sHOoKeTh nice to know that you’ve been there 8 times! I’m thinking about it next May for our honeymoon. Please give me some infos at Kaofin.saeteun@gmail.com thanks!!!
I’ve been to TCI 3 times and it’s my most favorite place on the planet!!!!! I agree with most of you about this “DON’T DO” List. It’s a bunch of BS. The conch is WONDERFUL! We took a cruise aboard the ISLAND VIBE to the Iguana Island. The guys gave us an education on conch, while preparing conch salad for lunch for us. I always go shopping when I go to TCI. I always Stop by Jai’s Jewelry Store. Last time I was there, I bought the new BOLD watch by Movado. It was cheaper there that in the states. GO! Have a GREAT TIME!
We do have Farms here the Turks and Caicos Islands is over 40 Islands and Cays, so don't forget the other islands. Providenciales is not the Turks and Caicos it is just one Island that's in the country.
@@Violet_Lotus_ Yes we do have local bananas that grows here, we also have Corn, different kinds of potatoes, pumpkin, calaloo, green Onions, ghost pepper and are local fruits like Sugar Apple, guavas, guinaps, sapodillas, wild cherries, amen, sea grapes a cross breed lime that looks the size of an orange that we call bow sour. There's alot just be sure to visit North and Middle Caicos. 😊
I was born here in the TCI and traveled the world extensively. This video is very informative many parts of it is simply untrue. Many of the Islands have deep water ports that accommodate daily imports from around the world mainly the USA. The conch is a favorite here and it harvesting is controlled by local regulations and CITES. We also have a conch farm on the Island of Providenciales. Please do us all a favor and delete this video.
@@zillahs I mean yeah I guess it is but sometimes it can get really boring because when your a teen you barely have anything to do...But it's awesome for vacation!😁
I lived here when all that you see now was a dream! Just as it was and still is a dream I recommend you not miss. Adding a journey to The Turks & Caicos will travel with you again and again!! Say Hello to Jo Jo. He might join you for a swim!!
December was not crowded and the temperate was great around 80 degrees. this video is a bit off. Drank the water at the resort with no problems. July is really hot compared to December.
This list is pretty accurate but the taxi situation needs to be explained, We're from here. The taxi fair can be pricey yes, but that depends on how far your travelling to your destination. Taxi fees are also listed within the taxi up front hanging from the rear view mirror. It's 7 per person at the minimum distance. Also yes, things can be a bit pricey due to the duties so if your going to shop for groceries, shop smart. Most stores have sales where you can get discounted items. Also we do agree with the list when it comes to conch. It's delicious! But at the same time, the number of conch populations within the TCI and the Bahamas have drastically dropped because of the rate of consumption but locals and tourists alike. The world's only conch farm was here in the TCI but got destroyed in the most recent Hurricane Irma back in 2017. It hasn't been rebuilt since and that may be because it was a privately owned business. The government should consider reopening the farm and placing a restriction on conch by making it seasonal so the population can increase.
I am hoping Club Med will have a list of how much it costs to go to "The Saltmills" shopping center and to Hemingway's restaurant. Those are about the only places we will have time to go.
And the busy beach vid in front of the one and only all inclusive hotel...come on, people. We have 250 miles of EMPTY beaches on 40 islands out of which only 8 are inhabited. You are showing us totally in the wrong light!!!
Most of your list is checked off. I saw the Conch farm with over 3 million conchs growing there, sorry, but this is something I am looking forward to having! Cracked Conch/Conch Fritters!!!! YES

I found grand turk horrifying beyond the Port/Margaritaville area. We took a conch tour & I was dismayed at the rundown housing, abandoned properties & trash strewn everywhere. With $ from Britain & Tourism -why not clean they place up? I recommended the conch/lunch/beach excursion with Brandon as a driver - he really watched over us Mardi Gras Passenger. Several passengers were robbed in the Margaritaville area & OMG the donkey 💩 was everywhere! A beautiful wild chestnut horse bolted in front of our bus = We jokingly say we took a walk on the "wild side" to contribute to Turks financial stability.
I strongly advise to you to stop telling false information. Lobster season starts August 1st to March 31st. and turks and caicos doesn't have taxi =-= that's why they have stores that let your rent a car. and you can eat the conch, conch in the tci is well farmed, where do you even get these false information?! people don't really go bird watching, but okay....
We are there every year. This clown has no idea of what his little brother is telling him as surely this cannot be an adult. Conch farming is very important there. Wow, don't eat the lobster when it is out of season. I am embarrassed by this dribble.
The conch population isn't the only thing in decline in recent years. Google "Mass animal deaths 2018". The insect population is down by over 75%, everything is dying, including trees. And we have geoengineering to thank for that. #WeDoNotConsent
