    Young man you have inspired my wife and I to do the hike. We live about an hour and a half from the Buffalo river. We are 57 and 60 years of age. Ain’t no hill for a mountain climber!

      No problem. For I'm thankful that's one of the only places I noticed litter on trail (other than Busch Light cans along the gravel road 😒)

    This is awesome. My summer goal is to hike the entire trail. I'm glad I'll have this video for reference.

    Really enjoyed the video! I’m in north Texas and hope to get over to hike it myself one day soon! Nice work.

      Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, Buffalo River is an amazing area, it'd definitely be worth the drive. First time I hiked this trail with my brother back in 2016 we met a group all the way from Pennsylvania!

      The waterfalls definitely made the rain at camp worth it. Thanks!

    Really digging your music choices! BTW, I took your advice in a previous video on the waterfall book by Tim Ernst. Great tip, thanks!

      Nice, it was my favorite book when we lived in the Ozarks. Hope you get a lot of great experiences out of it!
      Also thanks for the compliment on music choices, I can be picky and sometimes it's the most tedious part of editing 😅

    Nice video - what are the water containers you are using and how are you filtering water ?

    Some people think that aluminum will burn. Funny, I still have my 43 y.o. aluminum cookpot, it hasn't burned yet!

    How much food, and what kind, did you pack?

    • @WanderingBlock
      @WanderingBlock  2 роки тому

      One freeze dry meal per day for dinner, tuna pouch and tortillas/bread for lunch; and beef jerky, trail mix, peanut crackers, sugary snacks with my meals and in between.
      I usually bring enough food for an extra night just in case the hike takes longer than expected.
