I love when you show us new products, but I even more enjoy seeing you reuse those great finds again and again - that's when I know the product is worth the money! And it's much more realistic for the average person since we don't get PR :) This turned out soo pretty Allie, as always!
Hi, Allie! You mentioned dirty brushes and never using dirty brushes is one of my acne preventing tip. I am super prone to cystic acne, and have noticed that it gets a lot worse when I use dirty brushes or sponges. The bacteria in them are the worst thing for your skin. Another tip, is to combine acids. I use salicylic in the morning (a lot of SPF on top) and lactic or glycolic at night. The combo helps to clean the pores to avoid breakouts and also exfoliate the skin to get rid of the dryness from the salicylic and the dark spots the dead zits leave behind. 😊 Love your videos!
Patty Maximini I'd love to know how exactly you use the salicylic acid and the glycolic if you wouldn't mind sharing your routine with me it'd be greatly appreciated :)
Sandra Hernandez Hi! 😊 My routine with the acids is very simple. After I was my face (both morning and night) with a cleanser for acne skin, I apply a thin layer of the acid all over my skin, salicylic in the morning and glycolic at night. If I have My active break outs, I put an extra dot of salicylic acid over it to help it dry faster. After the layer of acid is completely absorbed and dry, I go in with the other steps of my skin care. Right now, I'm keeping the rest of my routine very simple. Am: cleanser + salicylic acid (from The Ordinary) + Vichy mineral 89 as my moisturizer (it's a HA gel which is great for acne skin) PM: cleanser + glycolic toning solution (the ordinary) + a retinol prescribed by my dermatologist I find that keeping my skincare simple also helps a lot with the acne. For a while I tried to follow some UA-camrs skin care routines and my sensitive skin freaked out. After that I went to a dermatologist and she explained that when it comes to skin more isn't better. 😊 Hope that helps! Have an awesome day.
Patty Maximini Thank you so much for sharing that with me! It sounds simple and not like it's going to take up my whole morning or night so that's awesome! I hope you have a super blessed day as well and once again thanx a ton!
I’m so excited for this video. I’ve got acne and rosacea and this helps so much. I also love that when you say an “everyday” look you actually do an everyday look. It’s disheartening when other youtubers say “everyday” look and it’s something I wouldn’t wear in ANY situation in my life.
Well timed. I recently began a face explosion adventure. Thank you😊 P.S. I like seeing some repeating products. It shows us what you are continuing to enjoy and use.👍
I really appreciate when you use products again. It helps to see which items you’ve tried and still like. Also, I don’t know anyone that can afford to buy all new products for every makeup look, so it’s more reasonable and feels like less pressure/need to buy the latest and greatest. 💗
Allie - gotta give you some love: You are so relaxed and real, relating what's relevant from your life and experience, while not crossing over into "chatty GRWM" territory. It's a delicate balance and you've managed to find it. I love spending time with you! I've had a rough few months health wise-and when I'm down, I'll pull up one of your videos to cheer me up a bit. Fortunately, I am still catching up with all of them. Don't know how you do it, girl, but I'm glad you do!
Allie it’s so beautifull how you can camouflage and hide your spots and blemishes I wished that I knew how to do that when I was in my 20s,now I am 44 and I am glad I don’t have any spots anymore, sometimes one or two and those are hormonal, but I think you help so many people with this problem. You take care of it so well that you can’t see any of the texture from the spots and redens. You deffinetly deserve a huge compliment for that. And your make up look is so gorgeus and absolutly not overdone or cakey.I realy love your make up tutorials you explain every step so well and let every step see,I learned so much from you,and I am so glad with that.I always love your eyeshadowlook because the shape of my eyes are simular as yours.I want to thank you for everything❤️
I just want to tell you how refreshing it is to see a makeup artist that is relatable. Your personality isn’t overshadowed by lip injections and Botox, and you seem to maintain your humble sweet personality. You are now my favorite beauty youtuber and I only started watching YESTERDAY! 🤣 Side note: I super appreciate you using the same products and using affordable makeup! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Allie, how about a hair video? What hair products u use? Hair masks and how u style your hair down, just an idea for u. Plus , morning and night skincare routines. And a bright look on the lids again. Thank u girl . 😘
I just want to say this video is so amazing. I typed in the SE “drugstore makeup to cover acne”, but I didn’t need it. I already do most of the tips you gave (Matte look, spot conceal, focused eyes, etc), but seeing your raw face and how beautiful you are before all of the makeup goes on, and how much prettier your NATURAL features look when you’re done made me realize, I look the exact same way when I’m finished with my makeup. I have texture from cystic acne (which is what we eat and the reaction our gut has to it, not so much what we do to the outside of our bodies) and this video gave my confidence a huge boost. I’m not going to be that person who sits there and holds my hand over my face anymore. Thank you for sharing your tips...I’m sure it helped so many more than those who’ve just commented.
