    Love it. I was in Row 4 at Earl's Court in 1975 with Jimmy Page in front (and the large video cameras so everyone could see it). It was shrouded in darkness and they kicked off with Rock n' Roll....They just steamrollered us.....what a concert!

      Made me feel better having read that statement Nick. My wasted years in my room with a small 5 watt amp & $200 electric guitar was my adolescence. The occasional jam session was my big night out. Still. I didn't turn out all that bad.

    • @adamwatson6916
      @adamwatson6916 2 роки тому

      There are live versions where he nailed the solo you have to listen to bootlegs from 71 and the first half or 1972 . He nailed it in Australia 72 and the song remains the same version is also another example you also have to remember that page was not ever trying to nail the studio solo. He liked to improvise the live solos so not nailing like the studio solos was intentional but sometimes he did not nail the improvisation. Page played some kick ass solos for rock and roll in the 90s with plant and also with the black crowes and well . There are many examples of him not playing the solo well but to say he never nailed it is just not true

    Led Zeppelin met Elvis a few times in Vegas. I seen a program and it had his then butler a young guy who was saying he was really excited about meeting Led Zeppelin. Elvis said to him remember whose paying your wages. He said Elvis asked the band whose airplane is that you arrived on? The band said we lease it. Elvis replied I own mine.

When did any member of LZ meet Elvis in Vegas? Can you post where you found that info? It would be interesting to read.
