Sorry to hear about the problems with the van and hope you find a suitable solution, we can recommend someone who would be able to repair the floor if you can get some compensation, reference to the oven having one shelf you can buy another shelf which is what we did.

We have a lpg gas tank in our van - but it’s getting more and more difficult finding somewhere that sells it - our local filling station hasn’t got any - so whenever I find somewhere that sells lpg, I shall top up. I really hope your van gets sorted soon - so maddening and frustrating. Thanks for a lovely video again - you always cheer me up. 💕💕

I've got the gaslow system its great ..only problem is now a lot of stations are taking it out ..an as you've already seen you get there an the pump is out of order.Non down Cornwall all garages taken it out.There is a small garden centre around camborne that has started selling it.😩😜
Hi Mike, we have seen the LpG is sold out in some parts of the UK typical now we finally had the system installed lol 😂 hopefully they will sort the gas issue out soon especially with the calor situation too XxRR

Big shock on your return to uk for overnight stays is ridiculous in England.
France 🇫🇷 is so well in front with the aires and Acsi sites are a must with great facilities.

Hi Pauline, the LPG has proven much cheaper already but as others are saying it’s getting difficult to find in some parts of the UK which isn’t great…
Campsites are making a fortune at the moment and with all the addition living expenses I wonder how people will afford to use them in future? France has done it right with all the aires and additional car parks/locations set up over there XxRR
We had our floor injected after it went spongy. It didn't affect our warranty. The floor is flat and you wouldn't know it had been done. It is now solid and has been for the last 5 years. We were without the van for 5 days while it was done. So don't rule it out altogether. Good luck on your decision.

Hi guys we had the same problem with the floor our local man fixed it yes a small bump in the floor but after 2 months you would not know I have no problem with it give it ago

Just got a campervan so I'm not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but I seem to have difficulty getting in LPG for my_tank so I've just paid £500 for a diesel heater fitted and piped into the tank... belt and braces etc have you considered that? It works great at 5KW

I filled our MH up for the 1st time a few weeks ago. Had to drive halfway round Devon to find a garage with any 😂... I managed to get the hose stick on the gas fitting and it took 2 staff members to get it off. Lol.

Oh guys! Thats really bloody awful for a new van! We did the delamination kit on our old van. The floor went hard BUT without the carpet it did feel bobbley. Sounds like a bigger job though!
We have a unit in Stockport and have the resin for the delamination. Just need a bag of dowls. But us working on it will void your warranty 😞 But the offer is there. Big love to you all 💜xx

Good video. Don’t forget to fill up with LPG every time you’re passing a filling station in the UK. Also, ensure you get the LPG filling adapters for the various EU countries. 👍💙❤️

@@TheRollingRucks Hi, what made you choose Gaslow over an ordinary Autogas tank?
Autogas fits on the chassis so would either have left the existing system intact or left the locker clear.
Good luck getting the floor sorted. That’s a disgrace, they should replace the van or give you a courtesy van while it’s away.

Yes! A longer video 👍🏼. Sorry to here about the problems with the van. I was thinking of getting the 746 or 747 because I do like the layouts, it’s one of the reasons why I started watching your vids (plus my wife’s Welsh) and I’m trying to get her to fulltime with our 12 yr old 😆. I’ll be watching out for updates on the floor issue, it’s not exactly a faulty cooker that can just be replaced. Speaking of cookers, can you not get an extra wire shelf? Looked like there was room in there 👍🏼
Hi Tony, thank you for your lush comment, the motorhome itself is beautiful that’s why we bought it but it’s full of big issues that we can’t fix hopefully we can get a replacement or something!
Yeah you can get another shelf but has to be ordered via the white label inside the cooker to ensure the correct size arrives XxRR
I totally agree with you on this I will not pay more than £17 a night there are plenty of club CL at between £ 10 to £17 a night moat have electric.
We lii on be a CL site, we can’t believe how they can charge £45 a night it’s just madness! As others have said they will have to reduce at some point XxRR
Haha I had to laugh with the righty tightly. I learned that when I played the violin as a child. Air Fryers are great. I used to have one back in the day when they first came out. That’s a dreadful dilemma to be in guys. I hope you get a solution as we want to be able to meet up again. Keep us all updated, see you in a bit xx
The air fryer is amazing! Have cooked roast potatoes, sausages all sorts in there since getting it! We have sought legal advice so hoping it will be sorted sooner than later! See you in a bit XxRR
Hello you need to fix an external filler for the gas, France and some in UK will not allow you to fill as you are doing.

