Megas are already seeing some movement, the primal/mega weather trio cards are all moving up, especially the full art mega ray going up $35 aud in the last month

My kid LOVES the mega cards! Beware though if buying online because there are LOTS of fakes out there. Zoom in and make sure the card has the right texturing to it..
Yeah I’d personally buy these graded / PSA. The quality can be super poor since they are old.
i mean eeveelutions are always a secure, but a few of others in the vid dont think so, gold mew, iron valiant, rainbows (maybe pikachu) and hopefully next gen megas full arts gets better arts tbh
I think with Legends Z-A we may get better mega cards.

I like seeing some of the cards in my collection are the ones you have listed. I really want to pick up that gardevoir. I told myself if I pulled this from paldean fates I would be done opening packs. I might just buy it though since the price has been at that $50 mark for the last 2 months.

I just started picking up some cards like houndoor , scizor and cleffa from obsidian flames.
They are dirt cheap and i really like the art on them.

That Alakazam is a masterpiece! Thats my base set Charizard. Wonder if itd be worth it to mill raw cards for a PSA 10. Im surevthe raw prices will appreciate nicely too
I think the Mega Cards look extremely cool. The Text is the best about them.
Over the years I've enjoyed them a bit more, but definitely when released people were not happy!

Yeah I also feel that Rainbows and Megas are being undervalued. I've picked up so many of those cards for dirt cheap all last year and still cant convince people that they are good.
I remember pulling a rainbow and going “ wow “ at the quality of it. Then i saw it was worth 6 bucks and was flabbergasted 💀
Hi there, great Video and just sbed.! I was into buying a graded Leafeon and Glaceon and seems the Japanese versions as much cheaper than the English. Do you think they have the same potential or is there a reason why the English ones are more expensive? Thanks!!
Thanks for the sub! In terms it depends if you prefer collecting Japanese or English. I’m not too sure to tell you the truth.
I do agree, those Eeveelutions are really nice pickups for the future - ESPECIALLY in PSA 10, those populations have insanely low 10 rate. Check out the V card promos, those are even more scarce in 10s..
The discrepancy, between English and Japanese, is due to their releases. The OG Eeveelution Vmax cards in Japanese were ungodly difficult to obtain. They were moving for like $500-800 on the secondary market immediately and really never came down. Very limited.
Seems we’re on the same thought pattern! And absolutely for the Japanese Eevee’s. Infinitely harder to acquire, but it shows how much people love their Eeveelutions.

yea the Kanto Eeveelution Vmaxes were limited promos in Japan and other asian language prints like Thai/Indonesian and Traditional Chinese.

I guess I’m different because if I see a 10 costs 5x more than the 9 I’ll buy the 9 everytime. More often than not the price appreciation will be greater with the 9 over time.
Thoughts on other XY full arts? Very very low pop. Wailord, Sharpedo, Kyogre, Skarmory etc etc. there’s a small underground group chasing these cards and they are rarely up for sale. Great podcast!

Pop report doesn't mean as much as you think. Technically my japanese spinarak from. Neo only has a pop report of 8, but there are a shit load of them out there lol. People just don't care as much about Arceus/Dialga/Palkia card as the hot ones you compared it to.
Definitely has some truth here. Although we cannot discount people researching older sets as more fans enter!

@@phillips.collectibles Bout 10 golds. Only 2 Tinas tho.. Bout 10 of each Raikou, Sylveon, and Mewtwo. Leafeon and Glaceon maybe 10 each. Actually I think that makes 60 so that is the exact breakdown I think.

Gotta disagree on those rainbows. Maybe from sun and moon they were desirable pulls because they were l new, but sword and shield they just aren’t holding value. I’ve never been happy pulling a rainbow, I’d rather have the alt art, or for trainers just the full art version with actual color. That seems to be a pretty shared sentiment as almost every alt and full art is more expensive then the rainbow version by a huge margin. They are Kind of like the gold cards, just don’t hit and haven’t hit in years. The gold snorlax and rainbow pika and charizard from sword and shield have all gone down in price a ton, and with alt arts and illustration rares now a thing, the whole cgi generated Pokémon in colored background is just kinda meh. Just my opinion. Love your content, refreshing and rational as always.
I think it’s more that they will become nostalgic for the era. Similar to e-reader cards.
We’ll have to see though. I do agree the CGI cards don’t look good and hopefully we don’t see that style return!
Rainbows will skyrocket, there’s no other rarity that look like rainbows , and nothin compares to having one in your hands they just look so good and shiny,
@@lastplayer5838I mean , that’s your opinion. My defense of them not being very valued is the market prices. Cards with color are always more valuable then the rainbow versions. There’s a couple vmax outliers, but overall I don’t see most of the rainbows going anywhere. IMO
Megas are trash cards, ones of the ugliest ever made
