I happened to stumble on this video thinking about Newport and my mother who passed a few years back. I had taken her there after meeting someone who was going to school at Roger Williams. We had been at the Chinese Tea House, but I didn't think it would be in this video. At the exact same time I was really just gushing over the video and the great times myself and my family had up there, the drone flies across the Chinese Tea House. It brought back good memories. I can't wait to get back up there.
Drone footage is one thing. Lots of drones in the sky these days. Compelling and excellent editing that inspires the viewer is something else entirely. Well done.
Sailing down to Newport during the summer on Lazybones. Hanging on a mooring for a week at Ida Lewis. Walking downtown. The sights, the smells, the people. There is no substitute.
Id Lewis YC charges $65/night (2017) which includes launch service. Terrific location. Beautiful walk to town or to Fort Adams. When we go to Newport, Ida Lewis is the only place we stay.
Oh my lord! This is a great, picturesque way to show Newport to the UA-cam community. Great job! I went to Newport a million times and I love every second of it. And the background music reminds me of finding nemo for some reason. Anyways AWESOME JOB!!!!
The Rosecliff Mansion was one of the filming locations used on the set of The Great Gatsby, which is based on a novel. I remember watching that movie in high school during English class in my junior year. The Breakers, The Elms, and Marble House are also well-known historic mansions in that area.
Newport reminds me a lot of what Monterey Bay, CA looks like. Except Monterey Bay has golf courses along the coast while Newport has historic mansions and museums along its coast.
