Selena and Demi were best friends at the time this movie was made and came out, and this was already well-known to fans, which was why it was a big deal. Compared to Miley on Hannah Montana, who played a bit more into the girly fantasy of being a popstar, Selena fit a different niche on Disney Channel in Wizards of Waverly Place. Her character wasn't completely a tomboy and did care about her appearance, but had more of a snarky, edgy vibe to her (also Alex Russo was just a much better written character than Miley Stewart, and WOWP was overall a better written (and acted) show than HM). I think some people would think Miley would be the obvious choice for the role of Rosie here, but aside from how booked and busy she was, her and Selena weren't exactly on great terms (also I can't imagine Miley pulling off this role at all, her talents were always in singing over acting). Ironicially compared to this movie if we look at solo careers, during their Disney Channel era, Demi's music was a lot edgier than Selena's - Demi had a lot more rock influence, while Selena was always a pop girl. And it's funny considering now, Miley also has a much grittier tone to her music compared to Selena or Demi.
Tbf Carter’s dad was handed the responsibility of taking care of Rosa out of nowhere. He wasn’t even supposed to look after her, the agency forced it on him because he’s the only person Rosa trusted. From my knowledge it’s the agencies responsibility to handle fake names, backstory etc. it’s also a Disney film and the fish out of water story wouldn’t have worked if they had everything all planned out. No idea why they were just attacking him (while subtly implying that military men are incompetent beings only fit to follow orders) the whole film.
I think its the part where he didn't say anything to Rosie about what she should expect. He didn't even come up with a backstory for her to fall back on. She doesn't know what "normal" is because they didn't prepare her for anything ahead of time. The lack of any preparation at all among the organization and the dad is setting Rosie up for failure.
“The cops are actually there, they’re just doing nothing” they literally were lol 😭😭 they were straight up just chilling in the helicopter that whole time waiting to jump out.
In Carters defense the whole situation was handled horribly. She already barely sees her dad and then he comes home and dumps this random girl on her? This girl gets super popular really quickly and the guy carter likes now likes her. She’s a teenage girl - it’s not that out there that she wouldn’t be the happiest 😂 she didn’t handle it the best but it makes sense
In carter's defense of this plan of replacing Rosie, I would assume the guy would have just taken her after realizing she's not her and then the PPP would have a legit reason to raid and overthrow the dictator because he kidnapped an american child who happens to be the daughter of a federal agent. Or her dad would pull a liam neeson and do everything in his power to get his daughter back and Rosie would still be safe.
«They can’t go for five minutes without trying to tell the audience just for how much better living in america is to anywhere else, even if you’re a princess!” 😂
My sister and I used to watch this all the time lol Probably because our personalities match the characters so well. But it was also really fun growing up and developing more of a political awareness and watching this with her again lol
25:23 Homecoming typically happens in the fall; this is why you'll usually see a homecoming football game involved in depictions of homecoming festivities (as that's American football season). The homecoming dance is usually open to the entire current student body. Homecoming was/is to celebrate the homecoming of school alumni; alumni will sometimes visit during this time. There's also usually a week's worth of events that happen to celebrate. Sidenote: Look up pictures of something called "southern homecoming mum"~~~ I grew up & live in Louisiana. You shouldn't even really be able to see the girls' dresses at homecoming^.^ Prom happens more towards the end of the school year in like spring and is usually for juniors and/or seniors [some schools will have separate proms for 11th & 12th grade] Though, lower grade students can typically attend if their ticket is purchased by an upperclassman as their date. Prom comes from "promenade", and it's kinda like celebrating the students that are becoming "adults" and moving onto their "adult lives", like a debutante ball. Some people just want to be on prom/homecoming court to help pad their college resume; like it's supposed to say you were well liked by your classmates. My niece, who was on various courts with various titles, put them on her college resume cause her small school only really had a few clubs and like a baseball team; she got a few offers from various colleges. My high school was big enough that each large group, like band, would kinda vote in a representative to court from their group; so court wasn't even always the most typical representation of "popular". P.S. some schools ALSO have a winter dance/formal, Valentine's Day dance, and/or Sadie Hawkins dance~~~ My school also had ROTC which would have a Wing Ding. We also had a Ring Ding dance/party that was when seniors got senior rings!~~~
Thanks for the feedback there. I'd really like to do it and I'd say it's definitely one of the next DCOMS we'll do. But, I can't say when because things are a little shaky for us right now - Sam

16:35 I need you guys to know I’m not a stickler for people speaking new languages poorly, but that was comedically bad Spanish, especially from someone of Puerto Rican descent (Demi). She essentially meant to say “Could you show me where the bathroom is, please?” But she said it as “Please where bathroom is?” It’s such a small detail but her speaking different languages was so unnecessary when she speaks them SO badly. Her French later on was pretty tragic too but I don’t speak that as well so 🤷🏽♀️.
