- His Hero Is Gone playing at WMUC at University of Maryland on June 26, 1997.
I don't remember who filmed this, so if you let me know in the comments I'd be happy to give credit.
Paul Burdette - one of the best fucking drummers.
Ever since I got the Deathreat tape it said Paul and skins, like drumming skins. I still in my mind think of him as simply Paul Skins.
@@jombiejuss Paul Ages Show!
Doug Eddy lol yea I remember that one too.
Runs Dry EP 🔨 🔨 🔨
@@jombiejuss Wait Todd was on drums for Deathreat though?
I love the energy.

A couple notes on this great show: Monuments to Thieves wouldn't be released until the fall of this same year, but apparently they hadn't even finished writing the songs! I counted at least a few times (Sin & Vice, Like Weeds, The Unwanted Child among them) where clearly they hadn't yet worked out the lyrics. And there are some slightly different drum fills from Paul on a few of the unfinished Monuments songs. Lastly, there's a killer transition from The Mess directly into Like Weeds, I don't think they continued to do this at shows after Monuments was released (but please correct me if I'm wrong about that).
To anyone reading this, if you've never gone through a show or an album of one of your favorite bands that was uploaded to UA-cam that doesn't have timestamps in the comments or description...I highly recommend doing it. Not only does it get you intimately acquainted with that particular show/album, it brings up really good memories, and contributes to someone else maybe getting to enjoy the upload in a different way. Thanks to @Evan Merkle for requesting the set list and reminding me how fun it is to do this!
Not one person is moshing. We need to return to those days
