Fantastic!!🙌😍
I was glad to watch how you paint all those greens. I just moved to Portugal and I'm not used to lots of greens that all run together in my view. You did a lovely job of making olive trees and the others distinct. thank you
How exciting to be living in Portugal! I hope you have a great time drawing and painting there. The weather and scenery are perfect 😊
Strong elements in both. I do like the leafy pattern and the hint of pavers in the path, as well as the trees in the background in the first.
Yes, good points. When I do the next one I want to combine the best bits from both 🙂
So neat to see your process! Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you for watching! It’s nice to know that the effort is appreciated 😊
This is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your painting process. I love your work so much. I think that 2nd one is just perfect. It’s nice to know that you don’t have a perfect piece each time. It never occurred to me that you would try a painting again. I would buy a print of that 2nd one if you had it for sale. Thank you for all the inspiration and sharing your beautiful painting style! I hope to paint like you one day. :)
Thank you for the lovely comments! I’m not usually that good at doing the same image again but I am a big fan of the artist Victoria Semykina and she often makes 3 or 4 versions of a similar image. I thought I would try to and see what I learn 😊
Love them both
Thank you!
I absolutely love the second one! Just beautiful! Thank you for sharing the photo and some of your process.
My pleasure 😊
This was fun Liz. I live in Florence so know the exact view you painted and you did a great job. A third would be interesting, the view never gets old :)
Oh wow, what an amazing place to live! Yes, I am going to do a third one 😊
Wow this is so stunning!! and so interesting to see everything coming together 🤩
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this gem! You definitely need to do a third one!
Thank you for the encouragement! I will 😊
I love it! Thank you for sharing, I think the second one is wonderful
Thank you! It’s so good to get fresh opinions 😊
Lis thank you so much for sharing this, I'm a big fan of yours, and seeing your process is pretty fantastic!
That’s lovely of you to say, thank you!
Wow beautiful painting. Not easy to get colours and values so good with direct painting in watercolour. And I think my idea of heaven would be living there.
Yes, it was such a lovely view. I would definitely love to stay there for a while and record it all in watercolour!
They're both lovely, tho quite different. At the back of the second there's what might be a tunnel? I love it, next to a building. Yes, I'd. I've to see a third version! Mx
Thank you! Yes, there are some blobs in the background area that could be read like that 😄 Will work on a third one and look out for that section.
Thank you, Liz, it was so helpful to see your process on a very complex landscape illustration. I love your second piece. I like the first one as well, but I thought leaving the foreground with less detail made us focus more on the building and lush vegetation behind. Seeing how you worked from beginning to end on the vegetation and your brush marks was so informative. I'm sorry I can't join you this time for your Portugal retreat, but I hope one day to have a chance to meet you and learn from you in person.
Thank you for the considered review of the two pieces. I have had. Quite a few comments which is encouraging! Will do a third version soon✏️
😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Always wonderful
Thank you 😊
Analogous
Had to look that up 🙂