This movie holds such a special place in my heart-😭😭 Like- yes, it may be… not the best..😀 But that’s what makes it fun to watch-😭😭 And also just childhood memories 💀😭😭 Thoroughly enjoyed this !! 🙌
Related to your commentary - as loved as the movie Princess Diaries 2 is, one of my major gripes of the film was how pro-monarchy Disney made it. In the book series (admittedly much later than Book 2, as the books didn't just skip several years like the movies did), Mia actually uses a loophole in Genovia's constitution to abolish the monarchy entirely. Her dad (who is still alive in the books) then runs for office and is elected democratically. Disney just ignored all that to make movie Mia a queen, probably because it didn't conflict with the Disney Princess branding that their empire was built on.
Ohhhh no, in this household we do NOT tolerate One And The Same slander. It's a classic! It felt so good to see these two Disney stars who were both rising together and who also grew up together singing a fun song abt being friends... I guess that's why I liked the movie tbh 😂😅
25:40 there is homecoming at the beginning of the school year which is open to all highschool kids usually it’s centered around the “homecoming” football game. Prom is only for juniors and seniors and it’s at the end of the year. Both have kings and queens.
I don’t know why Rosie didn’t just gaslight the mean girls when they showed her the magazine. Like, ‘you really think if I was a real queen I would be here at your school? Wow, how dumb are you?’
25:43 About the homecoming dance, King and Queen were 12th grade, Prince and Princess were 11th grade, Duke and Duchess were 10th grade and Count and Countess were 9th grade.
I genuinely enjoy all of these reactions😄 !!! Disney's PPP movie was one of my favorites growing up😆!!! I only mean these as suggestions, not hopeful obligations😅. Anyways, another great reaction😁👍🏻.

Homecoming (at least at my school) is revolved around the last home football game of the fall season. So it happens every year. Alumni tend to come to the game “HOME-coming” and there is a dance that happens as well. There is a homecoming “court” my school had freshman-junior prince and princess and seniors had homecoming king/queen. Prom is solely a senior thing. Kind of an end of high school celebration. some school do have a junior prom as well for juniors (year 11)
homecoming dance is at the beginning of the school year in the fall, kinda goes along with the homecoming football game (the first home game of the year) and they do the whole king and queen election and then prom is near the end of the school in the spring where they also do a king and queen election for that dance too
1:02:46 this was not filmed the same night as when she first fell in. They planned to hose her down, but she had so much fun the first time, she just jumped back into the pool.
I wanna know how you have a whole country just not marked on any map. Also you can tell they wanted to make this a franchise, they had it all set up for a sitcom or other movies
We had homecoming king and queen AND prom king and queen. Homecoming was in fall and open to all grades, prom only for juniors and seniors. Only seniors would be king/queen (both hoco & prom) but then rest of the grades would make up the court (hoco). And then for both hoco and prom there’d be a junior prince and princess.
Yes we do homecoming court at the beginning of the school year and then we have prom court at the end of the school year but prom is typically only for graduating seniors. My school however didn’t have a prom court we only had Homecoming court
Interesting that in the princess diaries the married in queen was THE queen for yeeeeears after. Also, Im in Canada so we technically have a monarchy and I know a bunch about both the British as well as other monarchy country families but that's not because I *care*, I just get fascinated by obscure things lol 😂
Was I shouted out in the opening joke? Was that me? If so it sounded like an Edgar Allan Poe reference and I particularly love that as a bookseller. If not, still loved it! ❤
My school in central Texas had a homecoming, but it was just a football game and the queen was announced at half-time and there was no dance. Probably because it's kinda a small school so there probably wasn't enough money in the budget to fund both a homecoming dance and prom. It's fun though. We would also have a special pep rally for the whole city to come to instead of just the student body, and we have a founder's day festival and parade the day after. Also, I love your reactions, I always get excited when I see that y'all reacted to a movie that I've watched because you are my favorite reactors.
