I don't see how people think this is a major change? The only difference is that Ahren is singing more and the tempo is a little slower on some songs. We still have harsh vocals, cleans, great guitar work and lyrics. What's not to like? This album is great
Except for just like me, Baltimore rain and aloneliness is the worst piece of shit I've ever heard.

Ok so I'm listening to the album on spotify. Just found out it came out. Had to come here to comment. Holy shit this song is amazing. This album is great so far. I got into this band kinda late like 2-3 years ago. But I'm digging everything.

What got me on TAA was "Drag The Lake" and love this band
The phrase "Smoke 'em if you got 'em" or "Smoke if you got 'em" is slang for "do what you want, if you have the means". The first phrase was popular in the United States military during World War II, meaning to take a break. Officers would say "Smoke 'em if you got 'em", allowing the soldiers to take a break and smoke their cigarettes, "if you got' em" referring to the vagaries of war. Cigarettes were nearly impossible to get in Europe during that time because of the deprivations of the war. Along with nylon stockings for women, cigarettes were a luxury item that took on cultural importance beyond their monetary value. Soldiers got a daily allotment of cigarettes with their K ration, the 1940s combat ration equivalent of modern Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs). Not all soldiers smoked, and unsmoked cigarettes became a War Department currency. The soldiers traded freely across all borders and social classes. Seventy-five years later, the phrase was a touchstone used in all media to evoke a former heroic period.

It's a shame that people can't listen to this without comparing it to the band's best albums. I personally love this album and have loved every album except their first punk EP or whatever it was. These boys have managed to deliver to their fans and it's a shame some people can't enjoy the music and appreciate the work these guys put in without saying, "I can't find a single good song. I miss old Amity."
I personally love the change up in last album yes I love the old stuff like chasing ghost. But I understand that bands can't stay the same and no matter what I dont think this band can make bad music

Bands evolve and change their sound. My top 4 all have a different sound to them which is why they're up that high. I came into this band around Let the Ocean Take Me and Youngbloods is my number 1. The only reason LTOTM is number 2 is because of Death's Hand, My Father's Son, Pittsburgh, Don't Lean on Me, and The Weigh Down. All are bangers.
This Could Be Heartbreak is so low because I only really liked All Fucked Up, I Bring the Weather With Me, This Could Be Heartbreak, and Fight My Regret. The rest were okay.
@@DCul my list is almost exactly like that except switch youngblood and chasing ghost just because that's where I found the band. But I almost love all their stuff except for their raw stuff like you said. But all the albums all tell you what they are going through

@@DCul you know I also think people dont consider the album as a whole. The singles that they released were all straight FIRE. They release the album, we get like 3-4 brand new songs. I like 3 out of those 4. I have to say aloneliness is the only one I dont care for and am not putting on the playlist but damn considering the album as a WHOLE is marvelous just as expected.
