- We had a standing invitation to visit this church and, on May 6, 2018, we made the long journey to a village called Seven (7). Little did we know that there is a thriving community of believers here and their sweet spirit and genuine worship of our Lord made our day memorable forever.
This is Hope Baptist Church in the village of Seven, led by pastor Ndaona. It is definitely an amazing church with beautiful people whom we can call our brothers and sisters. Their worship service was genuine and full of life, exactly how an African church should be.
We look forward to visit them again soon!

As a missionary ministry working with churches in Zambia, it is always a delight to see the zeal of the worship here in Africa, especially from the very young.
When i see our brothers and sisters i feel the holy spirits....but wht paints my heart is seeing the skyscraper High church with no holy spirit in it claiming them to be the most genuine church

I’m so happy to know that they are living in horrible conditions were they get hungry and can’t get clean water and will go to Heaven and have an amazing life there :)
I wouldn't say they are living in horrible conditions; yes, they are poor and yes they lack a lot of things we may consider important, but they are clean and they make do with the little they have. True, they didn't use to have access to clean water, but now they do. I've seen God providing them with food, water and many other things. Above all, yes, they know they're going to Heaven so this is why they're happy! And they do have many reasons to be happy!

I wish I could find a church service in the US that is this spiritual. All I can find are dry dead churches, most act like they're just going through the motions thinking about how to make it home in time for kickoff.
I'm sorry for the bad experiences. I am sure there are some that are spiritual and Spirit-filled and I pray you find them.

They say church services in Africa often last for 4-5 hours yet they are never boring.
Well, I don't think we can generalize. Africa is huge and there are many cultures and way to do church across the continent. I've been in church services that last 4 hours but most of them are shorter, 2 maybe 3 hours. The worship time is certainly almost never boring, but other parts of the service can be. I guess it depends on the people of the church and the leadership.

There are many explanations, one of them is that poor people are usually more aware of their dependency on God. Almost always, when you God is all you've got, you realize He's all you need. Inner peace is not a result of anything material, but of a strong and real relationship to the Creator.