I went to a high school in a small Tennessee town. We also had our "royal court" be announced during the Homecoming football game and no dance. I doubt that my school could afford a Homecoming dance either, but I also think there was not enough interest to have one. There were people that got excited about prom, but I believe less than half of the juniors and seniors went to it. (I think other schools in the area were similar.) I was surprisingly asked by a friend when I was a sophomore, but I did not go during any year because I was just not interested.
In my HS the King and Queen are usually seniors but they have other court roles that can be voted on for the lower class men, even freshmen. There's Lord and Lady, Duke and Duchess etc
1:04:53 WHAT IS THIS (ONE YEAR LATER SCENE)??? I've seen this movie countless times since 2009 and NEVER Seen it?! It's not on Disney Plus either. WHERE can I find this scene please 🙏?!
I'm really tired of them pretending that rich people don't know how to eat food. They're not aliens nor that daft. But anytime this kinda plot is done they have no idea how to put food in their mouth?! ....but why?!?! They always see "American TV and movies" where they often eat burgers and hot dogs. I'm sorry yall this one apparently is a trigger lol
I’m amused by the idea of this movie, made by a company based in a country that ditched monarchy and became a republic, being pro monarchy propaganda. Like that’s been Disney’s endgame all along. Spend 100 years programming kids to love princesses, then when we least expect it, stage a coup, establish their own country, and install a monarchy of princesses.
I think Carter was expecting her to be quiet and watch what everyone else was doing. If I was in that situation and my job was to blend, I would see what everyone else was doing then copy😭
I don't care that it makes no sense, I still love this movie. Also, I will not accept any One And The Same slander! Fun fact: Originally Selena was cast as Rosie and Demi was cast as Carter. Later they decided to switch their parts and were both happier with the final casting.
So typically, at American high schools, Homcoming is in Octoberish, traditionally aligned with the first football home game (if your school has a team) if it doesn’t, (i went to an all girls school) it's just a dance (welcome back to schoo thingl) open to all grade levels, 9-12. And is typically semi-formal, but not always. Prom is at the end of the year, May. And formal. depending on how big the school is, they can have two. One for Juniors, 11th grade, and one for Seniors, 12th grade. You can only attend those if you are in that grade level or if you are the date for someone in that grade level. (I.e. freshmen can only go to jr. Prom if invited by a jr.) Both can have a 'King' and 'Queen', sometimes there's a 'Court' or 'Princesses and Princes' it just depends on the school, like if there's literally 2,000 kids. Some schools it's important, others could not care less. But campaigns can get competative and you can vote at homecoming or the week leading up to it. There are posters, a nomination process. Its a whole thing.
Homecoming Queen & King is usually not as a big of deal as Prom King & Queen - at least in my school - and they are announced at the first football game, not the Homecoming dance. Most of the time it's one of the footballers and/or cheerleaders who are crowned. It would have more sense if they were fighting for the title of Prom Queen - because no one really remembers the Homecoming Queen as it happens at the beginning of school, but more people remember their Prom and who was Queen and King at that dance. My Prom King was the class clown that everyone loved, and the Queen was the class president and honor student.