I love how you address a very common issue like acne. I've seen a few lesser followed UA-camrs who struggle with acne and I love that you are putting yourself out there for everyone, not just those with perfect skin! Thanks Allie!!!! You rock!! 😁😙😙😙
I love you! I want to hide in my room and see NOBODY when I have a breakout, but here you are doing a UA-cam video for all of us. You rock! Confidence is everything and you are inspiring to just accept what I have to work with, breakouts and all :)
Mac soft ocher over smile lines and breakouts under your foundation makes the coverage on my acne last ALL DAY as well as I don't crease as easily in my smile lines. Love that hack!!
I love your channel BECAUSE you use your favorite products more than once. Don’t get me wrong, I get curious about some launches but it’s even more refreshing for a UA-camr to use the same products more than once, thank you for your repeats!
I prefer when you use old products, I find that makeup options are really overwhelming so seeing your go to's help me decide on what is actually great. Thanks for your help.
I got almost all of the products from your last video where you had your followers recommendations. I love all of it. The essence mascara and bronzer and the makeup revolution highlight. Thank u for always having awesome content
omg allie never feel bad about reusing products!! if you reuse them then we really know what your favorites are and not just things you want to try out! love you ❤️
thank you SO MUCH ALLIE i have problem skin too and flare ups are so annoying and it really hurts my confidence because i don't know how to cover everything up without looking like a cake. THANK YOU for realizing that this is a topic that should be covered, not pushed under the rug and forgotten about. I love you and your videos!!!
The lint in the eye struggle is real!! I enjoy seeing products being used more than once by influencers. Sometimes their enthusiasm for a product feels in-genuine if they never use it again. It is so obvious that your beauty is intrinsic as well as extrinsic :D I have learned a lot from your skills, thank you
Dear Allie, the struggle is REAL with flare-ups when you don’t expect it! 👎🏻😑😑😑Totally feel ya on that one. You always do such an amazing job with covering up any blemishes & minimizing the texture (texture coverage for me is my big challenge). Please continue to show your tips to looking as flawless as you do even with breakouts. It’s inspiring for us gals struggling with skin issues as adults to see we’re not alone. 😊
I just found your channel about an hour ago, and I subscribed instantly. You're so down to earth and lovely. I've seen so many beauty youtubers change who they are because of all of the new trends or high end make up coming out. There's so many fake reviews and too many sponsors where you can't even tell if they actually genuinely liked the product or only use it once and then move on. Your channel is such a breath of fresh air. I've only watched 2 videos of yours so far but I already see how your tips for covering skin blemishes are helpful. I must try these. I struggle with texture on my skin so hearing someone talk about ways to cover it better was amazing. Normally no one mentions much about it. Thank you for being such a wonderful person. I'm definitely going to watch more of your videos. Also, I noticed you used a lot of products that are already in my everyday make up look. I love that! So happy I found you. 💓👏
I like the repeat products. It's helpful to see how products are used in different looks especially eye shadows but I feel like they're not repeated enough! Also thanks for the pep talk on the skin made me feel a lot better about my skin
Your skin always looks so flawless!! I've been having trouble with acne and redness and I'm on the road to clearing it up so this tutorial is everything rn 😍
Thank you for making this video! I have problem skin, and never knew how to cover it properly. I also loved the comments you made on self confidence, because it helps a lot of people accept their skin :)
Thanks for doing this video! It reminded me of how I tried to change my makeup routine when I had severe breakouts in the past. And I’m sure this is very helpful for people who are having issues with the skin as well. And you are absolutely right, always smile because that’s the best natural way to keep people from focusing on the breakouts. 😊💕
I never got acne through out high school like maybe a pimple here and there but ever since I got on birth control my skin has been so sensitive to any toxin!!! I’m so glad you made this video❤️❤️
For the past few weeks I've been looking for a video to help with texture and breakout. Stumbled across this today. You really gorgeous inside and out🤩
My face just started breaking out pretty bad again! Perfect timing 😅 also I LOVE it when youtubers reuse products - it helps me know how they really feel about it
Allie you are such a sweet person. This was a great video! I really appreciate your tips! I have adult acne with dry/combo skin and the struggle is real sometimes. I'm tempted to grab both of those foundations to mix and see how they work for me and those setting sprays because your skin really looks so amazing! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤😊
I’m so glad you posted this tutorial! I’m struggling with hormonal adult acne for He for the first time in my life and I’ve def felt like it brings my confidence way down. I can’t wait to incorporate some of these tips into my routine! Thank you so much!
