Like it or not ...fans go to games to witness first hand the emotional, physical competitiveness of the most passionate individuals....banning players and coaches from the field of play is an absurdity.....points system and fines are best deterrent that keeps teams intact for the season....however when a player or coach is deemed a recidivist and has totaled 10 points than he should then be dealt with accordingly and taken out of the game for the whole next season. Having competitors dropping in and out of the comp destroys the viability of the whole team in a lot of cases. Why should other team members suffer because of what most of the time is quite an accidental shot by a leading member....if I was Salmon and felt offended I'd take it up with Ricky...problem solved..shouldnt interfere with the game...

Ricky is an adult and a football coach. He should've just stayed quiet and said nothing. Nobody else needed to know about the personal issue with Salmon, he's a leader for a young group of men who look up to him as coach and mentor. It also shows he's refused to learn from his previous mistakes having being fined for 120k. NRL needs to show leadership.

this video and or my comments had nothing to do with his foundation or about anything to do with what struggles he and many others have had in life. It was about the coach and supposed adult in the room not being able to control himself in a media event.
Ok, the issues of the history of events might be a little clearer now and I am in no way condoning or letting slide any terrible and or disgusting comment that kids make or what ever happened between his kid all those years ago. Although I am guessing now with a little more insight of what the altercation was about. I might be a little more understanding of why he had those thoughts.
My point is that Ricky is the coach and as I said should be the adult in the room and a professional. I’m pretty sure he is one of the leading coaches in the fines department for not being able to cop it on the chin. Normally it’s him playing the victim card in regards to refs calls when his team losses.
Although this is slightly different, the underlying fact that he is a 55 year old man that should be able to control his emotions for a 5 minute press conference is the fact of what my comment was addressing. Nothing else!
I wish him, his entire family and foundation nothing but happiness and success.