I am seeing a ton of comments about Homecoming. Those comments are mostly accurate. It generally happens in early autumn and is normally associated with football if the school has a team. All the other details greatly depend on the individual school. It is a big thing, but media definitely overblows the importance it has to the average student. My school, in a very small southern town, has a parade and a "royal court" that are voted on. The "royal court" would put up flyers and maybe a couple poster boards during my time. Our parade has both school-related things and "town-realated" things. This post is already going to be long so I won't detail everything in the parade, but there is a different theme every year and each grade competes for the best float. (I think I only went to maybe a dozen sport games over all four years, but I did help decorate floats 3 out of 4 years.) There was never a Homecoming dance from my high school years in the early-mid 00s through when my youngest sibling graduated two years ago. Maybe they had them during 1960-2000, but I never heard about them. The Homecoming " royal court" is announced during the Homecoming football game. Bigger schools might have separate junior and senior proms that happened in the spring, but we only have one from both grades. I was (surprisingly) invited during my sophomore year (10th grade), but I never went to it any year because I just was not interested. This is very uncommon, but I am not sure if we had a "royal court" for prom because I never heard anything about it when I was in school. My school put *some* effort into prom, but they had one (or maybe two) "regular" dances during my first two years of high school and ceased having them to this day as far as I know.
There's a king and queen for homecoming and prom. All of the dances in order are: 1.Homecoming 2. Winter formal 3. Sadie Hawkins 4. Spring Fling 5. Prom
i'm bad with faces (especially men's faces) and i genuienly thought that the popular guy with the bait deal were different people everytime he shows up with a different shirt on
48:18 I just finished reading a book called The DUFF (2010) and I swear I just heard the inspiration for it. DUFF (designated ugly/fat friend) is the less attractive person in a friend's group thats kept around to make the others look hotter. The love/hate romantic interest seems to be taken from this movie too. So... maybe it was more or less a fanfic 😂. Good story but more hooking up than most adult novels I've read.
American here to clear up high school confusion 9 - Freshman 10 - Sophomore 11 - Junior 12 - Senior Most schools have prom for the juniors and seniors and then if you're younger you just have to be invited. Prom is usually in the spring. Some bigger schools have junior and senior exclusive proms, depends on the budget and size more than anything else. Homecoming is usually in the fall and for all the grades. The King and Queen thing is more so just for popularity. It sounds shallow I know, but it just kinda is.
This wasn't a big deal in most American schools. I actually talk to some friends of mine occasionally now that we're adults about the disharmony between the idea and image of American high school in media vs the reality.
i v much appreciate the anti-imperialist (& military industrial complex) critique in this video as an iraqi woman living in the states. also, this film was a staple for teen girls in the early 2010's, & even lead me to make my first youtube channel under the name 'demiselenaalways' lmao.
@ The Movie Budz You two say she wasn't being a brat she tried to order her to around, First thing she said in the room was about how she was going to have that bed removed and for Her to make other sleeping arrangements. I think I sense a odor of brat in those actions.
The king and queen thing is different depending on where in the US you're from and what school you go to. My high school had homecoming king and queen and it was 'kind of' a big deal: homecoming football game, announcing it at halftime, crowning and pictures with a short red carpet thing. But there was never a prom king and queen.
I should also mention that us as the students didn't take it too seriously. It was mainly just a fun thing the school did and the king and queen would get a picture in the newspaper (definitely not the front page, just a small little 'hey, it's the homecoming king and queen')
I’m so glad this got out of copyright jail! Lol. Also I love teen beach movie. It’s weird and goofy but it’s absolutely hilarious and the songs are bops.

Yep, I’m usually pretty nice I like to think but I think if I was in Carter’s situation I’d be a bit ticked off too😅😅😅
In carter's defense of this plan of replacing Rosie, I would assume the guy would have just taken her after realizing she's not her and then the PPP would have a legit reason to raid and overthrow the dictator because he kidnapped an american child who happens to be the daughter of a federal agent. Or her dad would pull a liam neeson and do everything in his power to get his daughter back and Rosie would still be safe.
That’s what I thought Carter was thinking too!! 😂😂😂
«They can’t go for five minutes without trying to tell the audience just for how much better living in america is to anywhere else, even if you’re a princess!”
😂
My sister and I used to watch this all the time lol Probably because our personalities match the characters so well. But it was also really fun growing up and developing more of a political awareness and watching this with her again lol
I watched it purely because I realized I had a crush on Selena Gomez.
You shouldn't even really be able to see the girls' dresses at homecoming^.^
Prom happens more towards the end of the school year in like spring and is usually for juniors and/or seniors [some schools will have separate proms for 11th & 12th grade] Though, lower grade students can typically attend if their ticket is purchased by an upperclassman as their date.
