    The filter is not completly tight and sealed inside, should it? You can move the filter around inside, is it a bad one I got? Or are yours the same?

    The replacement filter is not very easy to buy! They should produce a lot of filters if we are to change it yearly!

      Yes, it's been really upsetting. I had to buy my new one from a different dealer, but it took months of searching on the internet to find it. It's a Philips filter, but Philips itself didn't have any for more than 6 months and WEREN'T ABLE TO TELL ME WHEN THEY WOULD BE IN STOCK! In-CRED-Ible!

    Thanks for showing how to clean the filter. Tried to clean mine and realised the plastic wrap is still on the filter. Perhaps that's why my dust problem hasn't gone away.

    How does this clean the air? cause when i use it the purifier seems to be blowing the air out of it not in any explination?

    Best ever purifier but did anyone have a problem opening the bottom? ours seems to be stuck... Can't get it open to clean it... any magic tricks?

    Just plugged mine in to the living room which has 2 dogs running around in it and I only just hoovered, but it says air is optimal as in blue light, seems strange.

      Hi Umayr, thanks for your interest! On this device there's a filter replacement indicator that lights up red when the filter needs to be replaced. You can read a little more about this on page 7 of the uer manual; to.philips/6059MfsPc.
      Generally the filters should be replaces every 12 months, but this could depend on the usage of the device.

    I recently purchased the ac0850/20 model. Is there a proper way to put the filter? Or the top and bottom are the same interchangeable?

    I got severe headeache for 4 days after using this air purifier for 2 nights. It’s placed in the bedroom beside my bed, room is about 13sqm. So I’m wondering if I should return the product. I have allergy asthma that’s why I bought it.

      I’m living in Sweden. I just got the product last monday and used it that night. I haven’t had headache before using it and what’s worst was that taking paracetamol doesn’t help for the headache. Stopped using it after 2 nights and my headache subside after 2 days of not using it.

      From experience I can confirm this is effective at removing particulates from the air but won’t remove farts

      Hi Edona, thanks for your interest! The purpose of the Air Purrifier is to clean the air, and to improve the quality of the air indoors and get cleaner air with Philips True HEPA filter that removes impurities like mold spores, pollen and pet dander.

    How do I set this product to activate based on the sensor? I can't figure it out

      Hi Marcus, thank you for reaching out. It's not possible to set up the device like this without an external sensor. The sensor on the device can only be used when the device is activated. The sensor one the device is more suited to adjust the airflow. If you want to set up a routine that activates the device, we recommend that you set it up with an external sensor that actives the device. Hope this helps.

      Hi, thanks for your comment. The red light indicator is designed to alert you when it's time to check the filter or when there is an issue with the air quality sensor. Since you've mentioned that the filter is new, the red light could be indicating that the filter reset procedure has not been completed, or there may be an issue with the air quality sensor. To resolve this, please ensure that you’ve reset the filter indicator after installing the new filter. This can usually be done by pressing and holding the main button for a few seconds until the light stops flashing. Additionally, it's important to regularly clean the air quality sensor with a dry cloth to ensure accurate readings. If the issue persists after these steps, please consult the user manual for troubleshooting or contact our customer support team through one of our social media channels, or the support page on our website, for further assistance. We’re here to ensure your air purifier operates smoothly and efficiently.

    Damn it. I’ve done it wrong. Had this running 6 months with no cleaning, still running fine though but i guess i know what to do next weekend.

    Hello, the Hong Kong model says it can use Air+ app, but I’ve tried pressing the button for 3 seconds it doesn’t blink to connect the WiFi…

      @@PhilipsHomeLivingyes I do have a 2.4Ghz WiFi, the problem is I tried a few times pressing the button for over 3 seconds but it won’t blink, so it doesn’t search my WiFi

      Wipe the surface of the filter with a soft wet cloth or clean the surface of the filter with a vacuum cleaner

      I have another question, I think there's an error air quality categorization. The air+ app information sheet states that the air quality based on PM2.5 concentration is as follows:
      Good (blue) 1-12
      Fair (blue violet) 13-35
      Poor (violet red) 36-55
      Very poor (red) >55
      Are these figures accurate? Because when my device sensor reads 20, the app and the device still shows good air quality (blue) while it should be showing fair (blue violet) and when the sensor reads 52 it shows fair air quality (blue violet) while is should be showing poor air quality (red violet). Is there any explanation for this?

      Did you press the mode switch button for 3 seconds to reset the timer?... see video 1min 11sec (1'11") in.
