That sounds like a meaningful journey! Adopting a stoic mindset can bring a lot of clarity and resilience. How has the experience been for you so far?

How dare you mention stoics in a video about pride and ego?!?

This video has nothing to do with ego! It has everything to do with a strong "inner self." It's simply a "knowing' of ourselves, which naturally reflects our "aura." Haven't you ever been around someone who literally sucks the life out of you, ie. your energy!?? Or, you walk into a room and you can just feel the energy of the crowd! Good, bad, or indifferent, that's not ego! It has everything to do with what we perceive through simple observation of our senses. I'm absolutely a student of stoic living, even at 70 yrs old. I can definitely understand how you may think of stoicism as "egotistical," especially if you are beginning this stoic journey. There is no better life than living a life of stoicism. Of course this is all my opinion after many years of gaining wisdom through all the ups and downs of life. I've had many! With all this said, I wish you much love.....Bev✨️💖

I would argue that the premise of the video, wanting to be perceived in a certain way by the crowds is egotistical and far from the stoic ways. Stoicism encourages channeling your focus inward, not expecting outside reactions or "energy"

@raulpop2306 ....I'm asking you, Where do you find WANT in all this? "Want" is a perception of a desired outcome. I find with experience and great self-awareness that following the practices of the many great philosophers, stoicism becomes automatic. Believe me, I find that it takes time, focus, and the ability to sit alone in "silence" to grow in stoicism. ✨️