Fun fact: "One in the same" was done by Selena and Demi and the music video used to play on Disney Channel a lot when this movie came out.
So ready for this...after all this time lmao
Hope it was worth the wait 😁 - Sam
Consider this my vote for you to do “Let It Shine” as the next DCOM 🤩🤭
Thanks for the feedback there. I'd really like to do it and I'd say it's definitely one of the next DCOMS we'll do. But, I can't say when because things are a little shaky for us right now - Sam
@@themoviebud1988 Take your time! I understand there are so many factors that go into everything. I’m just glad it’s on the list!
However if I can humor you with another movie to consider (with very limited reactions) is “The Outsiders.” It’s based off a book by the same name that almost every American has to read, and was an early project for many big names. Thank you for considering it and as always look forward to the next upload
Thanks so much for understanding! I hope we can get to it sooner rather than later 😁
You mean the outsiders from like 1984? That might be a bit tougher because the further you go back, the smaller amount of our audience who are still going to be interested. I don’t even feel solid about Pretty Woman right now, and that’s one of the biggest movies ever. Know what I mean? - Sam
@@themoviebud1988 yeah, I can definitely see where you’re coming from. Do whatever feels right for everyone involved. As I said earlier I understand many factors go into movie selections and you can’t do all of them.
On another note for Sam, I’m looking forward to videos with Maria (hopefully I spelled it correctly). A specific recommendation for both of you is the movie “Wonder” based off the book. I would love to add that to the list for your reaction ᵕ̈
Thanks so much for the support and understanding 😊
Yes, that’s how you spell it. Some versions have double I, but she thinks that’s pointless.
I don’t know what that movie is, but I can at least look into it 👍 - Sam
lol finally!! I always thought selena was so mean in this movie she plays a mean character so well LOL! Demi was so pretty here too
i actually always sided with carter lol. Rosie was very annoying to me. But maybe its cause i loved wizards so much and selena was my favorite disney star.
@angietoonz6605 Same, I liked Carter better. As an adult I see both sides though.
@@angietoonz6605 I sided with Rosalinda and selena was my fave, Carter just didn’t explain anything well to her… typical American thinking the foreigner should know everything about their country
Thanks!
I believe that at the time Demi & Selena were besties and wanted to be in a movie together. Disney wasn't going to say no. Shrugging shoulders.
Thank you! We appreciate it so much ❤️
Yeah, that makes sense haha. I’m glad they at least got to make a movie with their best friend at the time 😋 - Sam
0:53 The movie is set there, but they're actually in Puerto Rico
Homecoming is in the fall and is usually tied to a big football game, Prom is the end of year dance in the spring. Each has a king, queen, and court
I just saw the notification and told my sister the ppp had finally been released and the look i just got💀💀💀
You specifically said ppp out loud? Nice work 😂 - Sam
Woulda been funny if they just arrested the mean girls for blackmail and attempted murder
Funny and awesome 😂✌️ - Sam
Why exactly didn't they? 😂
This movie holds such a special place in my heart-😭😭
Like- yes, it may be… not the best..😀
But that’s what makes it fun to watch-😭😭
And also just childhood memories 💀😭😭
Thoroughly enjoyed this !! 🙌
@FluffyB33tch I feel the same way about a certain Bill Cosby movie👻, though for obvious reasons it's now harder to watch😬
20:33 The Budz' reaction to... that has me CRYING 🤣🤣
i cant believe i know this movie like line by line, and ive NEVER KNOWN THERE WAS A "ONE YEAR LATER" SCENE. take my PPP card away from me please.
Me neither… I’m so confused where it came up
Glad you finally got this one through "customs"!! Thanks, Budz!!
I don’t know why Rosie didn’t just gaslight the mean girls when they showed her the magazine. Like, ‘you really think if I was a real queen I would be here at your school? Wow, how dumb are you?’
Gaslight gatekeep girlboss
25:43 About the homecoming dance, King and Queen were 12th grade, Prince and Princess were 11th grade, Duke and Duchess were 10th grade and Count and Countess were 9th grade.
