Thank you so much! This gave great info. One word of advice: if you have sensitive skin and/or are sensitive to glue/adhesive or tape, tell the tech. I made the mistake of not telling them and got a horrible rash and was itching for 24 hours.
Thank you for sharing this information to others. Ive had two 24 hour ekg monitors. The 24h sucks tbh but after that ah THE FEELING WHEN U PEEL OFF the stickers.
Hello. Thank you for the video . I'll have a holter monitor for 24h in a week but I have been told by my manager I can not wear it during work. I am working in a warehouse an it might be against the company policies. I am experiencing heart palpitations during work. What do you advise me to do please?
I had a few heart tests done recently that all concluded that I most likely had Biscupid aortic valve with a slight heart murmur. I was then sent for a CT angiogram outside of hospital which disputed that finding .What’s your opinion on that finding?
Thank you for your feedback, generally the ultrasound/echo tests nowadays are very sensitive to detect bicuspid aortic valves. The CT usually provides greater detail at assessing the valve. Another test that some may consider useful if doubt exists is a transoesophageal echo test where the ultrasound probe is placed in the esophagus to gain a closer look at the aortic valve. I wish you the best in getting this clarified with your doctors!. The fine abrasive paper that is used to prepare your skin for the pads is very very abrasive. So much so I was left with scab marks that stayed around for a few weeks. I won’t be having this again. NHs is a joke.

I am so pleased that I found this channel. The information is excellent and so easy to understand, thanks so much Dr.
I am glad you are finding the channel informative, thanks for your support!
Thank you, this video is very helpful. Hospitals should share leaflets when sending out appointment letters.

@@HeartMattersWow, what a great answer for this person. Often there is no answer from channels or people are fobbed off with not much info.
If someone is stressed and anxious, can results be altered using a Holter?
Does Holter monitor detect heart block?
Yes
its safe and effective
Concern for privacy. Does a 48hr monitor pick up conversations with my wife and or colleagues on sensitive subjects work related?
Always good to ask, these monitors record to a hard drive and detect only signals from the ECG.

Go to the gym no shower🤔😬
I get dizzy because the horrible medicines they put me on I suppose to get this but I think Im going to cancel tired of drs and their test
Try making a video for the patients, not the techs. Ok. they should know how to operate it!