Love love that you are confident in your skin. I just started getting hormonal acne really bad. It’s so frustrating. Thanks for making me feel like I’m not the only one. 💕
This makeup look is absolutely stunning!! Thank you for sharing these techniques & your tips & tricks that actually work!! This will definitely help boost my confidence as well. You look so pretty Allie!
loved this drugstore edition!! i’m a newer subscriber but i’m very happy i have subscribed! you are so inspiring to me. i love makeup so much and i love watching it while i’m in chronic pain. your so beautiful. the before and after was so amazing. you are still beautiful with and without makeup ❤️😻
ashlee emma I have chronic pain as well. It was wonderful when I discovered that when I was putting on makeup, I felt more relaxed and didn't notice my pain. That started acquiring an excessive collection (which I better quit soon). I feel better when I go out into the world if I don't look sick. Funny thing - There is a fellow Spoonie on Instagram that was testing which makeup products held up in the emergency room. 😂 I have found all the cry-proof mascaras.
That is my FAVORITE bronzer. I’ve tried so many and that was my first love and I just keep going back to it! I’ve gone through a whole pan and am on my second.
I have mixed the Rimmel breathable and the regular Rommel so that gives a dewy Fuller coverage. Always love getting ideas from your videos. Keep up the great work!
I’ve been using hyaluronic acid serum with vitamin C in it and it’s helped the texture and breakouts soooo much! Highly recommend anyone struggling with acne and texture issues to try one.
Hi Allie! First, love you! You’re one of the only people I enjoy watching anymore. I just wanted to share what worked miracles for me in terms of acne. Have you tried “washing” your face only with micellar water? As soon as I stopped washing my face with water and a cleanser a miracle happened. I have NO acne to speak of anymore and my skin looks and feels amazing. I wash my face with micellar on a pad (I use the Boscia Sake Water) and then follow up with a serum and moisturizer. Just thought I’d share what worked for me and maybe it’ll work for you! Either way you’re beautiful inside and out 😊❤️
Hey Allie! Loved this video! Very applicable to many ladies because many of us struggle with acne and the effects on our confidence that comes with it. Just FYI if you haven’t tried it- visit your dermatologist and ask for aczone and tazorac topical ointments along with a round of doxycycline antibiotic. I struggled years with horrible cystic acne and even had to take accutane to treat it. But the last few years it tried to come back and these things helped SO much. Just wanted to mention them in case it would help you. You are beautiful and I love what you do. God bless and keep up the excellent work on you tube! ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing these tips! Acne is one of my weak points because some people just stare at my face like wth is on her face at times I dont wear makeup. So yeah these tips will definetly help me. Lots of love! 💞
Allie THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have acne problems just like you, and so many times is very difficult being confident because you think that everybody is judging you because of that! But seeing you I can feel that you can fix it all with a little bit of make up!
Love the message of this video! Acne is such a pain, but it should never get in the way of self-confidence. Video request: More looks with ABH soft glam palette.........please!
Your drugstore makeup tutorials are my favorite! It shows that it doesn't matter what you have it's how you use it. You're so beautiful, Allie! 💕 (P.S. Thanks for using affordable products. I've picked up many of your recommendations and have loved every single one. ☺️)
More from Essence I ❤: brighten up banana powder for under the eyes and the soft contouring lip liners (no specific color, I have tons) 😊 I love the pure nude highlighter too for my more natural everyday highlight! Also, I love when you repeat products because we get to see them beyond just first impressions. I sadly can't have a big beautiful collection of makeup so I like to get the reliable products that everyone reaches for more often. Your videos are so helpful and I end up getting most of your recommendations 😘
This was such a good video! I initially watched it b/c I need to cover hyperpigmentation (I don't break out much anymore, thank God!) and wondered what drugstore products you used. Your techniques are great and I love the drugstore products (since I'm really pretty frugal). New subscriber here. So glad I found you!!
Allie, your tutorials are the best! I enjoy you using “older” products. Sometimes it’s overwhelming to see influencers using new stuff all the time and my wallet gets tired 😅 Could you do a video on matching lip colors to different eye looks? Love you!!
I suffer from acne horribly. This weekend it just started to flare up again. Thank you for sharing tips on how to help cover the redness more n make the makeup look more skin like. I do feel I add more when I’m trying to cover up my blemishes or redness
I am so grateful that you talk about acne, I struggle with it. How can you get rid of the scaliness and peeling skin over the acne? My goodness, I am having such a hard time with my skin lately. Love ya!