I genuinely enjoy all of these reactions😄 !!! Disney's PPP movie was one of my favorites growing up😆!!! I don't know if they look at any suggestions in the comments, but a few other movies with a similar nature (in my personal opinion) would be, "Aquamarine"🧜🏻♀, "A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song"🎶, "Another Cinderella Story"💃🏻, "The Luck of the Irish"🍀, "Ice Princess"⛸, "Invisible Sister"👻, "Fame 2009"🗽, and "Nancy Drew 2007"🔍. I only mean these as suggestions, not hopeful obligations😅. Anyways, another great reaction😁👍🏻.
honestly the other cinderella remakes would be so great to watch! especially with Selena Gomez, Lucy Hale, and Sophia carson (from Descendants) In my opinion these were the best of the cinderella modern takes (i know you've already reacted to Selena's cinderella story but the others would be amazing!)
I want them to react to aquamarine SO BAD!!! like it’s truly a lovely quirky summer movie about friendship.
Just stopping to comment how much I appreciate the Brooklyn 99 reference for Rosa 😂❤
Homecoming is huge in the US. It’s one of those things that tourists experience here and say “it’s like a movie” because it’s like the movies.
45:00 What do you mean it's not a good song? Selena and Demi sang it together it's called "One and the Same" I love it 😭
RIGHT?! I ❤ that song!! 😢😢😢
As a fan of Demi and Selena, this movie was everything when I was a kid ❤😂
Same!
Me too!! 😊🥰🩷
Disney's "Descendants" plz? U guys are really gonna like it. All 3 movies in the franchise are on the verge of being iconic. RIP Cameron Boyce.
Excuse me, did you say ON THE VERGE of being iconic?! My guy, imo the Descendants movie series IS iconic 😂🥰🩷 but yeah, RIP Cameron Boyce 😢💔
When a kid is crowned, there’s an adult or group of adults who rule in their place. That’s called a regency.
Thanks for the info 😊 - Sam
Interesting that in the princess diaries the married in queen was THE queen for yeeeeears after. Also, Im in Canada so we technically have a monarchy and I know a bunch about both the British as well as other monarchy country families but that's not because I *care*, I just get fascinated by obscure things lol 😂
Was I shouted out in the opening joke? Was that me? If so it sounded like an Edgar Allan Poe reference and I particularly love that as a bookseller. If not, still loved it! ❤
I believe so, yeah haha. Telltale heart 😂 - Sam
So happy all your hard work paid off. Thanks guys! ❤❤❤
Also your foot is the length of your forearm.
@@gigglebuggy 😂😂😂
I’m amused by the idea of this movie, made by a company based in a country that ditched monarchy and became a republic, being pro monarchy propaganda. Like that’s been Disney’s endgame all along. Spend 100 years programming kids to love princesses, then when we least expect it, stage a coup, establish their own country, and install a monarchy of princesses.
12:28 thank you, Steph... I'm one of those Rosas around the world 😂
33:50 fun fact: thats not Demi! Its a stunt double!
All these years I never knew there was an after credits scene
I think Carter was expecting her to be quiet and watch what everyone else was doing. If I was in that situation and my job was to blend, I would see what everyone else was doing then copy😭
I love how you guys went from, "Eh, the dad seems like a cool guy," to "Wow, this dad is a total dumbass!" lol
For the record: jail and paper bag in Spanish are nowhere close to the same word.
Wow that’s crazy, I don’t remember that last part after the “One Year Later”. You learn something new everyday 😂.
I don't care that it makes no sense, I still love this movie. Also, I will not accept any One And The Same slander!
Fun fact: Originally Selena was cast as Rosie and Demi was cast as Carter. Later they decided to switch their parts and were both happier with the final casting.
YAY you were able to post it!!
Wait her dress was stuck in the car door of a convertible with the top down... just reach in and turn the lock??
Prom if invited by a jr.)
Both can have a 'King' and 'Queen', sometimes there's a 'Court' or 'Princesses and Princes' it just depends on the school, like if there's literally 2,000 kids.
