This is a awesome set-up. Im making something similar. Anyway to see that swing gate hinge and latch better. Im doing that collar over the pipe to make hinges. Did you guys use some kind of bearing for the collar to set on to make it swing easier. Thank you again very nice setup 👌
That's a hell of a nice cattle system all under a covered roof too...steel galore, lots of time and effort building that one. You should see my cattle set up...all wood, heavy wood fire rated wood doors for the loading chute...then I built a stout 8' high wood-head-gate $107. of pressure treated wood before wood prices went sky high...built from 1954 Ag design plans. I believe i'm the only cattle rancher in U.S.A. that's using a wood operated headgate...that can hold a 2,000.lb bull.
Thanks you! It's a work in progress. Heck of a lot nicer than what we started out with! I wouldn't want to buy wood right now thats for sure! As long as it works I don't think it matters what it's made of :). We are still not finished with this setup and make improvements every year. The roof and concrete are really nice! No more tromping through muddy pens! It's a trial and error process right now until we find something we really like. Thanks again for watching!
@@rollagranchers2604 Your circular tub chute is stronger and better designed than MFG equipment....most impressive. Texas is dealing with a lot of rain and mud right now...twice as much rain fell this month than normal. I see places near my barn entrance and exits (eaves) that need to be dug-water-routed thick plastic lined- bricked lined and then rubber matted- conveyor belts. If i wanted to i could stand in the mud move for 30 seconds and be up to my knees...the cows are 3" from dragging the bottom of their bellies in mud. My first real mud season ever...so now i know where i need to make major rain drainage and soil improvements.
G'day, nice set up, impressed that you both designed and built it, hats off to you both. Are you in calf? Showed my daughter a video with your daughter and Patrick she was impressed, had a big smile on her face.
Thank you my Husband can literally build anything! We are very happy with how the tub turned out. Hahaha yes I do have a baby bump! We will have another member of the crew soon! Patrick is a favorite here on the Ranch! I will have a video soon of Ana our new bottle calf.
Thanks for show casing our chute! :). Great job! Keep it up!

I have a question for you, what is the material you used to make the panels "solid" in your alley? I love the idea and want to do something similar.
We use plywood for the gate and the green part is actually banner vinyl zip tied on.
We use plywood on the gate and green banner material to block out the alleyway.
Nice set up there!
Thanks Paul!