OMG I AM SO GLAD I FOUND YOU. Maybe it's just me, but a lot of the "Acne Cover" videos are just people that have like one pimple. Like, come on honey, you have no idea the struggle. You're Beautiful, and screw acne.
honestly, you are so beautiful, with or with a full face of makeup! I actually love the eyes for this look - even though it wasn't the main point. Also,, you nail color gives me life
Beautiful Allie, you look lovely! Yes BH still make the classic blush palette - I just got mine in the mail on monday.... and it's just so NICE!! I love it. My acne/breakout tip - cooled chamomile tea bags - they soothe the soreness/irritation and can help with the redness.... I really like using stuff like this, witch hazel & vitamin e instead of more chemical type stuff.
Do u boo! I actually love u use stuff over again it brings u back to earth with the rest of us!!! I own 5 bronzers and two of them are ur recommendations!!!💓😘
You are soo pretty inside and outside!.. from someone who suffers from adult acne!.. thank you for your words!..... everytime I watch your videos I learn something new... and you always remind me about Ariel from the little mermaid!.. 😀😀💕 God bless you and keep you always as humble and kind as you are!..
Agreed! But the worst is when you're taking them out & like someone said it's stuck under the lid, or bunched up & I usually will pull down the contact & take it out from the top of the iris area, have you done this? I think about 3 or 4 times I've accidentally tried to take off my iris before realizing the contact either already popped out on it's own from lifting my lid or was bunched up. Ugh painful. Once ended up with an ulcer because of my short yet deceptively sharp nails.
Thank you for sharing your tips. I occasionally get a few flared acne spots mostly on my chin, and get so frustrated that I over apply concealer making it worse. This is great for making my skin still look like skin. Thank you.
You are beautiful! I struggled with acne and dry skin really similar to yours in the same jaw line/cheek area. I have almost cleared it completely this last year by not using primer and switching to all natural moisturizer like Burt's bees. (silicone and coconut oil are big no no's for my skin!) p.s. I really appreciate your all drugstore videos :)
I'm so happy I found your channel! I suffer with trying to cover my break outs! So I'm glad this video was suggest to me! And I think you are beautiful with or without makeup! Im so excited to watch more of your videos!
Allie it is most definitely OK to use the same products over & over!! It actually doesn’t even make sense to use a product once & just move to the next launched one because for those of us who HAVE to buy the products because we don’t get them for free, it makes it hard for us thinking we need to buy everything influencers show! Like why would we even spend money on a product we are only going to use once or twice? It’s so foolish!! So please don’t apologize for re-using products. I agree with u that influencers SHOULD use more of the same. It’s nice to know of new things but at the same time, not realistic at all to go buy products every time something new comes out. That can quickly turn into hoarding!🤯 So thank u for going back to old products!! Absolutely adore u & love watching u.❤️💕😘
i’m extremely late on watching this, but i think it’d be awesome if you did a throwback thursday or flashback friday series where you use old products, because that’s what a lot of us subscribers have and love. great video as always 💕
I thought that notification would never come! Gotta get my Allie fix. I would leave to see you do more tutorials with the same makeup products, so much so that you would have play lists for certain types of tutorials or palettes. There are so many videos out there of swatches and dupes and tests and reviews and lions and tigers and bears - oh, my! I have learned so much from your tutorials, even though I've watched many others.
Such great tips!! Thanks for posting! Not sure why I never thought of mixing foundations. I know I’ve seen you do it before but more to just adjust color) but I tried it to make a matte foundation less matte by adding a spf more dewey foundation and found my winning combo! Thank you!
Two things!! 1. When I have a bad and red pimple I use a little green concealer with a little of skin colored concealer helps a lot. Then you don't get the weird white cast with the color correction. 2. Have you ever tried ColourPop pressed Bronzer, Blush, or Highlight? I'd love to see a review of them! They have lots of shades. They are affordable and look intriguing!
I love this so much my friend that I’m doing makeup on has the same breakouts like you and I know me showing her these tips are gonna make her feel so pretty 💗
I appreciate influencers that use products consistently which I feel shows that it’s a good product!
I MARRIED A PRINCESS OMG 😍
Allie & Tylan a queen.
Allie & Tylan LOVE FROM THE PH! ❤️
Allie & Tylan hahaha I love you!!!