@@TheRollingRucks it's not as such wrong, but in the past people have endeavoured to take a normal bottle out and use an adapter bought of the Internet, and not knowing how much it has filled, your bottles have an 80% FILL and then it will stop filling for safety. France is very hot on the rules for gas.
Do you tow a small car or have Bikes to get around? Or do you just use the MH to visit the local area?

Good choice guys going for Gaslow. Even though the number of suppliers is dropping in the U.K., ( in Reading where we are there is one left out of 6), it is by far the best option for most of Europe. Western Europe is pretty good, Eastern Europe where we toured late 2021 is really good, almost every other garage sells it!.None in Finland. Regarding the adaptor kit check it is the right kit for the van connection, there are 2 sizes, not the pump connection end. Not many people realise this, we brought the wrong size for our latest MH, had to get the right set sent out to France. Vehicles converted for LPG in Europe have a different vehicle fitting to conversions done in the U.K.

31 litres seems a bit low for 2 new 13kg bottles. The conversion from Kg to litres for propane is Litres= gas bottle weight in Kg x 1.96. Allowing for the fill cut off at 85% you should be able to get 43 litres in from empty. The last few litres can take a while as the fill rate slows down as the bottles near capacity. The propane shortage is the same everywhere. My local ASDA has been out of stock for over 6 weeks now.
Yes when filling it started making a different noise and really didn’t fancy that explosion we were joking about lol we have since put another £8 in to top it up XxRR

I was thinking about you this morning and I remembered that when I had a problem with a former motorhome, I got in touch with the Caravan Club’s legal department who were very helpful. Maybe if you are a member of the CAMC they could at least give some support/advice - just wondering…… 💕

Omg, I really feel for you :( You don't expect to pay out the sort of money you have for a brand new MH and something as fundemental as the flaming floor to be faulty. A cooker or fridge etc yes a pain but the flaming FLOOR!!!! From what you described your only real option is option 1 which is just a nightmare, I hope that the dealership or manufacturers compensate you for the time parted with it for whichever alternative you end up with.

Great informative video 👍 One thing I do notice whilst watching similar videos is that people get really stressed when they return to the UK. Life on the road in France or Spain,or anywhere in fact,
seems so much more relaxed and enjoyable than the UK. This lifestyle is something I’m keen to try right now…my wife not so. I’m 59 years old and just been made redundant (again) ! and I’m sick of lifes hassles in the UK. Our house is paid for so we could buy a nice MH outright and live off the rest, plus our private pensions and then our state pensions in a few years quite comfortably I think. Just got to persuade my wife that it’s doable…problem is I think there’s a stigma about living in a MH. Stay safe and good luck going forward 👍🇬🇧

I’m a recently new subscriber and Ihave just caught up and must say I’ve really enjoyed your content. I know nothing about purchasing motorhomes but if I bought for example a Bike and the frame had a crack in it, I’d expect to be able to take it back and swap it for a new one and let them deal with the old one. You paid for a brand new faultless motorhome not a substandered repaired one! Good luck to you all 🤞

Unfortunately since we said about our floor quite a few have told us about theirs wish has left us feeling deflated hearing that it’s happening to others too, however, we have also heard that the new models have created thicker flooring which tells us that they are aware of this problem…. We will update everyone once we know more XxRR

