- Welcome to my channel - In this video I take you on a tour of our new Chausson Flash 757 special edition motorhome
We traded in our Swift Bessacarr E444 with a dealer for a new Chausson 757 Special edition, we picked it up on 28th April after around 6 months wait we booked for for a 3 night break away on May day Bank holiday weekend to check all was OK - Everything worked great.
I thought I would make a video of our new motorhome to share.

Nice van, we have a 2015 Chausson with the island bed and love it.
Thank you we love the layout just perfect for us, we liked the island bed but was not sure about mid toilet & shower, we prefer ours to be at rear 👍😁
I really like the light colors, I hate dark colors in small places.

Hi Bob - Thanks for watching video & subscribing to my channel - This Layout is just about perfect for us - The travel seats & drop down bed are only used when we take grandchildren away (one at at time we have 6 in total)

Thanks Trev, We've just had our 2nd outing in her no issues have been found as yet, we named her Iris after my wife's mother who sadly passed away last year, were going to hopefully have lots of adventures in her as well

Hi Bob not a daft question, you are right, i use my old 6 kg bottles from old MH, but lockers designed for 13 kg bottles, i have one in use in locker, spare in tall locker, but with heating running on diesel the gas usage us quite low, only fridge & cooking if not on electric, if on electric 2 x gas hibs & oven, I'm thinking of getting 1 x 11kg refillable system so it gives more storage space in tall locker, hope this helps

Hi Andrew & Karen. What a lovely Motorhome. I love the layout a friend of mine has the same make but different layout and he and his Misses love it. I bet the Grandkids love it. Just popped a sub on. Phil & Juliet😀👍

Went last weekend for first maiden trip, no issues at all we really love the layout ideal as 2 birth but you have the drop down & 2 hidden travel seats which perfect for taking grankids on occasions
Nice motorhome. I prefer my rear u shape lounge. I can sit right in front of the tv and play games on ps4. I got a swift gazelle 1999
Hi thanks for watching, yes layout personal preferance, this MH is perfect for us as either a couples van or with drop down bed in front & closing door to bedroom we can take grandkids & put them to bed while we stop up and go to bed in front drop down bed 👍😊
You look absolutely gutted that the wife is travelling with you, I can feel the pain of married life, haha. Great video and I hope that you all enjoyed the holiday, incl the wife.
Hi Tom not Gutted, but added the ending clip while still waiting for wife & granddaughter to turn up, we should have been on the road an hour before.

Excellent video. What length are the single beds? I'm 6' and 3" and like this layout, but unsure whether the beds are long enough. Thanks.
Hi Kenny, Unfortunately I don't know the correct length of the bed but I know the beds are 80 cm wide, I'm 6'1 & sleep comfortably on the passenger side bed with possibly 3 " clearance to foot of bed, the other bed is slightly shorter probably around 6 ft, the drop down bed is the width of the motorhome I hope this helps,
Daft question time - your gas locker is on the passengers side but I have seen videos of a gas bottle holder in the tall external locker. Is that for a spare? Alan Heath did a review of a 757 at the trade fair which is why I ask?

Great review of the 757. We are looking at getting 1st MH and like the single bed and rear bathroom layout.
Did you look at other makes? What made you go for the Chauson?
Also seeing the bag in the locker I went to school in Ashbourne, now live in Derby; are you from Ashbourne?
Hi Beverley - Thank you for feedback - So many Questions, My advice is choose right the first time make sure the layout is as perfect for you as it can be, yes we did look at other MH's (have you seen the video of our old Bessacarr E444), we fell in love with this one as it was perfect for us as a couple with no shuffling cushions around to make up beds & with 2 hidden travel seats under the bench seats & drop down bed it was perfect for the times we take gran-kids away, a good bit of observation with the bag but were not from Ashbourne but have visited, I live on the outskirts of Sheffield, I was originally born & bred in Castleton in the Hope valley

Have you been happy with the Chausson? Any problems?
Chausson have many layouts with rear bathroom which tends to have better and bigger shower which we favour.
Do you find the 7.5m length a problem.
We're not sure if we could go with shorter MH with drop down bed as there is just the two of us.
Did you look at the Dethleffs with rear bathroom? It's just a bit pricier
Hi again Beverley - Yes we did look at more expensive MH's (I.E Hymer, Dethleffs, Pilote ETC) we did look at British as well but we were on a budget & fell in love with this one at the price we could afford. We are really happy with our Chausson no major problems with it at all only thing that has gone wrong is reversing camera stopped working but this will be checked next month when it goes in for 1st Habitation check. This MH is slightly shorter (7.45mtr) than our old Bessacarr (7.54 mtr) & easier to drive, yes parking can be an issue but not really an issue to me, It's your finances that will drive your purchase & choosing what layout suits you want is even harder you do have to compromise on some things, We cope well with the small kitchen area & the hob, oven & grill is adequate for us, we had a Microwave in old our van but hardly used so that was not a priority to us - Hope this helps