Karla Vanessa haha YESSS a princess and a QUEEN!! Amennnn 🙌🏼❤️💕
Aww😍😭😭

You are such a doll, Allie! I am a 60 year old grandma who loves makeup and tutorials. Keep them coming💕

As someone who struggles with acne I loved seeing this! Thank you 🧡
You should definitely give the brand Catrice a try. I love their foundations, they are perfect for acne prone skin and like 5 bucks!

I actually really like seeing youtubers use the same products! It shows what you actually really love or what products are versatile.

For the past few weeks I've been looking for a video to help with texture and breakout. Stumbled across this today. You really gorgeous inside and out🤩
I love how thorough you are in explaining how and why you're using what you're using. Love everything about your channel 💛
I can't get over how smooth and bright your under eyes look without anything on them!!
Girl I clicked on this SO FAST. My acne has been pretty bad as well, can't wait to try some of these tricks for myself!
GretchenVaughn i found some great cry proof mascaras as well😂 i agree i hate looking sick and makeup can just eliminate that
First video I ever watched and I subbed! You seem so genuine 🙂
THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️ Welcome to the family 💕😘🎉
Omg girl, same here 😍❤️❤️
I love when you include drugstore products in your videos. 💜
Oh yayyy! I was just getting discouraged today because my acne has flared up so bad lately. Thanks for the tips and tricks! You’re so beautiful!
I'm in love with that foundation! You look gorgeous as always btw!!😍❤ love you so much allie!!
This video is so helpful! I just had a breakout attack as well so yay now I know what to do!!
That is my FAVORITE bronzer. I’ve tried so many and that was my first love and I just keep going back to it! I’ve gone through a whole pan and am on my second.
I have so much respect! You are so brave to show your "imperfections"
I know I couldn't do it... you're such an inspriration!
Loved the video :)
Either way you’re beautiful inside and out 😊❤️
I love when you use repeat makeup items that you’ve used before!! Great advice!
Yesss🙌 thank you I've been breaking out more recently. Love you girl 😁💙
Love the message of this video! Acne is such a pain, but it should never get in the way of self-confidence. Video request: More looks with ABH soft glam palette.........please!
I love how you do your makeup! I know you have issues with your skin however you make your skin look so natural, beautiful 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Your drugstore makeup tutorials are my favorite! It shows that it doesn't matter what you have it's how you use it. You're so beautiful, Allie! 💕 (P.S. Thanks for using affordable products. I've picked up many of your recommendations and have loved every single one. ☺️)
Allie, you are the most genuine and real UA-camr... love it! ❤️
I love that you use the same products becuase it makes it easier for me to recreate your looks without having to spend a ton of money on new products
Also,, you nail color gives me life
Your nailssssssss... living for them
It is amazing how much i can learn in 27minutes. Your so great in telling us why and give so manny tips and trick ❤
Your the best allir
Beautiful Allie, you look lovely! Yes BH still make the classic blush palette - I just got mine in the mail on monday.... and it's just so NICE!! I love it. My acne/breakout tip - cooled chamomile tea bags - they soothe the soreness/irritation and can help with the redness.... I really like using stuff like this, witch hazel & vitamin e instead of more chemical type stuff.
My skin is acting out a lot lately 🙄 this is so helpful, thanks.
You did a fantastic job in covering the outbreak. Wow. Looks fabulous. Thank you for sharing. 😊👍
From One Contact wearer to another......the struggles are real!! And then when your eyes start to water and your whole look is ruined😭😭😭
Crystal Fuentes So brutal. Nearly ruins my day 🤦🏻♀️
Crystal Fuentes yes!!!
(silicone and coconut oil are big no no's for my skin!)
p.s. I really appreciate your all drugstore videos :)
Thanks for using repeats! It shows the product is really doing what it should
I'm so happy I found your channel! I suffer with trying to cover my break outs! So I'm glad this video was suggest to me! And I think you are beautiful with or without makeup! Im so excited to watch more of your videos!
This honestly is such a help because I struggle with acne sometimes and this gave really good advice!
I love the side by side before and after photos! I love your looks! Your eye shadow is beautiful and lips are such a beautiful color!
I love when you say “ you know i’m saying” 🙂 in every video. And love your nails colour!!
Liked it before I even watched cause Allie never disappoints! Love love love you Allie!
Best acne coverage video I’ve ever watched - & I’ve watched MANY! Thanks girl, you are the bomb! I subscribed 3 minutes in! 😘😘😘
Such a helpful video, even for me without any active breakouts! Great guideline video :D keep up the good work!
I love this so much my friend that I’m doing makeup on has the same breakouts like you and I know me showing her these tips are gonna make her feel so pretty 💗