Hi, sorry to hear your plight. The 9 months business is just to put you off. Thats 8 months 3 weeks parked up in a compound then 1 week to do the job. There is a place in Cannock with a very good reputation called Cannock Resprays, they can do manufacturer warranty repairs. They are used to big jobs, eg crash damage. Burstners had a similar problem with the floors in 2017/2018, the dealers did the repairs here rather than return to factory. Hope this helps.
You are probably right, we can’t believe some of the issues with this motorhome and worried about the damage the leak caused. We had another leak from the sink yesterday which was coming out from outside seals on it! The floor is so sunken you can feel it under the feet even with brand new carpets down now so we do need a resolution asap XxRR

So sorry to hear about the motorhome. We had a auto trail a few years ago, bought from new and had major issues with damp, and structural and manufacturing issues. Managed to reject it after a year under our consumer rights, and receive compensation as well. Vowed to never buy anything from Trigano group. We looked at Roller team last year, but did not decide to go any further as they are part of the same group. I would check the consumer rights act, it really does give the customer power. Also if your motorhome is on finance, black horse will send out an independent assessor to give his view. Might be worth getting an independent view anyway?

Hi Charlie and Stuart been watching and enjoying your videos, very upsetting to hear about the floor in your motorhome and the options you have been given, hopefully will get sorted to your satisfaction and will not take as long as initially you have been given. We have gas low system and have no problems topping up, knowing where you are from and we live in Cardiff we use Morrisons in Cardiff bay about 6miles of M4 junction 33 and follow a4232 and when we head west we use the the petrol station opposite the show ground in Camarthen and never had a problem filling with gas. Agree with you regarding Campsite prices, my husband turns into Victor Meldrew he cannot believe it moments!
We took you advise and visited Bargoed Farm a few weeks ago and had an excellent time , hot tube was great and the food excellent.

Really feel for you guys, our van had to be sent back to Italy within 6 months of us buying it, the ceiling started to bulge inside, luckily we still had a house, and only took 3 months before we got it back, probably because we are living in Belgium, we were pretty cheesed off though, spend a whole ton of money, and get problems!, Air fryer was one of the best things we ever bought for our camper, you won't regret that purchase :)

Nightmare for you around the floor. Be mindful of the heavy Wesr And Tear that the floor is undertaking with the family living in the van full time. At this stage you have only used it for a very long extended holiday and are back due to faults. Do not keep mentioning 'Living in the van Full time' during conversations/ correspondence as many a dealer/manufacture would argue that the build was never for that purpose. As mentioned at this early stage its not a full time but an extended use. You have decided for full repair, under the consumer rights act the dealer THE DEALER has the responsibility to repair, although there is a warranty its the DEALERS responsibility. The dealer may have redress with the manufacture to help resolve the problem but again the buck stops with the DEALER. Yes the DEALER will be given the opportunity to repair but the time must be reasonable. So then as you mention Rejection under the ACT. Its a difficult decision but 9 mths later and the repair is useless and then what do you do. Big decisions, the dealer should put you into a new van full stop.
We were conscious of that, we reported it before we moved in. We will update you all once we have heard back from the dealer/manufacturer XxRR

It seems like they are skimping on thickness for the floor.
Like a lot of companies going with the bare minimum.
But ultimately it shouldn't be a case of use, if done properly it will last.
When I'm replacing floors in houses I always use 22mm flooring, because I don't want to go back.
To be honest, is it all worth it? It seems all stress with things going wrong, especially in other countries too as well. Too much like hard work for me.
We have a caravan and oh my god how and why is the uk ripping everyone off after the last few years weve all had!! … but its not just a few pounds , everything has doubled, none of us will be able to afford a holiday the way things are going, so all these sites that are putting their prices will eventually having to put them back down again x
Hi Dawn, yeah it’s all certainly testing us at the minute, but not everyone gets these problems. The prices are crazy and how do people afford to do it? X
would hope that the maker's would compensate you with a loan van as clearly a manufacturing fault, and also as its your home. I'm planning on buying a MH early next year but it's things like this that make you think whether it's worth the risk. Really hope you come to some satisfactory agreement that you'll be happy with.

