Vacations are all about getting some much-needed rest and relaxation. That’s why we decided to make your trip to Turks and Caicos hassle-free by compiling this list of things NOT to do during your stay so your vacation is memorable.
    1. Don’t Forget Coral-Safe Sunscreen
If you plan on participating in water excursions, many of them won’t allow you to join if you’re not equipped with coral-safe sunscreen. This special type of sunscreen will not only protect your skin from harmful UV rays, but it will protect Turks and Caicos’ coral reefs, too.
    2. Don’t Drink the Tap Water
The tap water is safe to drink, but many people suggest you avoid it at all costs. The piped water in the hotels originates from reverse osmosis desalination. It usually doesn’t taste very good...
    3. Don’t Be Surprised at Your Cab Fare
Before hopping into a cab, it’s always best to negotiate the rate upfront so you’re not hit with any hidden surprises. All drivers will also charge you per person.
    4. Don’t Expect to Eat Lobster Off-Season
August 25th through April 1st is the time when lobsters are in season. It’s illegal for lobsters to be caught during the off-season, so you won’t even find them offered on restaurant menus.
    5. Don’t Try to Walk Everywhere
The scenery is so gorgeous, you’ll definitely feel the urge to walk around the islands and explore. But with the blistering heat and many attractions spread out miles apart from each other, use a taxi cab or a bicycle .
    6. Don’t Look for a Deal
This Caribbean nation is very expensive. They don’t have a natural harbor, so large ships aren’t able to import goods, and the land isn’t suitable for crops. This makes pricing outrageous, from the food in the restaurants to the groceries in the stores.
    7. Don’t Forget Insect Repellent
Make sure you pack a strong insect repellant to protect you from various critters, especially mosquitos. Sea Lice and jellyfish repellant will also come in handy. If you forget to include these items in your luggage, you’ll be looking to pay 4 times what you would’ve paid at home.
    8. Don’t Eat the Conch
Turks and Caicos is known for its conch - a tropical mollusk that can be eaten in a variety of ways. But sadly, the population of this delicacy has declined significantly in recent years. You can do your part in saving this species of marine life by skipping out on conch cuisine entirely.
    9. Don’t Visit During December
December is the islands’ busiest time of the year. If you want to cut down on your travel costs, consider visiting in July. This is when rates drop by close to 40%, and you’ll have less tourists to deal with.
    10. Don’t Forget to Go Bird Watching
You can’t visit the islands without checking out the wildlife. Turks and Caicos is full of marshes and salt ponds that are the homes to over 170 species of birds,
Where do you want to know what not to do in next?

I’ve been to TCI 3 times and it’s my most favorite place on the planet!!!!! I agree with most of you about this “DON’T DO” List.
It’s a bunch of BS. The conch is WONDERFUL! We took a cruise aboard the ISLAND VIBE to the Iguana Island. The guys gave
us an education on conch, while preparing conch salad for lunch for us. I always go shopping when I go to TCI. I always
Stop by Jai’s Jewelry Store. Last time I was there, I bought the new BOLD watch by Movado. It was cheaper there that
in the states. GO! Have a GREAT TIME!

I was born here in the TCI and traveled the world extensively. This video is very informative many parts of it is simply untrue. Many of the Islands have deep water ports that accommodate daily imports from around the world mainly the USA. The conch is a favorite here and it harvesting is controlled by local regulations and CITES. We also have a conch farm on the Island of Providenciales. Please do us all a favor and delete this video.

This list is pretty accurate but the taxi situation needs to be explained, We're from here. The taxi fair can be pricey yes, but that depends on how far your travelling to your destination. Taxi fees are also listed within the taxi up front hanging from the rear view mirror. It's 7 per person at the minimum distance. Also yes, things can be a bit pricey due to the duties so if your going to shop for groceries, shop smart. Most stores have sales where you can get discounted items. Also we do agree with the list when it comes to conch. It's delicious! But at the same time, the number of conch populations within the TCI and the Bahamas have drastically dropped because of the rate of consumption but locals and tourists alike. The world's only conch farm was here in the TCI but got destroyed in the most recent Hurricane Irma back in 2017. It hasn't been rebuilt since and that may be because it was a privately owned business. The government should consider reopening the farm and placing a restriction on conch by making it seasonal so the population can increase.

With $ from Britain & Tourism -why not clean they place up? I recommended the conch/lunch/beach excursion with Brandon as a driver - he really watched over us Mardi Gras Passenger. Several passengers were robbed in the Margaritaville area & OMG the donkey 💩 was everywhere! Don't go to a place where they imprison you for a mistake. Don't give them your money.

We are there every year. This clown has no idea of what his little brother is telling him as surely this cannot be an adult. Conch farming is very important there. Wow, don't eat the lobster when it is out of season. I am embarrassed by this dribble.

I'm embarrassed by your lack of understanding that the correct word is DRIVEL, not dribble.

The Gospel of salvation of our souls: 💜💕💖✨💖❤️📖✝️🕎💡💡❤️❤️💞💕💖❤️💜♥️❤️💕For what I received I passed on to you as of [first importance]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time,

Dear God💗❤️♥️💖💕💕💖💕❤️💞🙏in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the , life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.
