Black Rosè - The Cult Survivors are easy to deal with if you take them around the Upstairs Of Paradise Plaza and down into the Warehouse. However, they do get stuck in a few places. Notably on the stairs or behind the shelves in the Warehouse. - The Girls you save from Jo are manageable if you have other Survivors along with you that can actually use weapons. I think Kay ( the girl in the Pink whom is in the cutscene with Jo ) is the only Girl out of Jo’s hostages that can actually be given a Weapon, the rest you have to escort. - Overall each Survivor is pretty straight forward to Escort if you know what you’re doing. Some are simply more irritating to Escort than others.
I remember being really unnerved after playing the opening part of the game in the helicopter, just seeing all these people trying to fight off zombies and survive. The guy on the car roof getting eaten alive, the woman pushed off the roof from zombies, and the mall parking lot packed to the brim with the undead. Not to mention this music playing while it’s all happening from afar. It makes it even more disturbing.
Yeah, it was an awesome intro. Very unique and unsettling. I got the same feeling from that intro as I did watching Romero's movies for the first time.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one so shaken by the intro sequence of the game. Really gives gravity to the state of the world in this game. Even as a veteran of things like Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead, when I first fired this up and saw the intro with the mother & daughter, then this intro sequence, there was a lump in my throat all the way through the endings of this game.
Ikr? To me, the theme just screams "Something is very wrong here." You already know it's zombies, but it still makes you unnerved. When you're in the chopper and taking pictures of the survivors succumbing to the zombies, it feels kind of strange being the equivalent of an outsider to the chaos. I was especially mortified at the school bus that was surrounded by zombies. Imagine a bunch of schoolchildren in there, terrified for their lives
I remember thinking about how there was a whole city that was infected, so much more story to experience and Frank never left the mall. I'm glad they didn't pull a resident evil though, and make 1600 games in willamette.

Picture your self sailing high above the town of Willimette as it's being over run. You are safe. But something in the pit of your stomach makes you feel uneasy. Why are these people rioting? Where are the police? Why did the military close off the town? You have to ponder all of this while witnessing the chaos below.
All I been thinking about since the Capcom event. I've been waiting along time for this. These 2 months about to be long as hell. Pre ordered aswell. Bought the digital deluxe edition, no thinking needed. What a moment to be alive. Lets hope the launch goes good.

Im just glad this franchise is finally getting some attention by capcom considering that I have played this franchise a long time ago and even till this day I still continue to play the games and beat them (not 4 though because I wouldn’t say it’s a dead rising game but in my opinion it isn’t a bad game) so it’s truly a joy to see dead rising coming back from the dead. I am also exited for stip0 to break down the remaster apart because I bet you that the remaster will include very interesting stuff for example based on the trailers alone capcom decided to bring back beta models of dead rising onto the remaster.

I seen some ppl talking about censorship but it's hard to tell just yet but from what I've seen it's been minor things. More than likely because it's the first of its kind, this theme really imprinted in me out of all the music in the Dead Rising series. You're left with really no explanation initially and before you know it, you see what looks like riots and "People" out of control. Floods of people out of control. I mean we know it's zombies, but the introduction to them through this beginning segment really set the unsettling tone for us gamers and what we are about to be in. That's the best word. Unsettling. Great build up. If I'll remember anything in dead rising, it's this segment.

There's something that, in it's basic repetetive beats, really speaks to Frank as a person. He isn't a usual guy, he's desperate for the story and it's why I like him so much. DR1 Frank isn't a hero. He's a man stuck in a situation looking to, not only understand what's going on, but to advance his career. It's why I think 1 is superior to 2DLC and 4. Frank West is an amazing protagonist in DR1 because of his situation, not because of his heroics or ability.

Such a pity they just completely removed that starting mission from the remake completely, including the music. It has that proper 80's or 90's gritty theme tune to it, the wailing guitar and pad swells just sound so authentic. It stuck with me in that first part of the game, just snapping photos of zombies and people dying from the helicopter, witnessing people falling from a roof and a gas station exploding taking all of the zombies with it, it must be one of the most striking openings to a game surely!