Hi Paul, I hope we haven’t put you off, we are enjoying the travel and experience but for obvious reasons we aren’t thrilled with the motorhome problems. Also not every motorhome would bring so many problems either..
kids are on the whole fantastic they have taken to the van life really well, but kids are kids too haha XxRR
Really sad to hear your major problem with your van. Major problem solutions (I’ve experienced paint bubbling) are never ideal if your wanting or needing to use your van. Seems inconsequential against that backdrop, but in case you don’t know - there is a pack of three brass fittings for gas systems that let you use all the various filling opportunities you will find across Europe. You will need them - camping shops and sometimes Amazon have them.

😱 So sorry to hear about the options with the floor. All that outlay for a new van and that’s their solution?? Not good enough I’m afraid! They should replace the van with no extra charge. Otherwise, I think I’d take the money and run, losing my custom forever!
Hopefully, after exposure to the problems on your vlogs, they’ll sort it out in your favour as it doesn’t put them in a very good light, does it? We certainly wouldn’t buy that make or model of motorhome now.

As others have said, have a look at your legal rights or get some advice from a solicitor. This is 10’s of thousands of £’s of your hard earned cash and your MH is not fit for purpose! Everyone expects some niggles but these are proper issues and it’s only a year old! ❣️

Hi guys, really sorry to hear about your van problems, can't say I'm surprised. From what I've learned the hard way caravans/motorhomes are badly made and are not designed for full time living as you and I do. I'm an engineer with facilities so fixing mine is no problem but it should never happen in the first place. As you say they cost a fortune and loose money daily so replacing it with a new one isn't an option nor should you have to. I would get legal advice as your motor home is not fit for purpose and it never was from day 1 to have the problems you have.

Get in there Stu. I loved the Man Butt rant, that's because he is just like me :-) We had an issue with an Adria caravan, it took 7 months to get fixed and it was a constant battle. In the end we got 1K back but was a nightmare and had nothing to make for the channel. The last thing do you end screen 🙂

If the van is under a year I would demand a brand new van or your money back as it was not fit for purpose through no fault of your own 😡 find out what your rights are as a consumer in this situation it’s always best to were you stand legal to better help you get the best outcome possible. Your right about how much people are being charged for holidays in this country now the prices are going up ridiculously high, we normally go to Scotland and rent a cottage in the last week in October and the prices have nearly doubled from £740 for a week to £1200 and nothings changed in the quality of the accommodation it’s exactly the same so how can the price be nearly doubled. No holiday for us this year 😞 Good luck with getting your van fixed if you go with option one hope you don’t have to wait nine months. 😊

The prices have doubled in lots of highland cottages for one reason only, to cash in on folks staying at home. Yes running costs for rental owners have risen sharply in line with other uk costs so you expect annual increase and thats fair but the majority are just taking the P. I do know though that there are many cottage owners who have not increased their prices for a couple of years as they feel they are charging a fair price and are not motivated by greed so its worth taking time to browse many different web sites and directories to try and find them. There are still many good fairly priced gems to be had.
@@rabmcleod3508 totally agree with you a lot are taking the P. It’s the west coast of Scotland we always go to and we love Arisaig and Traigh but all of the prices there have shot up. It’s sad really because all the regular customers are being pushed aside to make way for others who will spend more it’s pure greed.

Hello to you both and the family hope your all well I'm just looking back at your videos and just come across were you start to live in your van with 3 children this is gonna come in very handy for me and hopefully you could give me some helpful tips as I am just about to start my own channel this one this weekend we are campers in a tent but there is gonna be some big changes like you lol I have been subbed with you for a while on my private UA-cam but now this is my channel but with us in a tent can be hard when it comes to winter and vlogging so I have decided to invest in a caravan either end of the year or beginning of next bit due to the cost of living we are thinking of living in the caravan me my wife and our 2 children 10 and coming up to 6 but thinking on being a warden so I can save as my big plan is to get a motorhome and live in it and travel so if you have any helpful tips regarding the children mainly would be really appreciated sorry for the long comment well all the best you take care love from the Ellmers adventures

