Just for your information, this park will be renov by the Indonesian government because some places looks not good maintenance and old, but i don't know when they renov it. But it's still good for education and recreation for some people when they can't go to all Indonesia region.

I don't know, maybe because it's rare to see foreigner walk around in Indonesia (outside Bali), so they want to take a picture for their memories, actually it can make them happy that in their life they can meet foreign people.
The park was built in 1974.. the main attraction is a show window of the 34 provinces.. displaying their traditional houses .. and their art and cultures (handicrafts, folksongs, dances foods.. etc)..You may also go inside each pavilions to rent their traditional custom clothes to take your picture wearing certain clothes such as wedding clothes, daily clothes etc.. the most popular pavilion among the foreign visitors are West Sumatra, Bali, South Sulawesi and Papua...
9:00 yes it's really a funny incident, I as an Indonesian know very well how Indonesian people appreciate the arrival of tourists to their country, but that may be normal for Indonesian citizens, because in the old city too / wherever if they meet tourists they immediately take pictures with the tourist .. usually done by children 😂

You must visit Mojokerto East Java Indonesia, because there are many tourist attractions, especially in Trowulan, there are many temples from the Majapahit Kingdom and there is also a Patung Budha Tidur/sleeping Buddha statue (the second largest Buddha statue in the world after Bangkok)

For some citizen, it is expensive because every museum and transport, you must spend the money. I think the biggest zoo "Ragunan" In Indonesia is the cheapest cost.

Because in Jakarta, especially on the island of Java, tourists rarely come to amusement parks, it might look interesting to them if local people see foreign tourists. that's my opinion
TMII is hidden gem in Jakarta but its out of date and poor maintenance. After management back to central government several months ago i hope they will do major renovation in all area including museums. Really, TMII show the diversity of Indonesia and very good introduction for tourist who first time visit Indonesia and want to know more about Indonesia. World class renovation i hope will conducted in the future because it show Indonesian culture in one place and will boost visitor to TMII not only local but also international visitors.

Ahhh thats understandable
TMII is hidden gem in Jakarta but its out of date and poor maintenance. After management back to central government several months ago i hope they will do major renovation in all area including museums. Really, TMII show the diversity of Indonesia and very good introduction for tourist who first time visit Indonesia and want to know more about Indonesia. World class renovation i hope will conducted in the future because it show Indonesian culture in one place and will boost visitor to TMII not only local but also international visitors.
when they renovate it we will definitely go there again!
