The Ashlee Simpson lip synch controversy is a little more complicated than described. This was their second song on the show, and the band started playing the second song, but the recorded vocal that started was still for the first song. Whoever was running the recorded vocal forgot to change songs.

To be fair I’ve always heard that her original transformers audition required Megan Fox to go to Michael Bays house alone and wash his car in a bikini while he videotaped it. That sounds extreme, but knowing Michael Bay, I wouldn’t put it past him, and if it actually is true, then I don’t blame her for badmouthing him at all.

Over-the-top compliments like Vin's have a time and place. No, I wouldn't mind having someone say I was incredibly attractive, though happily married for 28 years. But I would NOT want that kind of language while I was working (as a wedding minister - can you imagine someone standing up at a wedding and complimenting the minister, not the bride?!?). I can't tell you a place where it'd be fine, but I'm guessing a bar/pub situation would be best.

As a Mexican-American, I understand what Kelly Osbourne was trying to say. It just came out wrong. But she's now using Ozempic to lose weight. I'm a diabetic and she's and others vain people who want to lose weight quickly are taking the drug away from diabetics. Unless she was diagnosed with diabetes, I find her use of the drug to be vile. Btw, I am also diabetic, so when I saw an interview of her talking about how wonderful it was using Ozempic, that pissed me off. 😠

With freedom of speech there’s also a thing called responsibility. A lot of people fail to understand that part. The government may not throw you in jail because you say something that’s offensive but that doesn’t mean you will not suffer consequences from those who are offended even if they were being too sensitive.
I’m black American and when I grew up some family members will say some racially derogatory things about other races. At the time it meant nothing to me but as I got older (way before all these super sensitive extra offended people came along), I realize their remarks were extremely bigoted. I’m sure if the races that they had the negative comments about heard it way back then, they definitely would have been offended.
Wayback in the day, celebrities didn’t runoff at the mouth like they do now. That doesn’t mean they were perfect or that they loved everybody. They didn’t. They just exercised decorum in most cases which is missing with celebrities today.

I'll explain the "Blood transfusion" thing with Lance. He did 2 things. EPO which causes your body to produce more red blood cells and blood doping which is where they remove 4 units of blood several weeks before a competiton. Then the red blood cells are seperated out and stored. Your body will replenish those red blood cells over the next few weeks. Then right before the competion the stored red blood cells are injected back into the athletes blood stream. Having a higher red blood cell count allows your blood to carry more oxygen and give you insanely higher cardio and recovery time.

Amy Schumer is the antithesis of humor.
And Megan Fox was treated horribly on the set of Transformers. Michael Bay was a creep and sexualized her when she wanted a real role. He fired her to punish her for revealing his bad behavior. Look into Megan's experience as an actress growing up. She's been sexualized since she was an underage teenager. Poor girl. 😢 When you're type cast in those roles because of the way you look, you have no control over which roles you're accepted into. Type cast as the "sexy, hot chick" all the time got on her nerves so she took a break to do other movies.

Blood transfusions are a very easy way to cheat. Basically the donated blood is supercharged with tons of extra oxygen which gets rid of the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles. The blood is removed few hours later as a “donation” to the blood bank. It’s completely untraceable as people often don’t do consecutive marathons in one day. It’s one reason all athletes are blood tested before and after races nowadays. Blood transfusions increases the amount of red blood cells a person has so a simple complete blood count can easily figure out who is cheating. Wrestlers have to undergo weekly urinalysis to check for drugs and steroid use with a monthly blood test. It’s the same for every athlete during seasons always before and after games or matches.

I have often thought it must be a bit of a double-edged sword to be a celebrity. On the one hand, they are living out their dreams. Lives most of us can only imagine. But they also do it under the scrutiny of the public. It's worse now a days, then it was decades ago. Now everyone, or most people, have cell phones. They can take pics and videos and even be live on their phones online and show what's going on.
Back when The Beatles, Michael Jackson, New Kids on the Block were huge and had fans following them.. by the time people knew where they were eating their dinner, they likely were gone. Now people can tweet right away and people can show up. Taylor Swift was celebrating a friend's wedding and fans showed up outside the restaurant and they had to leave the restaurant because of the chaos from her fans. That's sad.
To be a celebrity and talk about anything publicly, you always have to think about what might happen down the road. How people will view it. The whole thing with Ashlee Simpson was such a big thing because she had publicly said she was against lip syncing. Also blaming her band was a very wrong move, in my opinion. Own up to it, it's on tv, everyone saw. Just own up and apologize.

I totally agree about Amy Schumer. Her career blows my mind, like the fact that it exists. She is not funny at all, part of the “loud” humor group, where all you have to do is make loud obnoxious and “idiot” noises and yell in order to be funny. It’s killed comedy for the last decade and whenever I see “comedy” on streaming services I just scroll by because modern comedy is so forced and cringy. Amy is a great example of modern comedy. And it really blew my mind how the narrator talked like lip syncing is almost acceptable in todays world. What true music fan actually supports lip syncing? As a metal head, it’s the cringiest thing to happen in music, and it’s not hard for a veteran music listener to pick up a track playing vs a live performance. I’ve experienced this live at festivals and it’s so disappointing
