This was helpful. Im modding a couple of the new brushless RTRs. I did buy the losi motor plate for one of them and a 55t spool gear on amazon from a company called CGRC. The stock 18t pinion was able to scoot closer to mesh with the smaller spur. I also have a 58t slipper spur gear that was for the mini 8ight and a Robinson Racing 19t pinion in the mail.
The latrax motor is probably the best brushed motor for the mini-b. Look for my mini-b part 7 video. I used it at a regional race and it worked well. In hindsight i would take the money and get a brushless combo with a 5200kv motor.

I was looking at the Latrax 370. It says it’s a 23t.
Will the stock pinion be too much for that motor? Are there better brushed options?

do yourself a favor. sell all that stuff. get a spektrum 2 in 1 6000kv. done!