Hi RR 👋👋Firstly I am so very sorry about the problems you are having, my goodness me that floor issue is just not acceptable surely, you pay so much for a beautiful van and less than a year the floor has to be replaced 🫣🫣, I feel so bad for you, I am praying the dealer can sort something better for you, did they say why the floor is sinking? Was it from the leak?
On a lighter note guys, you will lovvveeee the air fryer I’m sure I am the air fryer queen of Australia 🇦🇺😜😜I have bought over 8 of them 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ 3 for myself and replaced over the years and one each for my kids and family.. I do absolutely everything in them and you will learn too, you won’t need an oven anymore.. You can even get what looks like huge cup cake pans, you can put in bottom so no mess, which I got for my daughter as she don’t clean hers that often 😩😩 so give it all a go, you can do meat, chicken etc, the list is endless, see told ya I’m mad for them, wish I got a commission 🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for putting your video out under such stressful conditions, we are all so sorry and will be waiting for an up date. Try to keep smiling I know it’s hard.

The motorhome is annoying, every day there’s something new the sink was leaking again yesterday and leaked through the seal on the outside of the van 🤔 it’s ridiculous thank you for your continued support XxRR

If new you should reject the van, do not allow an injection. Our floor is being replaced, and other snags , 3 weeks to fix.
We have some years ago sued a dealer after one year they wouldn't fix the problems, one week before the court case they gave us our money back.
Your dealer cannot charge you the new price, call Thier bluff and send a solicitors letter
Thank you for your lush comment and advice. We appreciate all the help we can get, the van has snags that haven’t been sorted since day 1 due to importing items apparently but the floor is simply unacceptable, even with the carpet down the dip in the floor is significant. XxRR
@@TheRollingRucks hi we have a different make but the floor is having to be changed. We threatened legal action as the dealer needed an incentive to carry out the work ie court action. In your situation I would reject as not fit for purpose, and advise dealer you expect minimum financial loss.
A solicitors letter for about £150 should help.
Also 9 months wait is rubbish, that's a dealer speaking not the law.

OMG this s beyond disaster for you. specially as motor home has to go to Italy, if you decide that option. ,it seems they don't want to know as you are hitting a brick wall. really your motor home should be replaced. put it out here if other people got same motorhome from same dealers and if they had issues and how did they have it resolved. I’m gutted by campsite prices at the minute. I’ve been looking at sites in Devon today - I have a 6 month old puppy who isn’t ready for wild camping yet. £85- £120 for 3 nights is average price. I mean, really? And the worst thing ( which can’t be blamed on energy price hikes) is now prices for dogs to stay has also gone up. I saw one site charging £6 per night per dog. You having a laugh???!!! 😡

Oh cr@p. Wouldn’t wish this on anybody but surely it’s a manufacturing fault and they have to sort it one way or another and as it’s your home they need to give you a replacement van? I would seriously go down the route of it’s not fit for purpose and ask for a full replacement new van.

We are having the exact same issues with our floor in a 747 which is the same age. We have been offered the same 3 choices none of which are acceptable as we are also full time at the moment. It’s so stressful. Our dealer didn’t offer what we paid though and said would be reduced for mileage and upgrades as van not in original condition. We have had lithium, more solar, inverter, gas low and awning fitted. It’s so stressful !

Just insist that they supply you with a new one guy's.... Its not acceptable to wait nine months for them to replace the floor on a van that new.... So for me, I'd tell them to replace for new or I'd want my money back, plus compensation for the trouble .... Simple as that.... Also.... I don't thi k it's in their best interest that you make it common knowledge that their vans have these troubles..... They need to be clever about this... The best of luck with it

Something like this happened to me on a brand new motorhome. I spoke to a Barrister friend I new, on his advice I demanded the company replaced the motorhome with one that did not have the fault in it.
DO NOT let them repair it as you lose all you legal rights by doing so. You are protected by the "sale of goods act", the item you have purchased must be "fit for purpose".
I had to get nasty with the company and even get a TV company involved to publish the case but it worked. Six weeks later I took delivery of of a replacement Motorhome.
I also insisted the company did a "call back" on all the motorhomes they had sold, a total of 66 were effected.
Hope this helps. Demand a replacement vehicle and stick to your guns. Just remember unfortunately it is the dealer you have the contract with and all dealings must be through them.
Get an agreement in writing. They will have to refit all the items you have added to the vehicle free of charge.
The sale of goods act in the UK is a very powerful thing designed to protect people like you, use it.

