- I made this golden ring using a French 40 Francs coin from the 1800s. This coin was provided to me by my customer. To be honest, I'm not very happy with the final result, but despite this, my customer is satisfied. have you tried the 20 Reichsmark (Gold) yet or is it to less material (8g) ?
I haven't tried. Maybe I'll try sometime later. But in general, I don’t like gold rings made of coins, they are not contrasting and look just like a strip of gold..

I hate these videos because a lot of these coins (like this one) are worth exponentially more as a coin.
This is like defacing a piece of history. It's like that old lady that fucked up an old painting in a church trying to restore it.

this is a very large coin, suitable for ring in very large sizes. It is possible to reduce the ring to a smaller size, but it will be bulky, uncomfortable to wear, look awful and in addition, when compressed, the metal surface becomes like an “orange peel”. Therefore, only rings with large sizes are made from this coin.

Не совсем понял, за каким чёртом нужно было убивать монету, хотя возможно сумашедший клиент.
Заказчик просто хотел кольцо из своей монеты. В чём его сумашествие? Он прекрасно знал цену монеты, но ему хотелось иметь именно кольцо, а не монету. Для него она ценность не потеряла. Понятное дело, что захотев продать кольцо, цена его будет равна цене лома. Но если продавать не быстро, то стоимость может превышать цену монеты. В общем вариантов разных много, как и разных мнений по этому поводу. Лично моё мнение, если бы я имел это монету - я бы её продолжал иметь и дальше, как монету. Но как говорится - каждому своё..

@@slayerx5591 Почему потерять? Ну так и монету можно потерять, если на то пошло. Я не защищаю желание заказчика испортить монету, но и жалости к монете не испытываю.
