll have to let me know how the cashew milk is... I've been wanting to try it as well! I have a question? Doesn't Aldy sell everything cheaper cause they are not the real brand. I wouldn't mind shopping there but last time I bought some Oreo cookies they tasted not so original. Walmart is really expensive so I shop at Sam's.
Yes they have their own brands for most things. And there were a few things we tried that we didn’t love, but most of the items we as good or better than the name brand. It’s definitely a different type of store than most, but I loved it when we lived by aldi♥️

A good portion of Aldi's products come from Europe. Can check that by looking at the packaging. European countries do not permit GMO, high fructose corn syrup, etc. I'm eating a quasi-paleo diet so not eating cookies but what I have purchased at Aldi's has been delicious!

FiestyTaco you get it back when you return the cart, its just to encourage you to return your cart when you’re done shopping😉 that way they don’t have to hire employees to retrieve them and then they can pass along those savings to you

sammixx22 hey! So I made the stuffed ravioli pasta and topped it with a jar of tomato sauce from Costco lol super yummy! And for the dried pasta kits, I actually haven’t made it yet since my husband has been out of town almost every day that he hasn’t been working, and his work schedule has been crazy 🙈 lol so we have had lots of dinners with just myself and our boys, but definitely this week when he is home for dinner I’ll be making at least one of them! I’m dying to try them! 😍

This Crazy Life yeah dry one is what I was asking I didn’t know if your suppose cook the noodles and add the seasoning to just the noodles or how you make your green bean pasta and then add the seasoning to it all or do you put sauce? This Crazy Life I made mine last night I had the chili pepper one and I love spicy food but it definitely had kick to it. Because my kids were eating also I put some red sauce to it added Parmesan crusted chicken from aldi then put little more sauce on top of noodles and chicken. My fiancé didn’t care for the noodles but like the taste of the chili pepper seasoning.

As an adult I ate frozen dinners, hot dogs, pizza, etc. for breakfast. Not healthy!! NOW I'm changing my diet so I have been eating a lot of scrambled eggs for breakfast but will also eat them anytime. I'm not rigid on what to eat when. ;)

Necole Allen I have heard that so much, and I recently asked someone who worked there about it. She said ours is bigger than typical Aldi stores because they moved into a preexisting structure and didn’t build it from scratch. I don’t have anything to compare it to since it’s the only Aldi I’ve been in, but I definitely love it! It would be nice if they made all stores a bit bigger it sounds like.
They make you pay to use a basket? That is so Wrong. I live in Texas. I haven't even done that. We don't have Aldi tho.
sunnyalways68 I just shopped at Aldi for the first time this past Sunday and thought it would take a quarter every time you use their carts but I was totally wrong. You put the quarter to release the cart and you get your quarter back when you return the cart. I went to the Aldi in Houston, Texas.
sunnyalways68 they have you pay a quarter for a basket, but you get it back when you return the basket. It’s to encourage you to return your basket so they don’t have to hire someone to retrieve the carts from the parking lot and then they can pass the savings along to you! 😉
