Suggested addition to the point system: anything less than 50kph is negative points, so if you manage to slow the ball enough and they still score it can become a massive 5-head play

New video idea: dropshot but the tiles move around. This could be on the floor like a normal dropshot map or on the wall and going along or something. Idk it seems cool in my head.

It could totally be interesting to see the inverse of this, where the lower the speed of the ball, the higher the score, maybe even going negative above a certain speed. Basically, the more chance the other team has to save the shot, the more it’s worth! Could be some interesting risk-reward to it

I find it so funny that you can tell that he’s trying to make his voice as deep as possible so when he has a higher pitch then he likes you can hear him getting closer to his mic to make it deeper.

A smart play in overtime if your winning would be to own goal a slow goal perpously to guarentee a win

It would be a 2v2 game where two duos of opponents are sharing 100 boost between each others.

adding on too Nathan B's idea if you get under 50 then that amount of points gets taken away for example if you score a 32 kph goal then 32 points gets taken away (ik im kinda ltae with this idea) lol
Only problem with this is in overtime you could slowly roll the ball into your own net, if you're already ahead a bit
In overtime you could purposely own goal really slowly so you still win if your lead is high enough

This is a great way to average you KPH, just divide the score by how many goals you actually scored and you get your average KPH!
This may have already been done, lmk if so someone, but imagine a field, then like dropshot tiles covering a standard goal and you played with a heat seeker ball… you’d have to break the tiles of the goal face to score the heat seeker goal, maybe slightly larger nets or something like that? I bet this man could do it!

This would be really cool with rumble because there are a lot of powerups to speed up or slow down the ball, spikes could actually be bad to score with for speed.
i wish psyonix would make more mods like this, doesnt have to be crazy new visuals and tons of branded promotion to get good new content in the game. This would be so easy to implement in a temp playlist. Would be great to have a permanent playlist with custom curated mutator rules that change weekly and actual ranking, with a title similar to rng champ lol.

Realistically, it should be pretty easy to code too, since it just has a integer value… just use like a formula for score + whatever last goal kph was. It wouldn’t be that hard, and it only goes up. I mean this would be one of the easiest things for a game developer to do theoretically, right?

The points depend on the amount of boost you have once you score
so some games it'll be 0-0
This is actually a great idea because it would force you to still score trick shots, but try to save your boost

New mode idea: It is this game mode but you and your teammates on both sides will give your 1st 2nd and 3rd goal multiplier (X1, X1.5, X2) in any order before the match starts and each team must score the same amount of times.

Should have it where it’s a point total game mode. So accumulative score of the team + goal speed = total points. Team with the most points win.
And if you could have it where you get half as many points as the ball speed when you save it. Idk there’s a lot of ways to make it interesting
I think the "bouncing on air" is you experiencing the 8ms collision detection rate. Wild to see it visually. UE5 won't have that 😏
Nah they'll still experience that issue because to get mods like this working for online play they have to create virtual LANs via Hamachi, which causes all kinds of desync problems for everyone connected to Leth. What you see from Leth's perspective is nowhere near as bad as what everyone else experiences.

@@head.chef419th yeah I know that, but we do not see anything close to as bad as what everyone else does. The collision certainly gets a bit wonky when the ball is going this fast, but I can *guarantee* you what Rapid was talking about is far, far worse due to the nature of virtual LAN. This is especially notable on, for example, the Ninja Warrior videos where the hitboxes of the obstacles would desync from their 3D models for the players connected to Leth's game, or I remember a racing video where everyone but Leth's cars literally started clipping through the ground mesh because of the inherent latency issues with this setup. It's an unfortunate reality that the more absurd the mods get, the less playable it is for everyone other than Leth. UE5 is not going to fix *that*. Theoretically, RL natively allowing people to host games with mods, thus bypassing weird half-solutions like Hamachi could mitigate some of that, but there's also a zero chance that will ever happen.
@@skeletonhaver hmm I noticed that in his train video, after a quick restart the train was in the wrong place for everyone else.
What I'm talking about is UE5 checking for a collision every 1ms vs the current 8ms. Rocket science has an interesting video about it