All of the dances in order are:
1.Homecoming
2. Winter formal
3. Sadie Hawkins
4. Spring Fling
5. Prom
i'm bad with faces (especially men's faces) and i genuienly thought that the popular guy with the bait deal were different people everytime he shows up with a different shirt on
48:18 I just finished reading a book called The DUFF (2010) and I swear I just heard the inspiration for it.
Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, PLEASE!
25:04 freshman’s and sophomores can’t go to prom unless a junior or senior ask them
Funny as hell reaction, couldn’t stop laughing at your faces cringing to the scenes😂😂😅 Demi and selena were adorable❤
American here to clear up high school confusion
9 - Freshman
10 - Sophomore
11 - Junior
12 - Senior
Most schools have prom for the juniors and seniors and then if you're younger you just have to be invited.
Has anybody else never seen that ending? like...in south america the movie ends right after the coronation, we never get the one year later thing
same in France
Same in the UK. That bit in this video was surreal to me actually!
This wasn't a big deal in most American schools. I actually talk to some friends of mine occasionally now that we're adults about the disharmony between the idea and image of American high school in media vs the reality.
"Por favor, donde esta el bano" is "Please, where is the bathroom" not "Can i was your restroom"
This movie is a major guilty pleasure of mine, it's so silly but I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I'm so happy you guys watched it!
Yeah me too 😅🩷
definitely let it shine next, it is a super underrated movie very good songs! great vids per usual!
They're back again!!!❤
Sort of. This video has been trapped in copyright jail for a month 😅 - Sam
Set in Louisiana, but filmed in Puerto Rico.
Edit: 55:03 hey, is that Naomi Scott?
i v much appreciate the anti-imperialist (& military industrial complex) critique in this video as an iraqi woman living in the states. also, this film was a staple for teen girls in the early 2010's, & even lead me to make my first youtube channel under the name 'demiselenaalways' lmao.
Glad you appreciated it 😊 - Sam
@ The Movie Budz You two say she wasn't being a brat she tried to order her to around, First thing she said in the room was about how she was going to have that bed removed and for Her to make other sleeping arrangements. I think I sense a odor of brat in those actions.
Maybe it's because I didn't sleep much last night, but I really got a kick out of the Tell-Tale Heart reference in the intro tbh
Ah- back when Selena and Demi used to be bffs and everything was right with the world :’)
39:49 franchise owned food establishment managers 😑 fuck subway lmao i had to close the store by myself on my second day
Loved this reaction guys 😊
The king and queen thing is different depending on where in the US you're from and what school you go to. My high school had homecoming king and queen and it was 'kind of' a big deal: homecoming football game, announcing it at halftime, crowning and pictures with a short red carpet thing. But there was never a prom king and queen.
I should also mention that us as the students didn't take it too seriously. It was mainly just a fun thing the school did and the king and queen would get a picture in the newspaper (definitely not the front page, just a small little 'hey, it's the homecoming king and queen')
For my high school we have homecoming king and queen for every grade.
lovely vid ! also im waiting for the teen beach movie SO EAGERLY, love it and already know this reaction video is gonna be a top-tier one
I´m loving the Poe reference in the intro
I’m so glad this got out of copyright jail! Lol.
Also I love teen beach movie. It’s weird and goofy but it’s absolutely hilarious and the songs are bops.
Best/worst Prince & The Pauper adaptation: 2000's Model Behavior^.^
Tho, I do really miss the DCOMs that I grew up with, like Horse Sense, which were believable and presented problems that kids could deal with. I, honestly, feel like some DCOMs prepped me for certain subjects/situations growing up. And Horse Sense's sequel Jumping Ship might've been a little more fantastical but it had legit responses to things like guns; the main characters were presented with bad guys that had guns and were legit worried they might be shot!~ (I would like you guys to react to these two movies one day, cause I think they're actually good movies. Also, the sequel one, Jumping Ship, takes place in Australia^.^)
Maybe those at her original placement could've orepared her more, but she said she only trusted the major. He, then, was unprepared and ordered to take her last minute.
36:02 dont worry. Its just the same strike, 4 different angles
the bus driver was in american horror story sometimes
Fun fac:t Im Savkha the girl with the honorific mention in the extras of this movie xD