Its pretty disgusting that these manufacturers are just after the customers money are selling these motor homes with various problems they should just give you another van & be done with it it's not you or your family's fault that these problems occur they should thoroughly check their motor home b4 they leave the factory not you order it they get it from manufacturer then sell it to you that's not fair at all you could actually take charge of this yourselves by claiming the warranty what terms did you get 5 years parts & labour ,what you could ask for is you take our van for 9 months give us exactly the same value motor home back until yours is ready with nothing to pay yourselves after all you will in theory be paying for it with diesel & gas so you can use it carrying on with your life after all you paid your money you want your monies worth I would contact a lawyer to see if my sudjestion correct after all why should you for some thing that has broken under warranty.

@@TheRollingRucks hi your right Lynn & Robs motor home has had some issues in my commenting with them they said all new motor homes have teething problems ,sorry I dont agree with that my point is if your paying thousands of pounds for a motor home it should be perfect so you have trouble free holidays & in your families case full time living but be careful though their might be a clause in the warranty that does not allow full time living check the small print on that one.Those dealers are happy to give warranties but realy dont like honouring them if the claim is to costly & also the cheeky Bs ask you to pay money & claim back later you pay for the warranty in the price of your motor home that's how I see it still a great hobby if you dont have any problems . Good luck with what ever you decide ,if I was in your shoes I would find a solicitor talk with him about your rights with the warranty with his backing I would then contact your dealer if your going the 9 months rout & find out the market value of your motor home & inform them you want the same motor home same year & they keep your one with a solicitor behind you that will help if you dont get a solicitor they will just fobb you off cant do what you want but can do it if you pay xyz you dont want that you want a straight swap like for like if not your money back in full & so you can buy a different motor home & they would not want that to happen as they would not want to lose your custom in future ,you definitly dont want to pay for something that's not your fault it's not going to be easy either way but the dealer should be held accountable for the issues with your motor home I have seen some motor homes with 12 years warranties on engine ,gearbox back axle & 5 year warranty for corrosion that was at the NEC this year good luck in your endeavours.

I think that the time for laughing is over and you most definately need to take legal action over this! You purchased a brand new motorhome that should have been faultless and isn't.

that you could get this done, using a 'No Win, No Fee' solicitor.
The van has a definite 'Design Fault'!
You was not told about this before you payed for it and is not your fault.
The dealer is insulting you, telling you what your going to have to suffer, while awaiting the return of your very 'imperfect' van. Was there no offers of financial compensation and a free hotel accommodation offered?
Everything is in your favour so please go for it.
Another suggestion would be for the dealer to send a brand new van to Italy to remedy the 'Design Fault' and GIVE it to you on it's return to the UK.
As I have already said, you should be 'calling the shots' and not them. YOUR about to LOSE your home and a solicitor would have a 'field day' with this case. The video evidence is beyond doubt.

When you bought your motorhomes
When you bought your motorhome, you and the dealer entered into a contract for one year...this is law.
You have the to claim a new replacement motorhome...same model.
Even if the price has increased, that is the dealers problem they have to sort out with the manufacturer. It is NOT you problem. Your contract is with the dealer and the dealer has a contract with the manufactucturer.
You are entitled to a brand new replacement under the warranty.

Dealer will have to be compensated by the manufacturer regarding the price increase.
The problem with that approach is there are no new vans. Orders are taking over a year to complete.

Seek proffesional legal advice. It will be worth the cost of the consultation. Here is my view. I am in the motor trade and see accident repaired cars all the time. I can tell you your van if repaired will never be the same. You will get it back and suffer issue after issue with it. If it came out of the factory like that do you really trust them to do a decent repair? I really feel for you but its time to put a business head on this. You will be constantly lied to and fed a load of B******t and I will bet it will be nearer 18 months than nine before you get it back. Sorry but that is my experience. It is tough but go legal and start again. Good luck.
